- Alright....I always start out my walkthroughs with my personal opinions
 about the game I'm writing about. I have to say that this game was
 overhyped some. I mean I was disappointed in the fact that it wasn't a
 vastly huge world to explore like originally said, and that the
 storyline for this game was pretty short and simple. But with all it's
 small faults I still love this game. You do get a great amount of
 freedom in this game to do what you want when you want. You can
 complete this game in like a day or two if you just follow the
 storyline, but if you don't, then you'll be in for a long haul of extra
 stuff to do. One main pet peeve of mine is this game is it's high
 glitchy level. It reminds me of a few Star Wars games that have come
 out. The glitches aren't anything that can't be dealt with since they
 mainly pertain to either the stage not loading all the way (Such as in
 Oakvale....sometimes you'll see nothing but a mixture of a green and
 brown 3D plane that you can walkthrough depending on where it occurs in
 the town) or when the game goes into freezy mode. Freezy mode happens
 when there's too many people and enemies around you that are all trying
 to do something at once. The game will move slowly or keep doing a
 small repeat motion til it works it's way out and you're able to go on
 with things. Dispite all this, I still love the game. It does have
 replay value which is always a plus, and if I ever feel like traveling
 around a medievel world without that whole point and click RPG element
 and where I can dictate myself to be good or evil, I'll be turning to
 this game. So lets move on to why you're looking at my guide.....all
 the things to do and how to beat the game.

- Remember people.....I made this guide on my own time and my own free
 will. That means I deserve the credit for doing so. So if you'd like to

 site watching GameFAQs for when I update it to update it on their sites
 and I won't go out of my way to find all the sites that put this on
 them to update it there as well. So if you want to find up-to-date info
 or see something that I left out the first time around, then head to

1) The Basics

- Alright...it's Fable Boot Camp for you right now. This is where you can
 learn all that you'll need to know to start off with in Fable. When
 you're a boy in training at the Guild, you'll get the hands on training
 that's much more needed than reading this section for the most part,
 but this section will also go into detail about a few other areas that
 you learn on your own.....and I really mean that. The makers of the
 game figure you're smart enough to a figure out a few things by
 yourself! So lets just get right down to it.

B Button - Hold down to Run or when in Melee Combat, press when
          highlighted in fire with an X in it to use a Flourish Attack

Black Button - Arm/Sheathe Ranged Weapon

- Magic -

- Using the D-Pad -

- Alright, if you're going to survive in this game, you have to know how
 to use your Quick Commands. This is done with the D-Pad. The D-Pad
 menu is in the left hand corner of your screen. It should look like
 this:

 With what's available to you given in the four slots depending on the
 situation you're in. For example, when you're running around in
 Bowerstone South, you will run into people like crazy. When you get
 close to one, two expressions will show up on the left and right sides
 of the D-Pad Quick Commands. One being a bad expression and the other
 a good one (Depends on what expressions you've learned what will show
 up, and it is always random) I'll try to do my best here to get in
 every situation that you can use this in. For the most part, you will
 be using the left and right commands. They make your on the fly
 expressions appear whenever you get close enough to a person. Also they
 put up your Health replenishing items on the left and your Magic
 replenshing items on the right when you're getting low on them in your
 meters. The game also dictates what item is best for replenishing your
 health depending on how much is gone in the left side of the D-Pad
 Commands.

 Now the Down Command is one of two things at any time, either
 your Teleportation whenever you're just standing around, or you'll see
 a small hook or shovel head which means you can fish when you're close
 to water, or dig when you're over an area that's meant for digging.
 Usually when it comes to digging, watch the Down Command when you're
 standing in areas that require digging and you'll more than likely find
 an item there. This is great since you can practically dig everywhere
 and you want to know if an item is around or not. Well there you have
 it....watching the bottom Command for a shovel head to appear will tell
 you. Also if a person trusts you enough, the Follow command will appear
 here as well. If you don't see it when you're close to a person, no
 matter how many times you ask them to Follow you manually, they won't.
 Not even if they have fallen in love with you.

 The Up Command takes you to your Quick Menu. You can access Items and
 Expressions while still walking around the world by using this command.
 It is signaled by an Up Arrow in the Up D-Pad slot. This is the only
 command that never turns to anything else, no matter what the situation
 is.

 Holding down the R Trigger brings up the commands that you've
 permanently assigned. To assign commands, go into your menu and then
 goto you Expressions menu. When you go to use a certain Expression, you
 will see four other options under the Use command. This is where you
 pick which direction you want that Expression to be at. When you've
 assigned an Expression, A small D-Pad marker will appear by it's name
 showing that it's assigned to that direction that you picked. This also
 works with your items, but I don't recomend that you put items in this
 since they come up for automatically in the normal slots when you need
 them. Plus you'll want certain Expressions wherever you go, and not
 worry about them being a random thing.



- Combat -

- Now that you know how to use the D-Pad correctly, it's time to get into
 combat. You fight and fight and fight, and then guess what? You fight
 even more in this game, so it's a good idea to have a few skills in
 hand for any given situation.

 *Melee Combat*

 Melee Combat is always open to you. Even though you can sell your
 swords, axes, maces, whatever you have on you, you can't sell a stick
 that you carry around. You can use the stick or your bare hands if you
 want to, but that just makes you look silly and you won't be able to
 kill off opponents really at all. You can do it, just saying that it'll
 take forever to do so. So once you get a real man's weapon, keep it til
 you get a real manlier man's weapon.

 Now fighting Melee style is a very effective means of fighting, but not
 the easiest. You're in close with your enemies and they tend to gang up
 on you, making things hard on you to keep your life and Combat
 Multiplier (read alittle ways down to learn about this) up. So you have
 to learn how to Block and Roll Dodge. To Block, simply hold the Y
 Button down. This will block against enemy melee attacks from the front
 side of you only. Your back is still vulnerable. If another enemy is
 trying to sneak up behind you, hold the Y Button and tap a direction
 and you'll roll away in that direction. Learning to Roll Dodge is a key
 element to staying alive in this game, so learn it well.

