As I anticipated, today Mama Mbuna released the remainder of her fry. By
this evening, I was able to simultaneously locate five of them, although I
suspect that there are probably more of them hiding within the rock decor.
Sadly, shortly after making my observations, I watched as the dominant male
which had fathered them, chased and ate one of the fry. As I mentioned in
previous posts, given the high fish population in the tank, I suspect that
the remaining fry may eventually suffer the same horrible fate.
