My pool has one of those 'airator' things, where it just sprays the water out
of a little plastic spout that spreads it out and back into the pool while the
pump is on. I can really feel the difference in temperature when I run the pump
with that turned on. In fact, since my pool is fairly deep, I keep it off
because it makes it TOO chilly. But for a smaller pool that gets to feel like
bath water, it's an awesome feature. Not sure if all of them have that, or
what.

It makes a difference when you run your pump, too. And right now I don't
remember if daytime makes it cooler or not. Daytime helps with keeping the
algea down during the summer, though.. so yeah, must be daytime.
