     Detailed information on Magic can be found in the Appendix.

There are two types of Magic: Weapon Magic and Battle Magic. Each character has
specific Weapon Magic. Both characters has access to the same Battle Magic.
Every Magic spell comes in a basic, improved, and master version. Improved
magic is unlocked at the beginning of Chapter 1.6. Master magic is unlocked at
the beginning of Chapter 5.

Basic magic costs 2 Crystals and 3 Crystals to fully upgrade.
Improved magic costs 3 Crystals and 3 Crystals to fully upgrade.
Master Magic costs 11 Crystals.

Essential magic spells are Dash, Pyre Burst, and Dragon's Breath. Winds of
Wrath, Arcane Burst, and Sigil of Pain are the second best spells. The least
useful are probably Primal Rage, Arctic Arrow, and Brimstone. Winds of Wrath
and Pyre Burst make a great combo for getting multiple combined kills. Almost
no enemies are immune to Dragon's Breath, while some enemies are immune to Fire
and Ice based attacks (Pyre Burst, Arctic Arrow, Brimstone).

Find the exit from the room and go down the corridor. You wake up as a bald man
named Caddoc.

     "The Fountain of Elisha"

     [ ] Find the Fountain of Elisha

Cross the small wooden bridge. Aim and shoot one of the ropes holding up the
drawbridge. Follow the path until you jump down to the clearing. Get next to
the wall segment and hold SPACE to take cover. Shoot the Arackling Crawlers.
Use the tree to cross the chasm. Switch to your melee weapon and cut down the
weeds. Fight off a second wave of Crawlers. Approach the waterfall to gather
some mana water in a flask.
     [X] Find the Fountain of Elisha

Help your partner lift the heavy door. Squeeze through the vegetation. Make
your way past the large skeleton to the Deathstone. Meet Seraphine. She doesn't
look suspicious.

HTDF-0.2    Section 0.2 Collapse Hall

Run past the collapsing structures. Take cover behind the wall and destroy the
Skeletons. Hold W + SPACE to vault over the wall. Take out the next pair of
Skeletons. Hop over the wall and pick up the Regenerative Vial by the door.
Caddoc pushes the wagon blocking the doorway. Go outside and defeat the group
of skeletons. During the fight you will have to revive Caddoc using the Vial.

After the fight, go back inside the building and pick up another Regenerative
Vial. The path to the next area is on the right. Switch to E'lara's bow and
walk into the lit Brazier on the ground. Shoot the unlit Brazier to open the
gate. Go into the room with the purple OBELISK. You can gather Health and Mana
flasks by breaking the skullpots around the Obelisk. Barrels are always empty.
Switch characters using the Obelisk.

Approach the column and use [E + tap SPACE] to push the column to open the
gate. Loot the two CRYSTAL CHESTS and grab the first two CRYSTALS. Go outside
and press [E] to activate the first DEATHSTONE #01/53.
     [ ]  Solve the riddle of the Axe

     "The Swamps of Despair"

Head up the steps and fight your way through the skeletons to the first WEAPON
RACK. Bust the rack to get access to a new weapon. Cross the water to enter the
Swamps of Despair. Destroy the weeds on the left. Go left at the intersection
and loot the two pouches of GOLD for a total of 15 GOLD. Follow the other path
to a TREASURE CHEST with 20 GOLD. Return to the area where you cut down the
weeds. Enter the shrine marked with a Health Vial. There's a WEAPON RACK and
some containers inside.

Exit the shrine and fight the Crawlers along the path. There's the axe! You can
check out the PLAQUE for a clue. Approach the Brazier and hold down [E] to
order E'lara to light her arrow. Approach the platform with the Axe and hold
down [E] to order E'lara to light the brazier. Run across the new path and pick
up the Axe of Delaine (Ice, 22(49) damage, 288 Fury damage, Medium Fury gain).
     [X]  Solve the riddle of the Axe

Head back and fight off some more skeletons. Go to the right. Fight your way
through more Skeletons and go through the Heavy Door.

HTDF-0.3    Section 0.3 Demon Arena

     Crystal 03

Seraphine shows up and grants you Dragon's Breath magic. Press Q to switch to
casting mode. Head to the battlefield. The ground collapses and you drop down
into a dark room. Press [Q} to use Dragon's Breath to kill groups of skeletons.
The Dragon's Breath is temporary so it fades away after the fight.

Use Caddoc to push open the large statue with the flickering base by the mana
vial. You can pick up a Torch (28 damage, 226 Fury damage, Medium Fury gain)
and light the Torch at the Brazier. Head down into the catacombs. Go to the
right and pick up the pile of 5 GOLD. Turn around and go down the corridor and
look for a second pile of 5 GOLD. Go up the ramp to the second Brazier. Exit
the catacombs into a large cavern.

