winamp has been sold atleast twice. i dont really trust whoever is running it
now.  i'm pretty sure their support and updates are poor at this time.

regarding it dropping, that's a good thing but it's annoying.  it is showing
your server has some issue. you might be getting attacked or it cant handle
the bandwidth.  i've had it happen to me and when i investigated i had a lot
of bogus connections from attackers.
