I don't know. I suspect it would be like wanting a horse and having to settle for horse figurines. Substitutes help you get going up to a point but deep down you know you are not getting the real thing. Living on substitutes causes an emotional vacuum.

TBH I find it very revealing that every sort of disphoria is classified as a psychiatric condition but, somehow, gender disphoria isn't. Plus, people who has acute body disphoria does not get "transitioned" (ie. somebody who claims his arm is not his does not get his arm amputated).
