I don't know about this particular case, but I am sure movie ratings in most common platforms are completely manipulated.

I remember films as bad as Time Trap getting very good scores from user comments, but when you checked the user reviews you could tell it was all orchestrated. Lots of people agreeing to praise certain part of the film that is objectively bad, or criticising certain thing that was not worth focusing on... that is a tell sign that it was an organized effort to affect the ratings and percection of the movie.

It is not so obvious most of the time, but if you pay close attention you often see this. You often see this happen with videogame reviews. For example, many reviews about Veilguard paraphrased certain sentences wortd-by-word.
