That is interesting.  "People" (i.e. fake accounts) try to friend me all
the time.

I think they get around this by showing us shorts from "another platform"
-- Instragram -- which also happens to be part of Meta, the FB parent
company.  So they are not really posting on FB, but FB shows them to you
nonetheless.

I also think it is weird that they will show me friend suggestions of
people I "might know" who I have absolutely no connection with and are
usually not even from my part of the country (or even from the USA at all).