 In Melee Combat you are also given unblockable attacks. This is shown
 in the B Button side of the right icons part of the screen. When you've
 worked up an unblockable attack, it will appear as an X surrounded by
 fire in the B Button spot of the right icons. You can use this attack
 anywhere in your combo to get a different looking unblockable attack.
 Use these attacks as much as possible since they are extremely powerful
 and....well....unblockable.

 *Ranged Combat*

 Ranged Combat is a very effective means of killing off enemies, and the
 easiest way to get decapitations too. I find that with Range Combat,
 you can get your Combat Multiplier higher and higher in no time. The
 only thing is charging up shots to fire at enemies. If you just press
 the button to fire at an enemy, the arrow will just fall to ground with
 out going really anywhere, or it will fail to even scratch your enemy.
 So make sure that you hold down the X Button til you feel your
 controller vibrating strongly. If you have a strong enough Bow, you can
 take out opponents in one shot.

 You can zoom in with your Bow by clicking the Left Thumbstick. This
 is the way to decapitating your enemies (your human enemies mind you!
 Any other enemy won't be decapitated unless they're human) You can
 zoom in twice before it puts you back into normal mode. Use this to get
 the jump on your enemies and to get a cool decap while you're at it.

 If you want to do like I do with a Bow and use it for close quarters
 combat. Then you'll have to move around alot. You can't stay stationary
 when you're enemies are close to you. If you hold to the left or the
 right, you can do little hops and keep moving while you target your
 enemies. For the most part, your enemies will stay still and sorta wait
 for you to unsheathe your Melee Weapon, but they won't stay that way
 for long, so take out whoever's close to you quickly.

 *Will Combat*

 Will Combat is the final means of fighting in this game. Using magic
 spells that you learn through the level up at the guild will depend on
 whether you should or shouldn't try using Will for combat. You start
 out with Lightning which is an offensive spell. It is weak in the
 beginning, but so are most of your enemies. If you don't level this up
 though, or gain any other type of offensive spells, then using Will
 won't accomplish much of anything for you. If you are going to be a
 Magical Hero in this game though, then you will be able to go far with
 Will Combat. I'm not a magic user in games like these really, but I
 will say that I did max out the Fireball attack. Using this move
 against opponents is reliable and works much like Ranged Combat style.
 But like I said already, Will Combat just isn't for everyone, and it
 all depends on what spells you have that will determine if you should
 rely on Will to fight.

 *Miscellaneous*

 Getting a decaptitation is just for bragging rights, but it is pretty
 damn cool. You also get to see how many people you've decapitated in
 your game by checking out your Personality in the Main Menu. To
 decapitate in Melee, you must first get opponent dizzy, which isn't
 easy. When they are dizzy though, use a strong attack like a Flourish
 attack, to decapitate them. To decapitate in Ranged, go into your Zoom
 modes and aim for the head when you've held onto the X Button for full
 power. Your controller will shake violently letting you know it's at
 full power.

 Now here's where you get the experience in fighting, the Combat
 Multiplier. This is what gets your to higher levels very quickly. When
 you are fighting and you've landed a hit on your enemy, you will see
 a number appear under your life and mana bars. Keep getting more and
 more hits on your opponent to increase the number, there by multiplying
 your experience by the number shown. You have to be quick though,
 because if you notice there's a small timer around the number. If you
 don't act fast, the numbers will drop. Also if an enemy lands a hit on
 you, that's 5 numbers off of your multiplier, so Block and Dodge while
 you fight.



- Crimes -

- You didn't think that in this game you could get away with terrorizing
 the innocent did you? Sorry to say that in this game you will have to
 pay for your crimes should you commit any. If you're going down the
 path of evil for any reason (like me! A Professional Fable Thief) then
 this will concern you. No one's perfect and you will be caught in the
 act eventually for something.

 Brandishing a Weapon: 40 Gold
 This is a simple enough crime that really isn't a crime. If a guard
 sees you with an unsheathed weapon in your hands, he will chase after
 you. Simple enough, if you are caught holding a weapon, just put it
 away. The guard will see that you want no trouble and that it was just
 a small misconception and he'll walk away without fining you money. But
 if you push it, he'll stop you and make you pay. So just play it cool
 and keep your weapon sheathed while in towns.

 Vandalism: 250 Gold
 Now here's where you need some stealth and luck to get away with crimes
 like this. Break objects in town will result in a vandalism fee, no
 matter what you break. Some objects like barrels and boxes, the
 townspeople won't care if you break them in front of their eyes (some
 do though just to be dirty little snitches and get you in trouble) so
 all you have to do mainly is watch for guards. You can find some useful
 items in barrels and boxes and it's worth it even if you are a good
 samaritan to break them and get freebie items. Now the people will
 start caring if you start breaking down their doors or smashing their
 windows. For the most part, breaking down a door is what will get you,
 but if someone in town was pissing you off, smashing their windows as
 revenge will also do the trick to getting you fined. The key to getting
 away with this is to smash down the door at night and then run away
 before anyone can peg you to the crime. Smashing windows is best done
 during the daytime when no one's home and no one's looking at you. You
 may cause the people that's having the property damage done to to not
 trust you much anymore by doing this. It'll just be temporary though.

 Assault: 500 Gold
 In the beginning of the game, you learn how to target non-hostile
 characters, in short....you learn how to beat the crap outta people.
 Now the thing is with Assault, you want to do this alot in the game. If
 you're already evil, then go nuts on the humble people of the towns. If
 you're trying to be a good little boy, then this is where you may crack
 and join the darkside. The reason I say this is because sometimes you
 meet the occasional asshole villager that just wants to tell you how
 pathetic you are. These villagers are ballsy because there are guards
 all around, and when you hit them, they can run to the guards and tell
 them what you did. There really aren't any ways of getting away with
 this, and the really the only reason to do this is to salvage your
 pride in the game. Beating up the innocent is a quick and sure fire way
 of getting the people of the town to not trust in you. Meaning if you
 need people to follow you somewhere, they'll give you the cold
 shoulder. So be very sparing in your Assaults on people. Sometimes the
 person you hit won't tell anybody and just stay afraid of you. You
 may be able to get away with it if you knock the person out with a
 Flourish attack and then hightail it out of town, but that's just a
 theory I have. I never tried it myself.

