  1. What's your favourite item to cook?      /        _/         /_       _/
                                             /-        /        _/         /
this   one    depends   on   the     \________/\________/\___/____/
situation,  if I'm  cooking for  myself I
like cereal  which isn't really  cooking at all, if  it's for the  family I
like to do spaghetti  bolognese and if it's for the  extended family I love
making them all Japanese style curry.

  2. What films have you watched over and over again?

Hackers, The Crow and The Warriors are obvious comfort movies for me,
they're the kind  of films I sink  into not even to watch,  just consume to
make myself feel  better or more stable. they're ones  pretty much everyone
knows about  me so let me  share a deep cut:  Spike Lee's 1989 film  Do the
Right Thing. Do the  Right Thing is my flight movie, it's a  film I love to
watch but it's one I keep in  my pocket to watch on long haul international
fights. it wasn't intentional, it just happened that way and when I noticed
the habit I started just seeking it out. For some reason it's almost always
  on the in flight entertainment.

it's  a  great film,  masterfully  shot,  filled  with all  kinds  of
wonderful  characters  and  dialogue,  and it  carries  a  really  timeless
message. I highly recommend it, long haul flight or no.

  3. What film did you most enjoy watching this year?

the real standout for me so far  this year has been Warfare. it was a
hard watch, it's pretty grim, but  the direction and cinematography were so
tight and polished and the pacing was agonizingly perfect, it really left a
  mark on me.

  4. How comfortable are you with uncertainty?

I was  going respond similarly to  solderpunk[2] in that I  get along
fine but when I  reflected on it I think I'm not, like  not at all, I don't
pay much mind to things out of my control but I also won't plan more than a
few days ahead, a  week at most, because my life has  been in such upheaval
for the last few years. I'm not timid  in the face of uncertainty but to be
comfortable with it  I pare it down  to its smallest manageable  level so I
guess both comfortable and uncomfortable is true for that one.

  5. What's one of your hobbies?

        Responding to lists on Gopherspace!
