Disposable ink cartidges - convenient, sometimes proprietary.

Ink bladders - dip the pen into the ink and squeeze a rubber bladder to
evacuate the air and draw in ink. Some cartridge pens are convertible and
have a bladder.

Some pens allow you to fill the body with ink, but that seems awfully
dangerous.