 Burglary: 750 Gold
 It's sort of confusing as to how this is different from Stealing at
 first, but that's why I'm here to explain things for you. When you
 burgal from someone, it's by going into their house (makes you wonder
 why they trust you in their home in the first place) and then going
 up to a highlighted item, such as a dresser or bookcase, and then
 pressing the Action Button. This is a great way of getting a ton of
 useful items for free, such as clothes, tattoo cards, and healing
 items. Not to mention that you can find free money as well. It will
 cost you some evil points to do this if you're going down the path of
 rightousness, but some items can only be obtained this way, not to
 mention making your game a whole lot easier. So no matter who you are,
 it'd pay to dabble in this area of expertise. This is an easy enough
 crime to get away with. Enter a person's house whenever you want to
 (best time is during the day) and then press the Action Button whenever
 you're facing an object that can be searched when no one is looking at
 you. You can tell if you're being watched by looking at the Awareness
 Eye at the top of the screen. No one will be the wiser when you snatch
 their belongings. One thing to watch out for is guards. Those noisy
 bastards like to walk in whenever you're in someone's house. If they
 see you in there and you're doing nothing wrong, then they'll leave.
 The trick is to steal some items, and then wait for the guard to enter.
 When he leaves, ransack whatever you haven't searched.

 Trespassing: 250
 This is a crime that normally goes unpunished in video games, and quite
 often in this game as well. Don't think it goes unpunished all the time
 though. For the most part, the only players that will see this crime
 called on them are the Evil Players. The reason I say this is because
 that when you steal at night, people will call you on trespassing
 charges. Well....you won't have to steal, what I mean is, when you go
 TO steal from people's houses at night they'll call that on you. You
 can get away with this if you have the Lock Picking skill. That way,
 you enter the house quietly. But once again you are faced with this
 problem if you are too evil. People judge you on your alignment you
 know....well....your wife looks the other way. In any case, if you're
 evil to a point, people will tell you to get out of their shops or
 homes, before they call guards on you for trespassing. Sucks how they
 can do that huh?

 Stealing: 750 Gold
 Now here's a more obvious and harder crime to pull. First off to Steal,
 you must earn the ability to Steal by leveling up your Guile stat. When
 you enter into shops, you notice all those nice items laying around for
 show in them right? Trying to make you buy their stuff by having
 displays. Well now's your chance to loot those displays. With this
 crime, there's no in between's with it. You either succeed or fail in
 doing it. Failure means a fine and distrust of the person you're trying
 to rip off. Succeed and you get a free item and you get away with it.
 So the best time to loot is at night of course. No one's around and if
 you time things right, the guards won't come around til you've lifted
 a few items.

 Lock Picking: 200 Gold
 Same as Stealing, but with a much smaller fine. You have to work your
 Guile stat up to gain the ability to Lock Pick. Make sure no one's
 watching you when you lock pick, and you'll get away with it. This is
 a much simplier method of getting into places in order to commit more
 serious crimes.

 Murder: 2000 Gold
 The ultimate crime to commit in this game that unlike in Half Life
 where you can kill off your AI friends and no one cares, things are
 much much different here. You will not only pay for your crimes, but
 you will be booted out of the town for it too. Ultimately there is no
 way to get away with murder. I mean yeah you can do it when no one is
 looking and get away with not being fined for it, but somehow the ghost
 of that person tells everyone in town what you did, causing everyone
 not to trust you at all. In fact, you put the fear of god in all people
 by committing murder. At least with the other crimes you commit, the
 people believe in forgive and forget over time, but murder....they
 won't forget it.

- Now that you know the crimes and their fines that can be committed in
 the world of Fable, here's a few tips to staying out of reach from the
 long arm of the law.

 The best tip by far is to not commit the crimes at all! Staying a
 goodie goodie in the game will keep your wallet full and your ass out
 of prison....if they had a place to throw you in that is.

 The best time to commit most crimes is at night. People are either in
 the Pub getting drunk, or at home with the little ones sleeping. Either
 way, the only people walking around at night should be guards and your
 wife should you have one. Keeping an eye out for the guards will keep
 you safe from forking over any cash while committing crimes.

 You can buy out the guards if you want to play things safe, but they
 don't come cheap you know. You have to pay each guard that you see
 1,000 Gold in order to look the other way to your little crime spree.
 They will stand in the place you pay them and start whistling a happy
 tune. If they don't see it they don't write it up. Of course they don't
 stay this way forever, so get what you want done and do it quickly.
 Also, you don't buy out all guards in the town for 1,000 Gold, just the
 one you talked to. You still have to keep an eye out for any other
 guard that may stray away from his posted area.

 Believe it or not, wearing certain clothes will also help to conceal
 you while you commit your crimes. The best to wear is the Assassin Suit
 since it is dark and made for stealth. The guards will take a little
 longer to bust your ass while you wear these clothes, or you can
 breathe easier while sneaking around in people's homes to commit a few
 murders or burglaries.

 Holding down the Left Thumbstick will send yourself into a quiet tip
 toe walk. Use this whenever you Lock Pick into a house at night, so
 that you are polite enough to not wake your victims while you loot all
 their belongings....or getting your sword ready to slice and dice them
 in their own bed.

 If you're gonna commit crimes, do it with no one looking! No one likes
 a snitch, and everyone in this game is a snitch when it comes to crime.

 If you are seen by someone and they tell the guards, always keep a
 good amount of money to pay off the misdeed. You really don't want to
 fight the guards in a town. They can be killed off yeah, but there's
 an infinite amount of them that come after you. If you're trying to be
 a good guy that just strayed off the path of rightousness for a moment,
 you will gain tremendous evil points for murdering guards, not to
 mention increasing your fine!

 If you are seen by someone, you do have one option to keep them quiet.
 Kill the bastard! They can't report anything if they're dead. This in
 itself is very evil to do, and if you do it in front of more witnesses,
 you're gonna have one hell of a time trying to keep things underwrap.
 But always remember that this is an option that is open to you,
 especially all you evil people out there.

