Subj : Tank Maintenance 12-05-10

Today I carried out a standard maintenance routine. This included a
20-gallon water change, cleaning out the sponges and cartridges in the two
Penguin 330 Bio-Wheel filters, removing algae from three panes of glass,
stirring up the sand substrate along the front side, and rearranging a few
rocks that slid down while I was conducting the water change.
Other than that, the tank continues to do well, with lots of sparring males,
usually a few females mouth-brooding their eggs simultaneously, and an
occasional view of a young fry that has somehow manage to evade all of the
hungry mouths.
Until next time.
