90's/2000: I think this guy is like the Mario from SSB and SSBM. Well-
rounded and average speed. He is a bit quick in running and attacking,
but mainly average. As for the 2000 counterpart, he is a bit faster and
his tail is somewhat stronger, also he looks bulkier and his atomic
waves are colored differently.

POWER-UPS
---------
Health Power-up (green cross): Increases Health in Health Bar
Rage Power-Up: A red and yellow shining orb, this power-up sends your
monster immediately into Rage. When in Rage, hit A and X at the same
time to use a powerful Rage Attack.
Energy Power-Up: This lightning bolt symbol instantly grants all your
energy back, and makes it refill much quicker than normally.
Mothra AirStrike Power-up: If you grab this, Mothra comes into the
battle and shoots your opponent(s) for you. If Mothra is against you,
shoot it with a Beam Attack to make it leave you alone. While its shots
do very little damage, this can accumulate over time and become
increasingly annoying.

There are always eight rounds in the main story game, where you are
pitted against another single monster in a head-to-head battle. Also,
the final battle is always against Mechagodzilla, unless you are him, in
which case you fight Mecha King Ghidorah.

Since the only plotline with Story Mode is that aliens are controlling
the various monsters, there's not much I can offer on that. Also, I
can't give a strategy for defeating the monsters because I don't know
who you're using. However, I can give the fighting line-up for each
monster, so here they are.

When you first begin the game, you only start with a mere three
monsters: Godzilla 90's, Anguirus, and Megalon. By beating the game with
these characters, you can unlock new monsters to use in the different
modes. You in turn beat the game with these new characters and unlock
further characters. Here is a simple map of the unlocking process:
