Sorry but 8" on some kit had double cap. of >2Mb and yes I did use them to
pass
files as I had a Cromemco at work running *nix with twin 8" drives and a DASD
containning a 80Mb fixed with a 16Mb removable as well as a slightly smaller
one at home also running *nix but without any hard drives until 86 or so when
installed some SCSI units.

Should also point out that I used a DAT drive on the home one and then only
sent those out for file updates via the UK Filegate host as he did not run to
dual fast pots systems (64kb x 2) but USR modems as most of us.