Follow the wooden ramps and loot the CRYSTAL CHEST for Crystal #03. Exit the
cavern and take a one way trip into a great hall. Smash some skeletons. Use
arrows or bolts to break the two ropes supporting the statue. Use Caddoc to
push over the statue.

     "Danger in Dyfed"

Turn around for some containers and a WEAPON RACK. Look to the right at the
sign above the door. Shoot the rope to cause the sign to swing down and break
through the door. Enter the building for SECRET #01/32. Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST.
Exit the building and head down the street. There's a purple OBELISK where you
can switch characters. A Wargar breaks out of a building on the left. You get
JOURNAL UPDATEs for the Town of Dyfed, Caddoc, and E'lara.

     [ ] Get to the center of Dyfed and find the Lord Mayor

Kill the Wargar and fight your way down the street. You'll pass a WEAPON RACK
at the corner. Use cover and take out the Wargar archers. There's another
WEAPON RACK at the base of the stairs. Go up the steps on the left and shoot
the sign above the door. Enter the building and grab the pile of 15 GOLD and
the 250 GOLD in the TREASURE CHEST from SECRET #02/32. Exit the building. Lift
the Heavy Door on the left.

Turn around and pick up DRAGON TEAR #01/13. Make your way around the building
and kill the kneeling Wargar. Switch to your ranged weapon and run forward to
the wall. Try to kill the pair of Wargar that run away from you. Look to the
right and shoot the rope holding up PRISONER #01/32 and get the JOURNAL UPDATE
for the Wargar Soldier. Vault over the low wall by the Prisoner to get access
to a WEAPON RACK and a pile of 15 GOLD. Hop back over the wall and continue
along between the buildings.

You can't save the woman on the upper story of the building, but you can take
revenge on the Wargar. Look to the right for DEATHSTONE #02/53 to get the
Wargar Warrior JOURNAL UPDATE. Go through the building with the open door and
cross the wooden beam. Go straight and to the right. Go around the corner and
shoot the rope holding up the sign to break through the door. Loot the pair of
ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS in SECRET #03/32.

Exit the room follow the lanterns to get back on solid ground. Go to the left
for an area with two CRYSTAL SHARD pots, a Regenerative Vial, and a pile of 15
GOLD. Fight your past some Wargar. Stay on the upper level and follow the
wooden boards to a CRYSTAL CHEST. Cross the suspension bridge to the tower for
two more CRYSTAL SHARD POTS. Get down to the lower level and take out the
Wargar. Go up the steps on the right and go through the Heavy Door.

There's a MAGIC PORTAL where you can buy/upgrade magic and a purple OBELISK
where you can change characters. Free PRISONER #02/32. Hop down and go through
the building. There's a WEAPON RACK in a dark corner. Going outside triggers a
cutscene.

     "Those Blasted Wargar"

     [ ] Blow Up the House to Get to the Center of Town

Go across into the other building. To the right of the bottom of the stairs is
a WEAPON RACK. Go to the upper level. Take cover on the balcony and wipe out
the Wargar. Shoot the explosive barrel at the base of the wall to destroy the
lower level of the house. Shoot the explosive barrels on the upper level to
complete the demolition of the house. Grab the sack of 40 GOLD off the table by
the bed. Jump off the balcony to the ground.
     [X] Blow Up the House to Get to the Center of Town

Enter the blown-up house and fight your way up to the top floor. After the
house is clear, go back down one flight of stairs. Go to the open edge and look
to the left. Shoot the explosive barrel below you to blow out the wall. Jump
down and enter SECRET #04/32 and loot the CRYSTAL CHEST. Go back into the house
and go to the top of the stairs. Jump over the gap.

Go around the corner and shoot the rope to smash another locked door. Go into
SECRET #05/32 and free PRISONER #03/32 and get the Archer Wargar JOURNAL
UPDATE. Go into the backyard and loot the TREASURE CHEST for 250 GOLD. This
should unlock a couple of the Crucible Tiers. Exit the building and go up the
stairs.

Destroy the Wargar. Go through the arches. There's a WEAPON RACK on the left
and a Mercenary Targe on the right. Fight your way past the bonfire and go to
the right. Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST. Go through the archway and get past the
Heavy Door.

Go down the tunnel to the Brazier. Light an arrow and shoot the unlit brazier
on the right to open a secret wall. Go through the secret wall to gather DRAGON
TEAR #02/13. This also unlocks the Battle Charge talent. Have E'lara light her
arrow at the fire by the Dragon Tear. Go to the end of the tunnel and break
through the boards. Loot the two CRYSTAL SHARD pots. Head down. Don't let the
Skeleton scare you. The stone head gives you PUZZLE #01/08. Loot the two WEAPON
RACKS and the pot. Have Caddoc stand on the stone circle. Shoot the unlit eye
of the stone head with a lit arrow. This opens a secret door and adds the
Ancient One JOURNAL UPDATE.

