practise is a verb and practice is a noun.

You CAN pronounce ginger as in singer. You'd be the life of the
party! I know people who play around with words like that all
the time. It's unexpected and hilarious. You can even embellish
it by changing the emPHAsis on a differnet sylLABle.
I get a kick out of how frech-canadians pronounce develop: de-
ve-LUP. Where as the englaise prounce it: de-VEL-up.
