MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Dried Fruit Chutney
Categories: Chutneys
     Yield: 2 Cups

     1 c  Dried apricots
   1/2 c  Dried apples; chopped
   1/2 c  Prunes; pitted, chopped
   1/4 c  Dates; pitted, chopped
     1 sm Onion; minced
     1 sm Dried chile; seeded, chopped
   1/2 c  Natural sugar
   1/2 c  Cider vinegar
   1/2 c  Water
     1 tb Fresh ginger; minced
     1 ts Ground allspice
   1/8 ts Salt

 Soak the apricots in boiling water to cover for 15 minutes. Drain and
 chop the apricots, then place in a medium-size saucepan over medium
 heat. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the
 heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, until the chutney is
 thick, 30 to 40 minutes.

 Let cool to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator in a tightly
 sealed container, where it will keep for several weeks. Serve at room
 temperature.