Go down the excessively long staircase to a treasure room. Loot the three
CRYSTAL CHESTS, four piles of GOLD (15, 40, 15, 40), the TREASURE CHEST with
700 GOLD, and the two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS. Opening either Enchanted Weapon
Rack triggers a skeleton attack and unlocks the Skeleton JOURNAL UPDATE. Exit
the treasure room. Watch out for the dual axe wielding skeleton at the top of
the stairs.

Go back to the brazier and go straight to the grating. Take a left and follow
the tunnel to the Heavy Door. There's a couple of pots and a Regenerative Vial
you can loot before going through the Heavy Door.

There's a Mercenary Targe right next to the door and a couple of WEAPON RACKS
in the next area. Fight through the open area to the square fountain. Secure
the area. Look for a wooden wheelbarrow on the left. Take cover by the
wheelbarrow so you jump over it. Jump over the second wheelbarrow. Go to the
right around the corner. Free PRISONER #04/32. Hop over the wall to SECRET #
06/32 and get the Storm Guard Shield (300 Durability), a sack of 40 GOLD, and a
TREASURE CHEST with 250 GOLD. Finding 6 Secrets unlocks an additional weapon
slot for each character. Go back to the open area and lift the Heavy Door.

Make your way through the tunnel until you get outside again. Head over to the
gate on the left. Fight off a large wave of Crawlers and a Wargar. Go into
another tunnel. A dying guard gives you a new objective.

     [ ] Destroy the upper bridge to stop the Wargar
         from taking the townspeople

Continue on through the tunnel and exit through the Heavy Door.

Kill the Wargars wandering around outside. There's a WEAPON RACK and a TREASURE
CHEST with 80 GOLD. Have E'lara light her arrow at the Brazier and shoot the
hay in the cart. Have Caddoc push the cart into the barrier on the bridge to
burn down the barrier. Cross the bridge using the wooden beam.

Fight off a group of Wargar. There's a WEAPON RACK. Hit the explosive barrel to
blow a hole in the wall. Go up the stairs and take cover. Look to the right end
of the bridge. Hit one of the explosive barrels to blow up the upper bridge.
     [X] Destroy the upper bridge to stop the Wargar
         from taking the townspeople

Go up to the top of the stairs and follow the path through the castle.

Go outside and up the stairs. Check out DEATHSTONE #03/53 for the Wargar
Scorcher JOURNAL UPDATE. There's a white Magic Portal and a purple OBELISK
nearby. Lift the Heavy Door to the courtyard.

     "Enlisted"

There are two WEAPON RACKS and a Mercenary Targe. Shoot the supporting rope on
the sign to get access to SECRET #07/32. Inside is a sack of 40 GOLD, a
TREASURE CHEST with 80 GOLD, and two CRYSTAL SHARD POTS. Go up the staircase.
Take out the Wargar controlling the ballista. Wipe out the archers. Use the
ballista to take out the Wargar warriors.
     [X] Stop the attack on the townspeople inside the Inn
     [X] Get to the center of Dyfed and find the Lord Mayor
     [ ] Get to Town Hall and talk to Lord Mayor

After the cutscene, go back and loot the items on the battlefield. Go back to
the ballista and go to the left past the huge pile of debris. Squeeze through
the gap in the wrecked wall.

Grab the pile of 15 GOLD and bust open the WEAPON RACK. There's another WEAPON
RACK on the left once you get out into the open. The next open area has lots of
Crawlers and LOTS of archers. Clear out the archers and go up the stairs. Take
cover by the barrels and take out the Wargar sniper.

Below the sniper is a sign. Shoot the rope to break open a door revealing
explosive barrels. Blow up the barrels to destroy the walls of the tower. Go
down the stairs and blow up the explosive barrels on the next lower level. Go
back down to the ground and loot the CRYSTAL CHEST and the 700 GOLD in the
TREASURE CHEST in SECRET #08/32. Go to the top of the stairs and go through the
Heavy Door.

Go outside and there's a white MAGIC PORTAL around the corner next to a
Mercenary Targe. Go to the large courtyard with the statues. Kill the Wargar.
Cross the courtyard and go up the opposite set of stairs. Go to the left and go
around the building. Check out the PLAQUE for a clue.
     [ ] Light the lights in heavy hand - And you'll uncover treasure grand

Have Caddoc push the cart that's behind the building. Have E'lara light an
arrow. Shoot the brazier being held by the solitary statue on the lower level.
This opens up a secret wall. Grab DRAGON TEAR #03/13 from the hidden alcove.
     [X] Light the lights in heavy hand - And you'll uncover treasure grand

Go up the stairs and go to the right. Make your way past the wreckage.