 Another tip for getting a free ride off your crime if it is reported,
 is to run away. If you can make it to the exit of the town, or just be
 lazy and use your teleportation to get away. Either way, as long as
 you're not in the town you will be fine. Whenever you goto the Menu
 to choose where you want to teleport to, you will see a thing in the
 stats part of the town where you commited your crime spree that says,
 Time Until Fines are Forgiven. Whatever time is left in that is
 how long you have to wait til you can roam the streets of the that town
 again freely.



- Making and Saving Money -

- Lets face it, money always makes the world go round in both real life
 and in video game worlds, and the realm of Fable is no exception. You
 need money for weapons, clothes, items, fines, gambling, lots of stuff
 in this game. So here's a section I just thought of and knew all of you
 would need it. I mean I've come with plenty of times that I needed
 that right amount of money to get that one item, so here's where you
 can learn to save money where needed and to make money as well in a few
 easy to learn tips.


 The first tip is to wait before you actually consider buying that
 weapon or clothing that you think you need. Why I say this is because
 during your quest, you can more than likely find what you wanted to buy
 for free in treasure chests or by stealing. Granted you won't find
 everything that you want immedeately, but you will find it. This is a
 matter of if you want to pay for what you want now or if you're able to
 wait for later.

 If you're going down the path of evil, then stealing is by far the only
 way to go in this game. Trust me, I already played and beat the game
 and I went down the path of the darkside because I knew I wanted to be
 thief over everything else. By stealing from shops and homes I found
 plenty of free clothes and items that I know the original owners won't
 need anytime soon. I ended up saving tons of money by doing this.

 Even though it's a naughty thing to do, who cares! Smash open all
 barrels and boxes and anything else that looks breakable that may hold
 an item. You can find many many many items and sometimes free cash by
 breaking things open. Do this no matter what path you're going down,
 good or evil. You want free items that can save you in the pinch of
 battle. You'll mainly find healing or mana replenishing items for the
 most part, but you will come across gifts to give people, tattoo and
 hairstyle cards, and even some money to put in your pocket. So let your
 violent side show by breaking a few barrels....just think of taking
 your revenge on Donkey Kong from the old days.

 As stated above, you will find alot of items by stealing and breaking
 things, but there is also one other way of doing so. That is by
 fighting and defeating enemies or murdering the occasional innocent
 bystander. This is one RPG game that you won't get extra rewards from
 killing everything that moves alongside your experience. But you do
 get the extra perks of a kill every now and then, so if you want to
 spend some time gathering exp. for yourself, then this is a viable way
 to gathering money and items.

 One great way of getting money in any kind of RPG game, is selling
 stuff, especially the free stuff you pick up and don't need. During
 this game, you will find stronger weapons and better clothes to use
 as you progress through the game. So why hang on to what you don't need
 huh? Sell what you don't need or want to help raise your fianances.

 Now there is a way of selling to vendors and making a small profit.
 When you're talking with someone that sells items, weapons, anything
 really, you can choose to sell items you currently own. When the Sell
 Menu comes up you can see an option called Wanted. This is what that
 particular vendor wants to have at that moment in time. If you have
 the item or items that he wants and are willing to part with them, you
 can make a profit from it than you normally would selling those
 particular items to anyone else. I'm not a 100% sure on this or not,
 but also raising your Guile should help you to sell items even higher.

 Go out of your way to do side quests and figuring out where Silver Keys
 are to open the Silver Chests, and opening the Demon Doors. They all
 contain items that you can use and basically not worry about having to
 buy weapons or clothes. I mean, if you have Legendary Weapons or
 Top Class Clothes, then why bother downgrading to mediocre weapons and
 clothes?

 Level up the Guile stat! Yes it basically is for people that want to
 go down the path of evil since it helps out stealth for stealing and
 gives you the abilities of Steal and Lock Pick, but it also helps you
 to be able to barter with merchants to get low prices on items. This
 also helps you to sell higher for what you would buy the item. So if
 you're selling freebie items for higher than you would buy them, it
 doesn't take much common sense to tell that you're a true businessman.
 Plus the fact that you get items for cheaper is of great importance as
 well.

 As you know, you can buy houses in towns in order to get a wife. But
 while you're single, you can rent out the house to invisible ghost
 people. Seriously though, this is a waste of time in my book, but it
 is a way to get in some chump change. Hey....3 gold in your pocket is
 better than none at all. You collect rent, after a full Fable day's
 period of time, by entering back into the town. It will automatically
 give you the rent from your home as you enter town.

 Now.....this option is open for those that are being evil. If you're
 playing a good guy for this game, then skip this tip as an option for
 you to use. This works like the tip above, except you can own an entire
 town. To do this, you have to kill the people that live in those homes.
 The best time to do this is to enter people's houses at night, while
 they're in bed. Break in and murder all the occupants of the home. Then
 a sign will show up outside of their home much like your original home.
 Buy the house and rent it out. Do this with every house in the town and
 now you've monopolized a section of Albion. You can also buy the Shops
 in town since you killed off the shopkeepers while you were at it.
 You get even bigger discounts if you own the shop from the shopkeeper.
 If you find that you don't like the amount of rent you're pulling in,
 you can sell off everything you own for the same amount that you bought
 it. That means that you never lose any money by dabbling in the real
 estate business.

 One of the more obvious ways to getting in huge chunks of money is by
 taking on a Quest. You'll get a nice amount of money for completing the
 basic quest, but you can get more money if you take on boasts. Boasting
 is a way to rake in the money off of your quests, and to get some heavy
 renown for pulling it off. To boast, when you're choosing your Quest,
 you have the option of taking the quest and boast. Choose this and
 you'll be teleported outside the Guild onto a platform surrounded by
 people that are cheering you on and waiting for your boast or boasts.
 You can take on more than one boast to pull in more money. Each Quest
 contains the same boasts that you can choose, such as No Protection.
 Sometimes Quests come with Good and Evil boasts. This can help you to
 boost your meter depending on which direction you're going, plus since
 these boasts don't appear very often, they usually have more money to
 be earned than the boasts that always appear, so if you have the
 confindence to pull these off, you can pull in some major money. The
 only other boasts that appear are the Quest specific boasts. That means
 that these boasts will only appear for that Quest only. Sometimes these
 boasts are the biggest money makers that you can find, but every now
 and then you'll find a good or evil boast to be more rewarding. Either
 way, taking on boasts will get you major cash in your pocket that you
 will need to get those all important weapons.......or....to keep the
 little woman at home happy.

