I never heard of someone taking  lightning hit from a humidifier in a cpap.
I won't rule it out.  If you need a cpap and you live in a storm belt area (I
do as well) I would consider a UPS /battery backup for the device to keep it
running in a storm and act as a form of isolation from surges and spikes.
Burning up a UPs is better than getting zapped or burning up a cpap machine.