Fight your way through the Town Center. There are lots of archers so take your
time. Once you go up the steps leading to the upper platform, the Lord Mayor
tells you about the tower for a LORE UPDATE.

Fight your way to the ballista. Take control of the ballista and shoot the
tower until it crumbles. Cue a long cutscene. This unlocks the Lord Mayor and
Arackling Crawlers in the JOURNAL.

JOURNAL UPDATE for the Dungeons of Dyfed. Head down the tunnel to the purple
OBELISK. Check the opposite corner of the room for the skeletal DEATHSTONE #
04/53. You get the JOURNAL UPDATE for the Dread and a couple of LORE UPDATES.
Note the unlit Brazier. Continue down the tunnel and go left past the stairs.
There are three WEAPON RACKS, a pile of 15 GOLD, and a TREASURE CHEST with 700
GOLD. Looting the treasure chest spawns some skeletons.

Go up the steps to the Ancient One to listen to a riddle.

     [ ] Solve the Riddle of the Ancient One
           [ ] Bring a blue flame back to the stone head

Have E'lara light an arrow. Go back down the tunnel and light the unlit Brazier
to open a secret wall.

Enter the crypt and check out the plaque to the right.

           [ ] Find the Four Rune Keys to open the secret chamber

Just beyond the plaque is the RED RUNE. Follow the tunnel to a drafty wall.
Have Caddoc push the wall. Enter the passage beyond the wall. Watch out for the
round floor trap at the top of the steps. Go down the steps. The YELLOW RUNE is
on the right. Beyond the yellow rune is the AZURE FIRE. Have E'lara approach
the Azure Fire to light her arrow. Watch out for the spider! Turn around and go
straight and turn to the right and go up the steps. The wall opens
automatically for you.

Watch out for the skeletons in the tunnel. Go to the left. Light the unlit
azure brazier that's behind the grating to open a secret wall. Enter the room
to get the PURPLE RUNE. There's also three WEAPON RACKS, a sack of 40 GOLD, and
a TREASURE CHEST with 250 GOLD. Picking up the rune triggers some skeletons.
Exit the room and go to the right.

Have Caddoc push the drafty wall in the corner. The room behind the secret wall
has the GREEN RUNE and a TREASURE CHEST with 250 GOLD. Looting the green rune
triggers an encounter with a Dread, a dual axe wielding skeleton. Exit the room
by going up the short wooden ramp.

A bunch of skeletal swords and boards spawn. In the room is a sack of 40 GOLD
and three WEAPON RACKS. Check a side chamber for two TREASURE CHESTS with 80
GOLD in each chest. Exit through the tunnel and take the first left to loot the
CRYSTAL CHEST. Drop down into the crypt.

     [X] Find the Four Rune Keys to open the secret chamber

Use the four runes to open the big double doors to reveal two ENCHANTED WEAPON
RACKS. This also awakens a Giant Skeleton Warrior with a shield and a couple of
normal skeletons. Go to town. Be sure to loot the BLUE ORB dropped by the giant
skeleton.

Light E'lara's arrow using the azure flame. Exit the crypt and go to the right
to get back to the chamber with the purple Obelisk. Kill the Dread guarding the
Ancient One. Shoot the left eye of the Ancient One with the azure flame to
solve PUZZLE #02/08.

Go through the Ancient One and lift up the Heavy Door.

Follow the tunnel to get outside. There are a couple of WEAPON RACKS and a
TREASURE CHEST with 80 GOLD. Look inside the building and free PRISONER #05/32
and get the Wargar Guardian JOURNAL UPDATE. Turn around and head toward the
large barn. Two armored Wargar Guardians break through the wall and attack.
Enter the barn and check out the small room on the left for a CRYSTAL CHEST.
Take the exit on the right to go outside. There's a CRYSTAL SHARD POT and
DEATHSTONE #05/32. Listening to the corpse nets you the Chicken JOURNAL UPDATE.
Go back inside the barn and go to the upper level. Fight off another pair of
Wargar Guardians.

Exit the barn and drop down right next to a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Make your way
into the field of tall grass/plants. Go into the first clearing and chop down
the weeds on the left to get access to SECRET #09/32. The Veteran's Shield (300
Durability) and three CRYSTAL SHARD POTS are yours for the looting. Continue
through the field. Just before you exit the field, switch to melee and chop
down the weeds on the right. This reveals a concealed path leading to three
CRYSTAL SHARD POTS in SECRET #10/32. Exit the field and go to the entrance of
Dyfed Keep. Lift the Heavy Door to enter.

Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST on the left. You can upgrade your Magic and switch
characters. The second tier of magic is unlocked. You have to fully upgrade the
tier 1 magic in order to get the second tier magic. Loot the supplies on the
bridge. Lift the Heavy Door to begin the BOSS fight.

