BJR> I am currently setting up a Maximus BBS called crazy town and I am
BJR> brand spanking new to Binkley. I have not a clue how to set it up to
BJR> work with Maximus software as well the Telnet. Can someone give me a

BJR> my BBS on telnet.

If you're setting up on Windows, use NetFoss as your FOSSIL and TelSrv/GameSrv
as your telnet server.

The BinkleyTerm documentation is confusing and out of date. Much detail on how
to optimise crap WaZOO/Bark protocols nobody uses anymore and writing scripts
for use with "GTE Telenet PC Pursuit" (oh my god) etc.

Bt_User.Doc contains installation notes, and Bt_Ref.Doc contains descriptions
of configuration options and some deployment notes (eg. ErrorLevel vs. BBSSpawn
methods).

1. Copy the basic configuration file (NewUser.Cfg) to \bt\Binkley.Cfg (it
should be found in the Bdoc_260.rar package

2. Copy the basic event file (Binkley.Evt) to \bt\Binkley.Evt

3. Modify the essential stuff in Binkley.Cfg

4. Add "event all 00:00 b m" to Binkley.Evt

5. Run a real comport Fossil like BNU/ADF

6. Run Bt.exe

For examples on how to setup a main BinkleyTerm batch file, see the reference
guide.

BinkleyTerm is an antiquated pain in the ass. You don't need BinkleyTerm for
anything these days unless you're using dialup mail sessions.

I only use BinkleyTerm for scheduling events like mail/msgarea related
maintenance, and for kicks.
