MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

     Title: Chickpeas

     Yield: 6 servings

     1 tb Olive oil; or more
     1 sm Onion; diced small
     1 cl Garlic; minced
          Rosemary; essential
          Thyme (optional)
          Cumin (optional)
          Oregano; essential
          Pepper; essential
     2 cn Chickpeas (or 1 lg can);
          -drained
    12 oz Tomato sauce

 M's notes: Add the herbs in descending quantity according
 to the order listed. For a more authentic taste, use at
 least an ounce of olive oil.

 Saute the onion in the oil. When it's wilted, add the
 garlic and cook a couple minutes.

 Add the herbs and cook a minute more.

 Add the canned goods, cover, and cook atop the stove on
 low or in the oven for an arbitrarily long time, at least
 30 minutes. If you cook at a higher temperature, as I did, the
 olive oil will splatter all over the lid and be wasted.