Stay under cover and take out the archers. Watch out for archers on the ground
that try to flank you. Wargar soldiers jump down from the sides after all the
archers are taken out. The third wave is made up of Wargar warriors (swords and
boards). The last wave includes two Wargar Guardians. The Infected Wargar
starts to teleport around the area after all the other Wargar have been killed.

After the cutscene you get the Infected Wargar JOURNAL UPDATE. Travel around
the edge of the well and use your melee weapon to break the boards revealing
SECRET #11/32 and two WEAPON RACKS. Squeeze through the crack in the wall to
the purple Obelisk.

Head down the tunnel. Look for breakable boards on the right to get two
skullpots. Ignore the prisoner for now. Go up the steps and you can sneak up on
a couple of Wargar. DEATHSTONE #06/53 is in the corner. This gets you a new
objective

     [ ] Spoils of the Legend
           ...To those that take up my cause, stand where
           fire forever rains and it is there where you may spy
           where I hid my spoils.

Go down the steps and free PRISONER #06/32. Continue down the tunnel to a
bridge. You can kill some Wargar below you. Go down the steps. At the end of
the corridor have E'lara stand on the circle under the brazier. Have Caddoc
push the wall. There's a WEAPON RACK, a skullpot, and a TREASURE CHEST with 350
GOLD behind the wall. Lift up the Heavy Door.

Fight the Wargars in the large chamber. You can check the upper levels for a
WEAPON RACK and a skullpot. Go through the gate into a large circular room.
Kill the Wargar warriors and archers. There might be a guardian or two. The
opposite gate opens and a dual-wielding Wargar shows up. Kill that Wargar to
clear the area.

One side of the circular room has an unlocked door with a WEAPON RACK to the
left of the door. Go through the door and kill the guardian. Follow the tunnel
to a room with an ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK and a CRYSTAL CHEST.

Go back to the circular room and go up the stairs. Check out DEATHSTONE #07/53
for the Wargar Zealot JOURNAL UPDATE. Go to the top of the stairs and kick open
the door to get to a skullpot and a TREASURE CHEST (100 GOLD). Have E'lara
light her arrow at the brazier. Go back to the lower level of the circular
chamber and go to the left to the door secured with two wooden bars. Look at
the gap in the wall to the left of the door. Shoot an arrow through the gap to
light a brazier that unlocks the door. Go into the unlocked room for SECRET #
12/32. Loot the ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK, CRYSTAL CHEST, and WEAPON RACK. Return
to the circular chamber and go through the gate closest to the stairs. Lift the
Heavy Door.

Go down the steps and light an arrow. Go into the dark tunnel on the right.
There's a couple of skullpots and a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Turn around and go into
the lighted section of the tunnel. DEATHSTONE #08/53 is in the corner with a
Shadow Crawler JOURNAL UPDATE. Turn around and look up. Light an arrow and
shoot the brazier that's above the stairs going down. About halfway down the
stairs, look for a hole in the wall on the right. Kill the crawler and loot the
ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK in SECRET #13/32. Go down the rest of the stairs.

Drop down into a crawler nest. Kill all the crawlers. Light an arrow. Go to the
right for a pile of 20 GOLD. Go to the left for DEATHSTONE #09/32. Continue to
the left for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Go back into the main chamber and take the
next tunnel to the left to the brazier. Break through the boards at the end of
the corridor and grab DRAGON TEAR #04/13. Head down the spiral staircase.

     [ ] Crypt of Eternity
           Explore the area ahead for treasure and magical weapons

Follow the tunnel to the treasure chamber. Read the book.

     [ ] Solve the riddle of the book of the dead

Both paths lead to a WEAPON RACK. The left path goes to a purple Obelisk. The
right path has a skullpot in a side chamber. Get onto the floating circular
platform. Shoot the bell to move the platform under the bell.

First, shoot the bell straight ahead. Second, shoot the bell to the right. Go
into the tunnel. Watch out for the collapsing wall that reveals two skullpots
and a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Go down the tunnel to the room. Loot the chest for a
key. This also triggers a couple of skeletons. Pick up the pile of 20 GOLD and
get the 350 GOLD from the TREASURE CHEST. Go back to the floating platform.

Return to the starting area and use the key to unlock the tall door. Loot the
chest to get the Withered Heart. Return to the floating platform.

Shoot the bells to cross the room to the opposite tunnel. Make your way through
the tunnel to the chamber. For loot there's a sack of 50 GOLD, a pile of 20
GOLD by the corpse, and a TREASURE CHEST with 800 GOLD. Have Caddoc stand on
the circular pressure plate to light the brazier on the wall. Light an arrow.
Shoo the corpse to make a pile of ash. Return to the floating platform.

Next, we want to go to the area that's across from the three lit arches.
There's an Ancient One here that gives you a riddle. Well, we already have the
withered heart so the Ancient One opens up to let us pass.

Behind the Ancient One is a long hall. One character needs to stand on the
pressure plate by the door while the other character gets the second set of
ashes on top of the flame jet. Kill the skeletons after retrieving the ash. Go
to the floating platform and return to the book of the dead. Use the book.
This solves PUZZLE #03/08.
     [X] Solve the riddle of the book of the dead

The entire center of the room rises up to the ledge with the treasure. Loot the
two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS and the two CRYSTAL CHESTS. Back up the stairs to
the crawler nest. Lift the Heavy Door.

Light an arrow and go to the corner of the tunnel. Look up and shoot the
brazier. Run down the tunnel to avoid the crawlers. Drop down into the next
room and fight off the crawlers. Go through the dark arches for DEATHSTONE #
10/53 and a LORE UPDATE. Follow the vaulted area to a sack of 50 GOLD. Lift the
Heavy Door.

Up ahead is a purple Obelisk and a cutscene with an escaped prisoner. There are
some items in the cubbyhole next to the Obelisk. Go up the stairs to a MAGIC
PORTAL. Go through the hole in the wall next to the Magic Portal and squeeze
through the narrow gap in the wall.

Don't drop down immediately. Snipe the Zealot and other Wargar from above.
Drop  down into the cells area. Kill the remaining Zealot and archer. Bust open
the WEAPON RACK and sweep the area for pickups. Use the lever to open the cell
and free PRISONER #07/32. Prisoner #08/32 is in an open cell. One cell past the
two prisoners is a skullpot and ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK. Open the cell on the
other side to access DEATHSTONE #11/53 and get a new objective. Use the large
winch to open the gate to the next area.

     [ ] Tear in a cell

Kill the guardian and the infected Wargar. There's a WEAPON RACK by the wooden
ramp. Go up the ramp to the upper level and follow the path back to the first
room. Go to the left and use the lever on the wall to open the upper cells.
There's a sack of 50 GOLD in the cell closest to the lever. Free PRISONER #
09/32 in the next cell. Go to the other side of the upper level and there's
PRISONER #10/32 with a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. You get the JOURNAL UPDATE for the
Overland Tribe. Look for a round seal on the floor. Stand on the seal to open a
grate that's above and to the left of the cell on the lower lever that has the
Dragon Tear. Shoot the object behind the grating to open the lower cell. Go
back down to the lower level and pick up DRAGON TEAR #05/13.

Go back to the room with the wooden ramp and crank the winch to open another</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
gate. Wade through the water in the tunnel.

Take out the skeleton in the little room. Loot the two WEAPON RACKS and
skullpots. Go down the hallway, loot the skullpots, and lift the Heavy Door.

Go up the steps and start fighting the Wargar. Straight across from the top of
the first set of steps is a short tunnel. Break through the boards at the end
of the short tunnel for SECRET #14/32 with a WEAPON RACK and a skullpot. Head
up and continue to fight your way along the path.  Eventually you'll run into a
couple of Zealots. Nearby should be some wooden boards you can break through to
get to a CRYSTAL SHARD POT and a Regenerative Vial.

The next large room is guarded by archers in the first area. Go up the steps to
a second area with archers and warriors. There's one WEAPON RACK in a corner
straight across from the top of the steps. E'lara can go up a second set of
steps to a sort of sniper's nest. Loot the 800 GOLD from the TREASURE CHEST.

Look for the three skulls above a brazier. Shoot the skulls to open a secret
wall. Behind the wall is DEATHSTONE #12/53, a WEAPON RACK, a CRYSTAL SHARD POT,
and a Regenerative Vial. The Deathstone gives you a LORE UPDATE. Have Caddoc
push the wall to get access to a CRYSTAL CHEST in SECRET #15/32. Exit the
secret chamber and head to the left. Lift the Heavy Door.

HTDF-2.3    Section 2.3 Crane Room

You can switch characters at the purple Obelisk. Kick open the door.

     [ ] Find a way down for you and your partner

Loot the two WEAPON RACKS. There are a couple of skullpots hidden behind the
crane by the door. Have one character jump onto the crane platform. Order the
other character to start lowering the crane using the crank.

Look to the left and kill the Wargars. Note the numerous explosive barrels you
can shoot to take out groups of the enemy. Get off the lowered crane platform.
Watch out for the Zealot. Loot the CRYSTAL SHARD POT to the right on the other
side of the brazier. Go to the left and look down. Shoot at the cluster of
explosive barrels to collapse the stone tower.
     [X] Find a way down for you and your partner

Go down the second set of stairs and go through the hole in the wall. Squeeze
underneath the collapsed stone.

