Hey Benny!

MK>> I am still using 2.33 as we speak.

BP> same here, what does 2.34 do that cant wait ?

Totally break the new firefox-91 builds.  seamonkey-2.53.9 works though so it isn't a total loss unless of course you *NEED* firefox, especially the esr source.  Also firefox-91 claims that you won't be able to compile it on older systems.  So far my experience seems to indicate the exact opposite.  It is early though.  Anyhow some people need firefox to properly stream from amazon and the such since seamonkey cannot - and more than likely every other gui browser except the google one (chrome or chromium or ?????).

BP> i keep amd64 in gentoo for stable ebuild atleast for @system ebuilds

+1

I am in the process of upgrading three machines but am sticking with glibc-2.33 for more or less the same reasons as you.  Two of them don't have gui's and seldom have a monitor and/or keyboard attached.  The one I am replying to your msg, where Little Mikey's Brain resides, is a prime case.

Works like a charm and will be easy to upgrade to glibc-2.34 if that day ever comes.  Heck I might skip over it to glibc-2.35 ... in Febuary-ish that is.

Life is good,
Maurice
