Salutations! This is a guide to find where all the implement weapons and armor
are located. Entries are ordered alphabetically by equipment name.
Each entry contains the following information:
-Name of the equipment
-Implement it can be found in
-Equipment type
-Stats of equipment
-Effects of equipment
-Which floor it can be found on
-What NM or HNM drops the equipment
So far, this is all information you can get from the implement list. This
guide, however, contains additionally:
-What section of the floor the NM or HNM can be found
-The quickest way to get to the NM or HNM
-The level of the NM or HNM on a first playthrough
NOTE: The equipment has to be implemented in order for it to show up as a
drop on the monster (in the case of the NMs) or for the monster to even
appear (in the case of the HNMs). When you begin working on the implement, you
will automatically be equipped with that piece of equipment for the duration
of the Hollow Mission. Once you have met the requirements, you will no longer
have access to the equipment until you go out and get it yourself. Implemented
means you have met the requirements of the implement and have spent Hollow
Points to implement it.
I hope this information will serve you well.

| TIPS [IELG2] |
--------------
-Take Asuna with you when farming these pieces of equipment. She has a
teleport crystal that replenishes everytime you go to a floor's town.
-If you defeat an NM and the equipment doesn't drop, teleport away, go
back to Arc Sophia (meaning the part where you can walk around town), then
return to the floor where the NM is and it will respawn. If you
are seeking more than one piece of equipment at a time, each time you go to a
different floor and enter one of its areas, the NM of the previous floor
you visited will respawn. The NM *WILL NOT* respawn if you simply go
to a different floor's town screen (where you can shop, teleport, go to a
different floor, etc.). You must enter an area of that floor first for the NM
to respawn.
-If you defeat an HNM and the equipment doesn't drop, simply zone to the
nearest area and return to where the HNM is. It will respawn immediately.
A NOTE ABOUT THE HNMS: Whereas the NMs are already around, the HNMs do not
appear until you have spent Hollow Points and implemented the equipment.
I have read that the HNMs have the capability of permantently killing any
of the NPC adventurers traveling in that area. I haven't tested this for
myself, but it's better to be safe than sorry. The positve side is the
HNM does not spawn unless you enter the area where it spawns, so it won't
kill an NPC when you're not around. If the implement equipment is guarded
by an HNM, make sure you are strong enough to take that HNM on before you
spend the points to implement that equipment.
------------------------------
| INCREASING DROP RATE [IELG3] |
------------------------------
Without additonal help, the chances the NM or HNM will drop the piece of
equipment is very low. You will need the patience of Job to get one
to drop. There is good news and bad news about this. The good news is there
are ways to increase the drop rate. The bad news is it will take some work
to make this happen. The best way to increase the drop rate is through
weapons. Specifically, you'll want swords since Kirito can equip two.
The best way to get these weapons is in the Hollow Area, althought there is a
time consuming method to get a drop rate weapon without the Hollow Area.
NOTE: As I understand it, one point of Drop Rate is 1%. So a weapon with
Drop Rate+20 will increase the drop rate of items by 20%. If you have two
swords like this, the drop rate will increase by 40%.
***FIRST METHOD***
Forge a drop rate weapon. This method is the simplest, though it will be very
time consuming. The upside to this method, however, is it doesn't require you
to clear any of the Hollow Area first. If this doesn't matter to you, I
suggest doing the other two methods instead.
As you go through the floors of the Tower, you will come across areas with
gathering points (glowing spots on the ground). Some of the materials that
can be gathered from these glowing spots can be used to make a drop rate
weapon.
The problem is that these glowing spots will dry up after being gathered a
random number of times. They won't replenish again until midnight (0:00).
Fortunately, there are multiple floors where gathering spots can yield
materials to make a drop rate weapon. Also, there are some mobs that can
drop materials that can be used to make a drop rate weapon. Remember that
you can have up to 198 of each material (99 in your inventory, 99 in your
storage).
These are the materials that you can forge drop rate weapons with:
Rare Mushroom, Discarded Crown, Cracked Gem, Influential Jewel,
Decorative Stone, Harpy Egg
This is the path I like to take:
1) Travel to Floor 77 and select Serenity Trail. Go South to a fork and West
to the end. The tree in front of you is a gathering point. Go South and
the next gathering point is just past the glowing pillar. Continue South
and go East at the fork. The first tree on the right side is the final
gathering point. Rare Mushrooms are frequently gathered at these spots.
