Yeah, there are a ton of pictures from this baloon.  there's even home video of an F-22 firing a missile at it.

Maybe the previous balloons were much smaller?

Pretty sure I heard about it on BBC World News, which doesn't have much of a dog in the "bash Trump for more viewers" race.