 *Gambling*

 Gambling is apart of this world as well, and if you're good at the
 game you're playing, you can rake in the money. The easiest game in my
 opinion to play is the Memory Card Game located in Bowerstone South at
 the Pub. Here's the games you can find all over Albion and their
 descriptions:


 Bowerstone South Tavern - Memory Card Game

 The easiest game to play in my opinion since it doesn't require much
 skill at it. You have four rows of four cards in each, making 16 cards
 in total. You have to make 8 pairs in under the given time limit. This
 is easy if you do things right. First you must know that you don't
 match by suit, just by the number or royal character that's shown. For
 example if you find the King of Spades, and then come across the King
 of Hearts, then there's your match. They're both Kings. This works with
 all given numbers. I've never found two of the same kind, such as two
 Ace of Clubs in one round. If you wager the maximum amount in this game
 which is 1000 Gold, you can gather up a very impressive amount in no
 time once you get a groove going. The way to win at this game quickly
 is to do this:

 Here are your cards all face down. When you start, the timer won't
 start on you until you flip over your first card. Get the cursor over
 a corner card and flip it. Then move to the card directly to the left
 or right, which ever corner you chose will dictate that, and flip it.
 More than likely you'll miss getting a pair and they'll flip over.

 This shows an example of what to do to start with. If you get a pair by
 flipping these two or don't, just remember what you flipped here and
 then move on to the next two, still going horizontal.

 Now the final card you flipped should of been in the corner, so just
 move downward and flip the next card, moving to the left or right
 again.

 By doing this same motion of going left to right, then down and going
 horizontal in the next row, you'll sweep the cards and you should start
 seeing a pair or two by the first two rows. Uncover pairs when you find
 them and then resume where you left off, til you can just jump around
 uncovering remaining pairs. If you are quick at this, you can get this
 done in under 20 seconds and keep on pulling in money to use. Again, I
 got most of my money in the game by playing this game. Also since the
 Pubs are open 24/7 you can come here whenever you want to gain money.


 Oakvale Tavern - Coin Golf

 Alright, you have 13 strokes to use on 4 holes. This game is simple,
 but frustrating. You have to use the Left Thumbstick and the A Button.
 The A button is optional for use, but it makes things easier. You
 can't really make a true cash flow from this game. It's not that it's
 impossible to do, it's just that it's real easy to lose at this game.
 You can lose this game by taking one too many shots, or by hitting the
 coin too hard and knocking it off the table. The only reason you should
 play this game is for the Whisper Doll prize. This comes in handy for
 a quest later in the game. My recommendation is to just bet 1 Gold on
 every game you play at this. If you're actually good at this game, then
 by all means, don't let me stop you from betting 1,000 Gold.

 *Hole 1*
 The first shot you should make you should aim alittle to the left to
 see a wine glass. You need to bank the shot off the wine glass to go
 behind the pithcher (whatever it is) that's to the right of the wine
 glass. When you do this, you should see the circle that you have to get
 the coin in. If you set the power just right, you can get it in the
 circle and win this hole in just two shots.

 *Hole 2*
 Here's another hole you can get in just two shots. If you bank the shot
 off the mug to the right of the pitcher to bounce somewhat behind the
 pitcher, then you should have an opne shot to the circle. Just put the
 right amount of power needed behind the second shot and you should have
 it. Hey, even I can't tell you how much power to put behind the shots
 since it all depends on where it lands.

 *Hole 3*
 Ok....here's where things get just a tiny bit trickier....that is if
 you're not doing this without this guide! You should see a wine glass
 on the far leftside of the table. Aim at this first. You can bank it
 if you want or just get the coin to rest near the glass, but just get
 it to the glass. When you do, you should be able to get a view of the
 circle to get it in or close to it.

 *Hole 4*
 Alright, this hole I've only been able to do it in three shots minimum.
 The first shot is at the wine glass to the right of your start
 position. Then you should see an opening between a glass and a pitcher,
 getting close towards the end of the table. Don't bank this shot, just
 get it to rest against the glass. When you do, the circle will be in
 plain sight.


 Knothole Glade - Card Sorting Game

 Ok....here's a very annoying game that you can be good at, if you
 didn't slip up so damn much in it and make mistakes. The timer on this
 is also small for the type of game it is. You have to search out the
 lowest numbered card and then work your way up to the highest. Now in
 this game you think an Ace is the highest, but nope. It's the lowest
 card you can find. The scale basically goes like this from lowest to
 highest:

           A - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - J - Q - K

 Now you have seven rounds to go through, and you have to be very quick,
 because you're going to need all the time you can muster on the last
 two rounds. Using the Left Thumbstick is how you navigate the cursor
 around over the cards. If you let the Left Thumbstick go from the
 direction you're holding it to, the cursor will automatically snap back
 to the middle of the cards, so keep that in mind and watch when you
 press the A Button. It looks like this from round to round:

 So you can see where your time is a factor while trying to go from the
 low card to the high card from round to round. Again, the only reason
 why you should play this game is for the bonus item you get for winning
 the first game, a Scarlet Robe Hero Doll. Just bet 1 Gold and win this
 for a special quest in the game. Now some people out there can get real
 good at this game, and if you're one of them then bet 1,000 Gold and
 build up your money empire with this game. All I can say is that this
 game was not for me.


 Twinblade's Camp - Spot the Addition

 Alright people, this is the first gambling game that I can't truely
 spell out to you how to beat it. It's a basic memory game with a timer
 that you have to watch out for. You will be given a few items per round
 that will then be covered up and shown again, except with a new item
 in the mix. Your job is to find the extra item added. As you progress
 through each round, more items are added that you'll have to remember
 and then hunt out the extra item added. This is one game that you're
 guaranteed to screw up on more than once before you actually get a win
 at it. So once again, bet only 1 Gold and try to win at it just for the
 Twinblade Hero Doll so you can complete the Teacher's Doll Quest later
 in the game. I don't know anybody that's actually good at this game,
 but there may be a few of you out there that can bet 1,000 Gold at a
 time and win.


