Yes I have AMD for graphics and CPU so I am running the open source ones.
When I had a nvidia one it was an older card and it ran better with the
closed source drivers, but that was a whole other message in itself on
getting that stable. LOL

I've got 2 64's, and a 128 here. 1541, 1541II, 1541C and 1571 drives. LOL
One of the 64's was mine from age 13-18 when I sold it to a friend who years
later gave it back with his. So every one of the computers and drives here
I used as a teenager. LOL
They were in the storage closet for years, but two years ago (Oct 21) I
quit drinking so the money I saved allowed me to pick up some toys for
the old machines. Network card, floppy cable, etc. So I've been slowly
getting my side of the room setup. Project this weekend is a couple of
movable shelves that I'm attaching to the wall in front of me that I can
reach up and move them into "position" to be used.
I will share videos of this when I'm done. Friend of mine is 3d printing
some of the parts for me and helping me design everything. (Same friend
who gave me the commodore's back over 10 years ago!)
As for coding, I will be honest and I am using my laptop to write the code
and emulator for testing it. Once it "works" I send it to a 1541 and test
on the real hardware. I'm having fun and staying outta Andrea's hair so
everyone is happy. hahaha