2) Travel to Floor 82 and select Tower of the Intersecting Jewels. Backtrack
Corridor Pass to the Verge 2 and follow the path to the first large room.
Kill the Goblin King for a Decorative Crown.
3) Go back to Tower of the Intersecting Jewels. Travel East and take the
Southeast trail. Stay on the trail rather than taking the South trail.
Go to the corner where the jewel plant is for the first gathering spot.
Backtrack and take the South trail now and follow it to the bottom. The
other two gathering spots are on each side of the smaller crystal.
Cracked Gems and Influential Jewels can be found here, but the yields are
usually low.
4) Travel to Floor 83 and select Labyrinth 1F. Backtrack to Settlement of the
Shrewd Beasts 2 and another Goblin King will be right there.
5) Travel to Floor 86 and select Battleground of Rufescent Regret. On either
side of the rock jutting out of the ground in front of you are two craters.
Each crater has gathering points. The third gathering point is Northwest of
the right gathering point. Decorative Stones are rarely gathered here.
NOTE: If you are planning on getting the platinum trophy in one playthrough,
do not go any further than this before completely clearing the Hollow
Area. Travel back and forth between the two Goblin Kings until it is
midnight (O:OO) and repeat the gathering process.
6) Travel to Floor 90 and Select Skygrass Hill. Travel North to Vengeance
Demon Tower 1F, Northeast to Skygrass Loft 1, and use the teleport stone.
Kill the Harpies (the green ones) for Harpy Eggs. Use the next teleport
stone and kill the harpies here. Backtrack to the previous area and kill
the harpies. Repeat ad nauseum. Harpy Eggs are the easiest to gather of
all the materials. When midnight strikes, repeat steps 1-5 and then resume
killing harpies.
Having 198 Harpy Eggs and 198 Discarded Crowns will give you a 79.2% chance to
forge a drop rate sword (each Harpy Egg and Discarded Crown add a 0.2% chance).
To make it 100%, you will need a mix of 208 Rare Mushrooms, Influential Jewels,
Cracked Gems, and/or Decorative Stones (each of these materials add a 0.1%
chance). Unless you're willing to make a backup file, getting the drop rate
sword you want will be very time consuming. It's probably better to rely on the
other two methods.
***SECOND METHOD***
This method is the least time consuming. However, the drop rate on the
weapons will not be very impressive compared to the third method. Feel
fortunate if you can get, between two swords, 20+ to your drop rate.
First, to save yourself a lot of headache, complete enough of the Hollow Area
on single player to unlock the Abandoned Area. Next, clear enough of the
Abandoned Area to gain access to Amber Abyss. The game will require you to
take the long way around to The Reaper's Firecage. When you do though, you can
unlock the door that gives you quick access to Amber Abyss from The Reaper's
Firecage.
Doing all of this will allow you to have quick access to Amber Abyss in
multiplayer. Without doing this, you have to take the long way every time
to reach Amber Abyss (which is a pain).
Next, go to Solo play on multiplayer mode. Select the Hollow Mission
"Calamity Born from Despair" in the Abandoned Area list. Teleport to
The Reaper's Firecage and travel South to Amber Abyss.
Travel south to the fork, go east, south, east to the end, south to a crossroad,
west to an area that opens up (you'll know because you'll start taking damage),
travel southwest up a trail to where a metal slime is. This is the Super
Regenerative
Metal. Defeat it with a one-handed sword and QUICKLY open the red chest it was
guarding.
The Metal respawns in about five seconds and will immediately attack you. If
you get
a sword that ends with "Aaser" or "Rugiata", you've acquired a drop rate+ sword.
I found that having one sword equipped, rather than two, increased my chances
of getting a drop rate sword.
Now, you can either use a teleport crystal or leave Amber Abyss which will
return you to the Communications Room (since you activated the Hollow Mission
on the way to the chest).
Exit solo multiplayer. Enter solo multiplayer. Repeat the process until you
have two drop rate swords.
