MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Julia Child's Herb Biscuits
Categories: Breads, Herbs, Dairy
     Yield: 24 servings

     3 c  All-purpose flour
     2 ts Salt
     4 ts Baking powder
     1 ts Baking soda
     8 tb Shortening; chilled
     4 tb Chives; minced
     4 tb Parsley; minced
     2 lg Eggs; beaten
 1 1/2 c  Buttermilk

 Combine all dry ingredients in large bowl.

 Cut in the shortening.

 Add minced herbs.

 Stir in the eggs & buttermilk.

 Turn onto a floured surface & knead mixture briefly.

 Pat or roll out to 1/2" thickness & cut into rounds.

 Bake on an ungreased baking pan @ 450°F/232°C for 10-15 minutes.
