Thanks for buying Card Reader!
[Overview]
Mobile Stream Card Reader allows to use Palm-powered handhelds as
an ordinary USB/Bluetooth card reader for quick and easy file exchange.
* Great USB transfer speed (up to 1200KB/s for reading
and up to 1100KB/s for writing on most modern handhelds)
* Background operation support
* Ability to export multiple slots at the same time
* Experimental Bluetooth FTP support
* Small memory footprint (60KB)
Note: background mode support is an EXPERIMENTAL feature.
[Installation]
Any previously installed versions should be removed before
installing the new one.
CardReader.prc has to be installed onto the handheld RAM.
Installation onto SD Card, Memory Stick, Compact Flash card or
internal Hard Drive is not supported.
[Uninstall]
To remove the Card Reader, use the "Delete" menu option of
PalmOS Launcher.
[Checkbox Options]
"Force write protection" - this option, if checked, will export
the storage card as write protected even if a hardware
read-only lock is disabled. Cannot be toggled during an
active USB mass storage session.
"Try to connect on launching" - this option, if checked, will make
the application attempt to connect to the PC host if the
handheld is in the USB cradle or mini-USB cable is plugged in.
"Enable power off if no I/O activity" - this HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL
option, if checked, will enable automatic power off if there
is no read/write activity. It might help to prevent battery
draining after a long copy operation without human control.
"Permit backlight disabling" - this EXPERIMENTAL option, if checked,
will turn off the display backlight if there is no user
activity for one minute to save the battery power. This option
is ignored if Card Reader works in background mode.
[Bluetooth FTP notes]
- Link is authenticated but not encrypted unless the peer requires it
- Only one session is supported at once
- Deleting a folder may fail if it is not empty
- Incomplete file is not deleted if the PUT operation failed
