it could be i got a funny version. i installed it using chocolately.

i just tried the manual install and it had the install location as being in
an appdata /core dir.

i changed to another directory destination and now
having the same issue with no being able to pin the email icon to the pane
and not using the hotkey.   pretty weird.  also i see the installer did not
use the directory i provided.

so what i did was search for all the files and delete them and then ran the
install again and during the install it asked for the mail,etc.
