MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Hot Peanut Sauce

     Yield: 4 Servings

   1/2 tb Fresh ginger root; grated
     1    Red chili; fresh or dried,
          - with seeds
   1/2 ts Asafetida (Hing)
     1 tb Oil
     3 c  Water
     1 c  Roasted peanuts; crushed
     2 tb Soy sauce
   1/3 c  Peanut butter
          Salt; to taste

 Sauté spices in oil for 1 to 2 minutes and add water, nuts, and soy
 sauce. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, stirring regularly. Add peanut
 butter and cook a further 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add salt to
 taste. Pour over grains and vegetables.