Break the boards on the left to loot a couple of skullpots. Go into the alcove
on the right for a couple more skullpots and DEATHSTONE #13/53. In the corner
of the tunnel is a purple Obelisk and a MAGIC PORTAL. Go down the steps and hop
over the flames.

The next chamber is full of crawlers. The covered side area on the right has a
CRYSTAL SHARD POT and a TREASURE CHEST with just 100 GOLD. The side tunnel on
the left side is empty. Go to the left and lift the Heavy Door at the end of
the tunnel.

You enter a huge cave where you can see the huge shadowy form of the Queen of
Darkness and the villagers being lead to be sacrificed.

     [ ] Follow the trail of the villagers down into the dungeon

Go up the wooden ramp into the watch tower for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Start
fighting your way down the stone ramp to the middle platform. Go into the
tunnel on the right and past the crawlers is DEATHSTONE #14/53 next to a
CRYSTAL SHARD POT and a random weapon. Continue down the stone ramp and go
through the Heavy Door.

Exit the torture chamber by kicking in the door to the left of the mechanical
torture device. Battle the Wargar scorchers, guardian, and an infected Wargar.
Exit the room, follow the path down, and cross the wooden beam.

Drop down twice to the second ledge. Look behind you for a sack of 50 GOLD in
an alcove. Drop down one last time. Make your way through the crawler infested
hallway and lift the Heavy Door.

Head down the stairs for an Objective update.

     [ ] Continue to follow the trail of the villagers
           down deeper into the dungeons

Yeah, there's the end boss. Kill the infected Wargar and warriors on the
platform below. If you stay on the ramp you can snipe the Wargar and stay out
of range of the infected Wargar's projectile attacks. Go down to the platform
and go through the hole in the wall. Some crawlers are hanging out by a CRYSTAL
SHARD POT and a pile of 20 GOLD. Go back to the platform and go down the stairs
by the Regenerative Vial. There's a WEAPON RACK behind the bottom of the
staircase. Go down the short tunnel.

Lift the Heavy Door and watch the cutscene.

     [ ] Carefully make your way across the Bridges.

If you should fall off the bridges, you will have to fight a very large group
of crawlers and lift the Heavy Door to get access to the stone ramp going up.

The first bridge is to the right. A zealot waits for you on the other side of
the bridge. There's a WEAPON RACK and some breakables. Stay by the next bridge
to snipe the infected Wargar and Zealot on the other side of the bridge. Cross
the bridge and clean up any surviving enemies. There's a sack of 50 GOLD to the
right of the door in one of the stalls. Look for a stone ramp leading down on
the right side. Smash open the CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Return to the area where you
killed the infected Wargar and lift the Heavy Door.
     [X] Carefully make your way across the Bridges

Follow the path down to the bottom of the tower. Look for the pair of explosive
barrels on the left. Shoot them to make a hole in the wall. Go through the hole
and loot the CRYSTAL CHEST in SECRET #16/32. Check out DEATHSTONE #15/53 for a
LORE UPDATE. Continue down the tunnel until you spot the giant spider. Go into
the spider tunnel and start stomping on crawlers. Make your way under the
wooden beams.

Free PRISONER #11/32 for the Blastcaster JOURNAL UPDATE. Move out into the huge
cave and take out the Wargar. Loot the CRYSTAL SHARD POT on the left. Fight
your way down deeper into the cave. At the next platform you want to stand next
to the gargoyle. Shoot the explosive barrel to create a hole in the wall below.
At the bottom of the second stone ramp is a large set of ruins. Go to the right
and look for DEATHSTONE #16/53 and a LORE UPDATE. Continue to move through the
ruins.

Go through the hole in the wall to SECRET #17/32 for the following items: a
CRYSTAL SHARD POT, a CRYSTAL CHEST, a Noble Shield (400 Durability), a TREASURE
CHEST with 350 GOLD, and DRAGON TEAR #06/13. Go to the right and pass through
the archway to DEATHSTONE #17/53 and another LORE UPDATE. Squeeze beneath the
wooden beams to continue.

Check out the giant eye. There's a WEAPON RACK and a couple of skullpots. Head
down the stone ramp. Watch out for the crawlers on the bridge and the Wargar
sniper to the left. Cross the bridge and kill the two guardians. Go under the
archway and look to the right. Loot the CRYSTAL SHARD POT. You can check out
the top of the fortification, but there's nothing significant to be found. Go
down the stone ramp to the next flat area. Go toward the two floor torches and
hook to the left for a WEAPON RACK and a skullpot. Lift the Heavy Door.

Upgrade your weapon and battle magic at the white MAGIC PORTAL. You can also
swap character control at the purple Obelisk. Go to the very end of the tunnel
for a WEAPON RACK. Backtrack a little bit and go sideways through the narrow
gap in the wall.

