You've got a menu bar along the top? Click View - which should open the View
ribbon below the menus. On the left of that, you should see an item -
Navigation pane. Click that and there should be an option to view the
Navigation pane or not. Click to enable it.

Next step(s) will be to customize what appears in the Navigation Pane - what
you've referred to as the 'Left Listing'. You can add - or remove - items from
the Quick Access list by right-clicking them (in the larger main window) and
choosing Pin to Quick Access. You can re-order items in the Quick Access list
by simply dragging them up or down.
