Doug,

DC> Curious to know what anti-virus anti-malware software each of you are
DC> using, on your BBS machine.  I'm on windows 10, tried Avast, and had to
DC> remove it. It seemed to lack the settings to allow the BBS to run
DC> without it questioning every file loaded (mis in mystic, exe files for
DC> online games, etc...) Since removing it, I'm still experiencing delays
DC> at login for up to 10 seconds  via telnet.  I'm not quite sure how to
DC> fix it now.  Regardless, I'd like to have something .. free preferred
DC> or at minimum not a rip off like AVAST wanted to do (the charges to add
DC> what should be automatically included were a bit much: $49 for basic,
DC> more for pro, more for vpn, driver updates, etc...) it felt like the
DC> game Roblocks my kids play -- they're always wanting more money to buy
DC> robucks to purchase items within the game ... smh.

I'm using the IObit Malware Fighter. You can get a yearly subscription for
$40, I believe, but it's valid for 3 computers. They have several other great
utilities for Windows systems, and at times, good deals on them. I think
except for IObit Uninstaller and SmartDefrag, which are for 1 computer only,
per license...most of the rest of the items are for 3 computers upon a yearly
registration. To me, it's worth it. They are at https://www.iobit.com

In the past, I've used McAfee, CA Internet Security, and F-Prot.

Daryl
