Hi Tony!

03 Jul 2019 14:40, from Tony Langdon -> All:

TL> + 03 Jul 14:27:02 [16166] getaddrinfo failed: Servname not supported
TL> for ai_socktype (-8)

Indeed strange ... ai_socktype should be TCP/UDP:
ai_socktype
This field specifies the preferred socket type, for example SOCK_STREAM or
SOCK_DGRAM.  Specifying 0 in this field indicates that socket addresses of any
type can be returned by getaddrinfo().

I do not think it has something to do with BinkD.
It is just an error that your OS (Linux?) reports back to BinkD.
The question is why ... to be honest I have no clue.
Easiest would be to hardcode an IPv4 address ... that should work by
eliminating the DNS query.

If you want to get to the bottom of this you could use ltrace to trace what
calls are done, and take a look what is in the call that fails.

It could also be an IPv4/IPv6 issue maybe??

Keep us informed ...