This chest in single player also has drop rate swords. However, even if you exit
the area and reenter, the chest will not respawn right away. This is why
multiplayer is the better option.
At this point, going for implement equipment will be fine, though it may take
more than 1-3 attempts to get the drop.
***THIRD METHOD***
This method requires you to clear most of the Hollow Area because the swords
you want are in Alevaste Otherworld. While this method will take many hours
for you to access, it will give you much better drop rate swords than the
first method. I got a +22 and a +23 drop rate sword using this method which I
used for a lot of the game. A 45% drop rate increase had been enough for me.
As of writing this guide, I have since gotten a +24 and a +29 drop rate sword
which hasn't made much of a difference. With enough patience and luck, you
can get two +30 drop rate swords if you are going for perfection.
NOTE: This method can only be done on single player.
Teleport to Weald of the Wandering Aspirant. Travel Northeast to Miasmatic Ruins
of the Sacred Sword. Travel North to The Sacred Sword's Rest.
You will be in front of a door. Opening it will spawn an enemy. Attacking the
enemy starts the test. There will be five enemies of increasing difficulty.
With every enemy defeated, you will be slapped with status debuffs. On the fifth
enemy, you will have your skills sealed for a short time.
If you beat all five enemies in under three minutes, you will get
Saintblade: Ragnarok, an excellent sword for fighting bosses and Rank 3 HNMs.
If you beat all five enemies between three and eight minutes, however, you
will be given a sword that either increases the drop rate, increases XP gained,
or decreases skill charge time.
If you're level 130+ and have decent equipment that gives you high attack, you
could complete the trial in four to six minutes. Here's the strategy I used at
the time to get Ragnarok which you can tweak as necessary.
Level at the time: 135
Equipment at the time: Exeterna, Lingering Heart, Ace Pendant, Death's Fear
Armor, Crimson Gauntlets, Sleipnir Greaves, Ring of the Transcended, Resonant
Ring, Infinite Ankh, Fistfighter's Tassets, Skill Holder.
NOTE: This does not mean this is the optimal equipment for taking on this
test. This is only what I had at the time.
Battle Skills: Dexterity, Strength, Madness Blow, and War Cry for attack buffs;
Brave Delay to give risk break to an enemy (optional on 4th or 5th enemy);
Perfect Style; Protective Armor or Hyper Armor; Purifying Flame
Items: Purifying Crystal (1 if you don't mess up)
1st Enemy: hit with Infernal Rage or Deep Impact
2nd Enemy: hit with OSS chain of Myriad of Spikes, Spinning Totality, Raucous
Hexedra, Dead End, Crimson Splash, Infernal Rage (or until it dies)
3rd Enemy: Protective Armor, Nightmare Rain, hit with OSS or Deep Impact
4th Enemy: Purifying Flame, Perfect Style, Nebular Empress (arcane skill)
5th Enemy: Use Purifying Crystal to quickly remove seal, hit with OSS listed
above (optionally, you can use Brave Delay to increase damage output)
I finished the test either at 2:47 or 2:57.
If you're going for Ragnarok and didn't finish the test fast enough, you can
close the game and start again to keep your Purifying Crystal.
Tweak the strategy as necessary. For example, don't use Purifying Crystals and
instead wait for Seal to run out, then use Purifying Flame. Don't use attack
buffs.
Use Target Site, Brave Soul, and Technical Beast on additional attempts while
Perfect Style is cooling down.
Keep repeating and soon you will have some decent drop rate swords.
***FINAL THOUGHTS***
Unless you're going for perfection, a 40%-50% drop rate increase between two
swords will be sufficient. You will get MOST of the implement equipment in
1-3 attempts.
These drop rate swords are also perfect for farming ores, stones, and other
material for weapon forging and enhancing. After completing the Hollow Area,
I was sufficiently equipped and leveled up to breeze through the Tower.
When I wasn't fighting the floor bosses, I always had my drop rate swords
equipped to get those extra materials.
I also decided to enchance the strength of my drop rate swords since Carmine
Ores
are the easiest to farm (activate the DLC Hollow Mission "Legacy of the
Nightmare King" and slay those kobolds until you have no more room for ores).
Plus, the extra strength will increase damage output, making farming for
materials quickers.
