Rural King is similar to Tractor Supply Co or the chain formerly known as
Farm and Fleet. At first, they didn't sell firearms, then a few years after w
e got a local store they added guns and ammo to their sporting goods. Funny
thing is on a shooting forum I frequent, there was a member posting in the
state specific forum areas that he was a marketing guy for a major farm store
chain, and wanted feedback on which brands to shop for, and wanted to know if
customers would be interested in buying ammunition by the case or crate load
(1000 rounds or more.) After RK brought in firearms, it was pretty clear who
he worked for.
My local RK has some really firendly and helpful employees. Most look like
they are happy to work there. The guys behind the gun counter are
knowledgable about what's in stock and what other shops in the area are
selling similar guns and ammo for.
