So what? There's fiber in the house where I live but I'm not connected.
WiFi means that the communication is by radio waves in the GHz bands.

I use Wifi on all my laptops and also on the stationary machines.
To use WiFi on stationary machines you need a Network Adapter that
either plugs into a USB port or connects to a network port.

In my case it's an Asus USB-N13 Network adapter.

The laptops have a built-in WiFi adapter, even the oldest ones have it.

I still have two copper lines connected to the phone company.
