Hell, the average Relative Humidity here (at about 7000' elevation and on the
lee (dry) side of the Rockies) runs less than 50%.  In fact right now, with my
window open to the outside, the RH in this room is 21%.  We literally get
static shocks when opening doors and such all year long, not just in the winter
like when I lived back east.  In these parts, we need humidifiers more than
dehumidifiers - and the use of evaporative coolers is VERY popular.  If I could
keep the RH in my UP to 39% I'd be thrilled!