 Hook Coast - Shove Ha'Penny

 This is actually a fun little mini-game that I'm pretty much even at
 wins and losses in this game. I do bet 1,000 Gold at it, but it's only
 because I got better and better at it. When you start off at it, only
 bet 1 Gold to get the Maze Doll and to get the hang off the game. It
 uses the same power system that Coin Golf uses, so if you got some
 skills playing that game, then you'll do fine at this game. You can
 move the coin left to right to position the coin for a shot. Try aiming
 for the middle to get the 50 Points and the win with 2 shots. You can
 bump your coins into higher point areas with other coins, are screw
 yourself over by doing that too. The trick to winning at this game
 is to not put the full power behind the coin and figure out where in
 the middle of powering up the coin is where it will put it on 50 Points
 for you. Once you've got a groove going with this game, start betting
 higher and start bringing in a cash flow.


 Darkwood Camp - Blackjack

 This is where you'll find your first area to play blackjack in. Now
 alot of people already know how to play blackjack, so there's no reason
 to explain how to play it. Just get 21 or close to 21 without going
 over 21 and pray that the dealer screws up. Course, after the games I
 played against the dealer, I wish I could run into people like that.
 I mean the guy plays the game like a retard. I remember two games that
 I only had like 14 or 15 and the computer already had me beat at 16,
 and it kept drawing cards, causing itself to go over 21, giving me the
 win. Gotta say.....I liked the free little amount of money I raked in,
 but I wasn't going to push it with this game. This game to me is your
 own choice to play at your own risk. You may get an idiot dealer like
 me, or you may get one that will whip you every time.


 *Fist Fighting Prize Money*

 Yet another way to make money is to win at the local area fist fighter
 arenas. The only time you can fight is at night and you can only fight
 once per night. Make sure to win now! Most opponents you fight are very
 easy, with the exception of the area's leader. You get bonuses for
 passing a fight without taking any damage what so ever. That means
 block and dodge attacks, then give them a barrage of punches. A cheap
 way of getting in some free punches is to take the fight outside of the
 ring. You're not suppose to, but you only lose if you stay out for 10
 seconds, which will be shown by a small timer that appears. Just roll
 back into the ring to stop the timer, and then quickly roll out back
 to your opponent. You can also build up your Flourish Attack which
 comes in very handy for fighting the leaders since they block the most.
 Plus you knock your opponent down, giving you a few seconds to breathe
 and gather up a more effective strategy against the poor fool. If you
 win at all the arenas in Albion you'll get the Fist Fighter's Trophy,
 which means it's something to sell or use for Renown. The places to
 fight are:

 Bowerstone South Port
 Oakvale
 Twinblade's Camp
 Knothole Glade

 You have to beat each leader in the order shown from top to bottom to
 be able to fight at each place. That means you start at Bowerstone
 South Port and then move on to Oakvale, ultimately ending up at
 Knothole Glade to end your Fist Fighter's Quest. You can always fight
 at any of the Fist Fighter's Arenas even if you won the trophy, so if
 you're a good fighter, then here's where you can earn some change for
 yourself. Word of caution though, the leader's always get stronger,
 harder, and take longer to defeat as you progress through each Fight
 Club. But the money becomes more and more as you access new Fight Clubs
 to participate in, so just remember to Block, Dodge, and keep a high
 offensive in your matches. That's the key to winning in my book. Spend
 your time barraging your opponent with continuous punches til you have
 to stop to get into the ring. I know that you'll punch them more than
 enough that you'll end up outside the ring. If they keep blocking, then
 you'll work up your Flourish Attack soon enough to use on them and
 teach them that blocking won't save their ass.


- Using the Menu -

- A big part of the game is spent in your Inventory Menu. You access this
 menu by pressing the Back Button. Here you can manually select items
 that you specifically want to use, use expressions that aren't coming
 up randomly or in your Quick D-Pad Menu, view various info about your
 game thus far, check on Quests and your progress on them, etc etc etc,
 you get the idea. Here's where I'll explain it all and it's pratical
 uses for each thing in the Inventory Menu.


 *Selecting Items*

 Alright, when you start out your game and you've picked up a few items
 and weapons, you'll want to use them. Mainly items at first. Now there
 is no clear path that says items from the Main Inventory Menu, but
 there is Equipment. That is where you will find the place to browse
 your Items, Weapons, and Clothes. When you need to change clothes in
 order to pimp the ladies in town, or to get your weapons in check, then
 this is where you need to head to.

 When you select Clothes, you will then be given a set of new commands.
 These commands are all aspects of your clothes. The cursor starts you
 off though on top of the Suit command. This command puts on an entire
 suit of what you own. If you don't own all items of a suit, then your
 character will only wear what you do own of that suit. You'll know what
 you own of what suit when you go into this menu and see the clothes on
 your character. This is a very useful command when you're entering and
 exiting towns. I'd put on my Bright Will User's Suit when I enter towns
 and my Assassin Suit when I left towns. If you want to make your own
 customized suit, then go through each option from Head to Feet, and
 equip whatever it is that you want. You do have many many choices to
 making your own suit by doing this, though sometimes it may look a
 little goofy. I guess to each their own.....

 Selecting the Weapons command will bring up two choices, Melee Weapons
 and Ranged Weapons. You come to these choices in order to view the
 weapons that you currently have in your possession, to equip new
 weapons for future use, and to augment them with special power. Learn
 more about Augmenting weapons in the Weaponary Chapter of this guide.

 Now, selecting the Items command will bring up a few categories for you
 to browse through. From top to bottom the categories are:

 Trophies
 Potions
 Gifts
 Produce
 Other

 To get Trophies and look at them, you must complete Quests. This is the
 only way to get a trophy or two. Trophies are only good for so much in
 this game. The main thing they're good for is to earn you some Renown
 and to impress the ladies for marriage.......or men....if you're that
 way.

 The Potions menu will be very small to say the least. For the most part
 you will only find two types of potions here, which are Health
 and Mana Replenishing potions. Now you will pick up special potions as
 you explore Albion. These potions can be accessed in this menu.

