MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Herbed Rice Pilaf

     Yield: 6 servings

     1 c  Uncooked long grain rice
     1 c  Celery; chopped
   3/4 c  Onion; chopped
   1/4 c  Butter; diced
 2 1/2 c  Water
 2 1/2 oz Env chicken-noodle soup mix
     1 ts Dried thyme
   1/4 ts Rubbed sage
   1/4 ts Pepper
     2 tb Fresh parsley; minced
     1 tb Pimientos; chopped (optional)

 In a large skillet, cook the rice, celery and onion in
 butter, stirring constantly, until rice is browned. Stir
 in the next 5 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat;
 cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley;
 stir in pimientos if desired.

 Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
 Fluff with a fork.
