I've got two Hi-Points, the JHP pistol and the 4595 FGFL LAZ (as in normal
carbine with add-on forward grip, light and laser). The're both fun to shoot.
The pistol is heavy as sin, way too heavy for me to want to carry, and to tell
the truth, I've got a bum shoulder that makes extended time with that gun a bit
of a pain, but it DOES sit in my nightstand because if I need something to go
BANG when I pull the trigger, that one has never let me down.

The Sundance is one of those Ring of Fire guns, like the Jennings, Bryco and
Pheonix. They made guns with alloy frames and inexpensive mechanisms, sold for
like $75 brand new. There's not a niche market for them, I paid $125 for a .25
auto, nickel plated. Not a great gun, but it does what it was made to do,
which is to put a functional firearm in the hands of someone who didn't have a
lot of money to spend. Truth be told, that little $125 plinker is a hell of a
lot easier for me to shoot than my $475 Colt 1908 (which I am now seeing at
$800 at any gun show I go to).