 Gifts are just as it says, gifts. These are what are needed to get on
 the good side of the women......and a few men.....of Albion. Who you
 give them to and what item it is that you give up is totally up to you.

 Produce is where the majority of your Health replenishing items will
 be at. You can also find some other useful items in here such as items
 that will add to your Evil or Good meter. You can also find your items
 that you can use to sell to various vendors around Albion.

 The Other section is where you go to look at items that are made to be
 used at barbers or tattoo vendors. It also holds other miscellaneous
 items you may come across, such as the Treasure Clues or your Shovel.
 If you can't find your item that you just picked up anywhere else, then
 it's stashed away here.


 *Using Skills*

 One of the other options to choose from here in the Inventory Menu is
 the Skills option. This takes you to where you can set or use your
 Expressions or Magic.

 Expressions are earned as you progress through the game and do various
 acts. Depending on what acts you do is what will determine the
 Expressions you learn. The only Expressions that are learned slowly
 over time no matter what you do are the three Love Expressions. These
 three are the Flirt, Manly Arm Pump, and the Sexy Hero Pose. Another
 two that you learn no matter what are the Follow and Wait Commands.
 The three Love Expressions come up automatically when you're looking
 at a woman (or man if that's your preference....) in the D-Pad Quick
 Use Menu at the bottom left hand side of the screen, so no need to
 come in and set them to the Extra D-Pad Menu. Same with the Follow and
 Wait Commands, they appear in the D-Pad Menu as well. What you want to
 set in the Quick Commands D-Pad Menu are Expressions like, the Burp
 and Fart. When you learn more Expressions, set the to the D-Pad the way
 you want it set. This way you will be able to do a certain Expression
 on the fly when you need it, instead of hoping for it to randomly show
 up on the D-Pad.

 By selecting the Magic option, you can now check out the spells that
 you have learned through experience. You can also set your spells here
 as well. When you hold down the R Trigger, you notice that you have to
 cycle through sets of spells in order to use them. Well if you don't
 like the way a certain set is setup, then here's where you can change
 that line-up, so that you can have optimal magic at your disposal.


 *Bringing Up the Map*

 You do have a map of Albion that you can check over in the Inventory
 Menu. Use this to find locations of places that you need to get to, or
 to check out details of areas that you have already visited. You can
 use the map in two ways. The first way is the Region Scroll way. This
 is what it is always set to whenever you access the map. The Region
 Scroll goes by a list of all the places you've been to, and keeps them
 in order. The magnifying glass automatically moves to the area that you
 are selecting. If you want to manually move the magnifying glass
 yourself, then press the Y Button and enter into Map Scroll mode. You
 now control the magnifying glass and have a much better understanding
 of the paths you can take and what links to what in Albion. If you
 press the A Button, you will get a Zoomed Map of the area you accessed
 and details of that area. Hit the B Button to back out of all this and
 return to the Inventory Menu.

 Check out Wolfiesden's World Map Image located in the In-Depth FAQs
 section for a nice overview of Albion and all that you will traverse
 upon. This is at GameFAQs and it's the only place I've seen it at at
 this point in time.


 *Watching Over Quests*

 Simple enough to explain, this is where you go to check which Quests
 you currently are taking on, and which Quests you have completed during
 your journey. It is marked off by two separate options to chose from,
 Current Quests and Past Quests. Usually Optional Open-Ended Quests that
 are marked in orange are always on the Current Quests option.
 Every other Quest that is marked in yellow or silver will be placed in
 the Past Quests option upon completion.


 *Your Logbook*

 This is where you go to check up on various things located all over
 Albion that you have come across. From Items that you've found, to the
 very journey you're taking, it's all here. If you ever need to learn
 about anything in particular, then look into your Logbook and start
 reading up on a few things in order to clear up those questions you
 have.

 *Objects*
 The first and top option to chose from is the Objects option. This is
 where you go to find out information on Items that you've encountered
 on your journey around Albion. If you find that you don't know what you
 have in your hands and it's uses, then check out the Objects section
 of your Logbook and read up on it.

 *Towns*
 The next option is the Towns option. This isn't information about Towns
 and what the town is all about. Rather is about what you need to watch
 out for or what you need to learn about what you've already done in
 various towns. For example, you can learn about the crimes you've
 commited here, or learn alittle about Love and Marriage. It's all about
 learning what you can do in the towns, remember that if you ever need
 to bone up on a few odds and ends in the towns of Albion.

 *Basics*
 The next option that you have access to is the Basics option. If you
 ever forget the controls of the game, or you didn't read about them in
 the Instruction Manual or in this guide of mine, then here's where you
 can remember or finally learn those controls that will get you by alive
 in the game.

 *Story*
 Ok....this is where your story is recorded and the actions you've taken
 during your whole adventure in Albion. I will write down my story that
 I took in this game to show you how it goes. Remember that the actions
 you take and the decisions you make will cause your story to look
 different from mine! Also if you feel that reading my story is a
 spoiler for you, then please scroll down away from this.


 Theresa's Birthday
 It's Theresa's birthday today and I haven't got her a present. Father
 says he'll give me the money to buy one if I perform good deeds around
 town. There might be another way though.

 The Sacking of Oakvale
 Bandits have attacked Oakvale. The whole place is in flames. There are
 bodies everywhere. I've got to find Theresa and my parents.

 The Guild of Heroes
 Everything's happening too quickly. My home is gone, my family is dead,
 and now a man called Maze has brought me to this place, the Guild of
 Heroes. Why can't everything be as it was before?

 The Way of the Hero
 The Guild has been my home for some years now, and Whisper and the
 Guildmaster have been my new family. Training is getting harder all the
 time, yet somehow it feels right, like it's always been in my blood.
 I'm not allowed out of the Guild though, and I rarely ever see Maze. I
 often wonder what's happening beyond these walls.

 Graduation Day
 After so many years of preparation, I have finally completed my
 training. There's a whole world out there waiting to be explored. Maybe
 now I can find out what happened to my family too.

 First Quest
 I have now completed my first quest and got my first trophy too. The
 Guildmaster says that Maze wants to meet me at a tavern at Bowerstone.
 Probably wants to congratulate me.

