I'm impressed with the tech-stuff newer townhouses have - My dad and his wife
moved into one in recent years where there was an actual patch-panel in the
basement and Ethernet jacks in every room, sometimes a couple. The way it was
designed to sit just under the stairwell was very neat and clean... even
enough room to slide in a standard 19" rack unit if necessary.

The Nokia media gateway that comes with the Bell fiber install expects
Vlan-tagging, which most off the shelf routers cannot do on the WAN side of
things. But Pfsense does it perfectly...
