I have even more cringeworthy tales to tell. I remember an IRC channel in some Spanish network that was a Troll channel. Many operators of other regular channels would kick you out from their places if they learnt you were logged to the troll channel.

To be honest, the troll channel was so bad you would think it was hiding under a bridge in order to pounce on unsuspecting travelers, but ban-on-sight was very wtf in my book.