 Theresa Still Alive?
 Maze told me he believes Theresa may have survived the raid all those
 years ago. He will let me know if he finds out more.

 The Raid on Orchard Farm
 I joined a group of Bandits in their assault on Orchard Farm. We stole
 some mysterious objects that the farmers had unearthed for someone
 called Lady Grey. Whisper was defending the farm, but I managed to
 defeat her.

 The Road Back to Oakvale
 I brought some Traders to Barrow Fields. Theresa and I used to play
 here, and it's where I last saw her. Maze wants to see me in Oakvale. I
 wonder if he has any news.

 Home Again
 I can't believe I'm back home. So much has changed. The people, the
 houses... I wonder if our house is still here.

 Visit the Seeress
 Maze hasn't been able to find out any more about Theresa, but he
 suggested that I go talk to the Blind Seeress who lives among
 Twinblade's bandits. I'll have to find the camp first.

 Theresa and Twinblade
 Theresa is alive. She had a dreadful story to tell; how she was blinded
 in the raid and ended up living among Twinblade's Bandit clan. Somehow
 her blindness has granted her the ability to see into the future, but
 her mind has suffered terribly and it is hard to make sense of what she
 says. She spoke of mother and of a grave choice I must make some day.
 Then something happened. A burst of energy unlocked an untapped power
 within me. Now I must meet Maze in his Guild quarters.

 An Old Friend
 Maze wants me to find an old friend of his, known only as the
 Archaeologist. He should be somewhere in Witchwood, which I can now
 reach through a Cullis Gate. Maze also mentioned that I should consider
 fighting in the Arena soon. All the best heroes compete there.

 The Archaeologist
 I found the Archaeologist hiding in a cave. He knows more about the Old
 Kingdom than anybody, and it seems there are people desperate for this
 knowledge. He suggested that I'm connected to whatever is happening in
 Albion right now, and to those strange objects unearthed at Orchard
 Farm. He was a friend of mother's long ago, and said I may be able to
 find out about her in the Arena. I will need a nomination from the
 Knothole Glade Chief first.

 A Letter from Theresa
 Theresa passed through here not too long ago and left a letter for me,
 along with a book that explains our connection to a weapon of great
 power, the Sword of Aeons.

 The White Balverine
 I have slain the White Balverine that has been stalking Knothole Glade.
 In return, I have received a nomination to enter the Arena. This will
 be the greatest test of my powers yet. And I may be able to find
 information about Mother there.

 The Arena Champion
 I have emerged victorious from the Arena. The final round pitted me
 against Whisper. I think I heard her brother shouting out from the
 crowds as I spilt her blood.

 Scarlet Robe
 I found my mother's statue in the Hall of Heroes. She was known as
 Scarlet Robe, a fierce slayer of Balverines. Jack of Blades spoke to me
 as I stood there. He said that she's alive and living in solitude. If I
 were to bring Theresa to him, he would take us to see her. It is
 clearly a trick, but he does know something. He awarded me the
 Champion's Seal, which will allow me to enter Bowerstone North.

 Theresa at the Grey House
 Theresa has found out where mother is. She's being kept in Bargate
 Prison by Jack. It was he who blinded my sister so long ago, he who
 raided our home. It's impossible to gain entrance to the prison through
 the main gate, but the Archaeologist knows of a secret way in. Theresa
 has left a Quest Card at the Guild with the details. She also mentioned
 that mother will be able to unlock an untapped power within me.

 The Chase
 I battled against some strange creatures that had captured the
 Archaeologist. When I freed him, he told me of a secret way into
 Bargate Prison in Lychfield Graveyard. It hasn't been opened in
 centuries.

 The Lychfield Passage
 I have found the way into Bargate Prison. It feels more like a descent
 into the netherworld after passing through that realm of the dead.

 Captured
 Jack of Blades was waiting for me all along, and now he has us both.
 Mother has been through decades of torture, and now Jack has a new
 means to persuade her to tell him what he wants: me. I have to find a
 way out of here.

 Freedom
 We have finally escaped at last, but Jack knows where to find the key
 that will unlock the Sword of Aeons. I have to get to Hook Coast before
 he discovers how to retrieve it, and the Darkwood portal is the only
 way to get there. Mother has gone to find Theresa. Before she left, she
 released a great dormant power within me. I have never felt stronger.

 Gateway to Hook Coast
 After feeding it the souls of undead warriors, the ancient Cullis Gate
 has been reactivated. Hook Coast awaits on the other side.

 Hook Coast Abbey
 A magical barrier is blocking the way to the Abbey, and the locals
 speak of a mysterious figure haunting the place. It can only be Jack.
 Mother has told me to meet her in Maze's quarters. She has found
 something there.

 The Journal
 There was no trace of mother here. I have found a book of Ancient Hook
 Coast magics that may help to dispel the barrier. I don't know what it
 was doing in Maze's quarters, but I can't read the language it's
 written in anyway. Perhaps the Guildmaster could translate it?

 The Betrayal
 Maze betrayed me, the old fool. He was part of the raid on my home
 before having second thoughts and saving me. He knew even then who I
 was, and believed I would one day be able to stop Jack. Then his belief
 waivered and he joined Jack once more. He performed the ritual to
 retrieve the Key, and now Jack is using it to activate the Focus Sites
 around Albion, which will unlock the Sword. I must return to the Guild
 immediately.

 The Focus Sites
 Jack has activated all the Sites. Not even the Guild and all its heroes
 could stop him. And now Albion is in chaos. Old Kingdom beasts are
 appearing everywhere, and the air itself seems charged with dark
 energies. Jack has taken the Mother into the Chamber of Fate, where the
 Sword of Aeons will be waiting for him. I have to get there now.

 The Sword of Aeons
 I have killed Jack of Blades, and now the Sword of Aeons is mine. I
 have fed it Theresa's blood. Nothing in Albion can stop me.


 As you can tell by the story above, I played an evil path. What can I
 say? I love to steal. Stealing is evil and so that's how I ended up
 doing alot of bad things in Albion to save my thieving ass. How your
 story will end up and the things said in it, is based upon how you play
 your game.
