Tony,

V>We don't seem to have those issues here.  I haven't heard anyone claim to hav
V>emergency traffic on the Isolation Net, even though there's space for that at
V>the start.

One ham in west Texas (he apparently has a lot of issues) has violated
net protocol on several nets...and several net controls do not want him
on there. He thinks the world, ham radio, and nets, revolve around him.

V>Hmm, we don't do pre checkins here.  One could debate the pros and cons
V>of that

I've known that for both RF and VoIP Nets. I no longer checkin to the
Skywarn Hurricane Prep Net...I got burned out on weather after 28 years
in ham radio.

V>Yeah that's definitely not on.

I have a letter prepared for the trustee of the D-Star Repeater in his
area...and if he gives me any more trouble, I'll send that letter to the
trustee, asking that this individual's access be changed to "listen
only"...where he can't transmit.

To make things worse, he is impatient, and has a very short attention
span...leaving the net without telling Net Control he needs to secure.
To me, that's as rude as leaving a party without bidding the host
"adieu".

To use the 4 modes of ham radio formal written traffic, he thinks it's
an EMERGENCY if is ROUTINE traffic isn't given PRIORITY, because his
HEALTH AND WELFARE (his ego) will be shattered.
