Not to this degree it does not.

You should never respond to someone without going through your chain of
command. It looked very much like a potential phishing scheme, which is
something you should never respond to. I have seen the email and would
have reported it to our IT Security team.

That is possible. If it is dealt with through the proper channels, then
you get them fired, they stay fired, and you don't have to keep paying them
to do nothing.