Take a left for a CRYSTAL CHEST and a Regenerative Vial in the dead end. Turn
around and head to the other end of the hallway. The end of the hallway is
covered by a ballista. Try to take out the Wargar on the ballista early. Use
cover and move out of the hallway to the bridge. Fight your way to the
ballista. Enemies then stream in from the wooden bridges on each side. Kill all
the Wargar. Loot the battlefield. Go through the open doorway to the left of
the ballista and the bridge. There's a WEAPON RACK on the left and some
skullpots by the side of the stairs. Make your way up the stairs and lift the
Heavy Door.

Fight your way across the bridge. Go up the stairs on the right for a WEAPON
RACK. Go down the stairs and take out the last group of Wargar. Go back to the
entrance. Shoot the skull above the doorway to start opening a Magic Door. Go
down the side stairs. Free PRISONER #12/32. Shoot the explosive barrel next to
the prisoner to open a hole in the wall. Grab the Noble Shield (400) inside the
hidden room. Shoot the Skull mounted on the wall. Turn around and head toward
the other set of stairs. Look for a skull on the right. Go to the left and
there's a WEAPON RACK and the magic door. Shoot the skull above the magic door
to remove the last lock. Kick open the door to SECRET #18/32. Inside there's
100 GOLD in a TREASURE CHEST, a CRYSTAL CHEST, and ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK, and a
second TREASURE CHEST with 800 GOLD.

Make your way back up to the bridge and go to the opposite end. Go down to the
bottom of the stairs on the left. Turn around at the bottom of the stairs for a
couple of skullpots. Go past all the rubble into the tunnel. Lift the Heavy
Door to get to the next area.

This area is heavily fortified. There are guard towers with blastcasters on
either side. After the blastcasters are dead, watch out for the guardians and
the infected Wargar that come down the central path. There's a WEAPON RACK on
each side. Check out the guard towers. Go up the central path. Take note of the
lever next to the giant spider skin.

     [ ] Find your way down to journey deeper into the depths of the
           dungeon to save the villagers from the Queen of Darkness

Yeah, go up and pull the lever next to the molted skin of the giant spider.
Jump down the hole. Squeeze through the second most common feature of the
dungeons: the narrow gap. Watch E'lara do her patented twirl while walking
sideways through the gap.

Go down the steps, kill the Zealot. Hack your way through the boards to get
access to the Catacombs. Go down the steps to a purple Obelisk. Drop down the
hole in the floor across from the obelisk. Kill the crawlers. Go into the dark
tunnel on the right for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Go up the steps and loot the
CRYSTAL CHEST. Drop down from the ledge. Go back to the obelisk room. Go into
the candle-lit tunnel and down the steps. Pick up the 20 GOLD in front of the
Crypt.

     [ ] Catacombs
           Explore the area ahead for treasure and magical weapons

Stand on the two round pressure plates to open the secret wall behind the
crypt. Go down the stairs to the Ancient One to get another riddle.

     [ ] Solve the riddle of the Ancient One
           ...To win the key within this tomb...
           ...Bring here the life that thrives in gloom...

Go into the tunnel on the left. Make another left and go around the corner for
a sack of 50 GOLD. Turn around and go straight into the huge cavern. Go down
the stairs on the left. Go straight ahead to the door with the missing skull.
Go to the left for a TREASURE CHEST with 100 GOLD. Turn around and go down the
steps toward the sound of the waterfall. Go to the right and duck into the hole
to get to a couple of skullpots. Head to the waterfall. Go to the left for a
CRYSTAL SHARD POT among the spiky ground. Turn around and go to the brazier.
Continue past the brazier and take a left. This path leads to a stone column.
Stand in the corner and turn the crank on the stone column. This shuts off the
waterfall.

Head into the side chamber for a pile of 20 GOLD, a couple of skullpots, and
some crawlers. Go back the waterfall. There's an unlit brazier. Have E'lara
light an arrow and shoot the brazier. This opens the gate to the right. Go
through the gate to the end of the tunnel and pick up the giant skull. Go back
to the waterfall room. There's a Dread running around. I just went up the steps
back to the skull door and replaced the missing skull. Open the skull door and
go down the stairs. There are two CRYSTAL CHESTS and an ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK.
Pick up the purple flower.

Exit the tunnel and kill a massive group of skeletons. Go up the stairs. Return
to the Ancient One. Use the flower by the brazier to open the Ancient One. Use
the lever to open the tall gate opposite the stone head and solve PUZZLE #
04/08. Pick up the pile of 20 GOLD next to the lever.

Enter the chamber behind the gate. The floor rises up and you face off against
another huge skeleton. Use heavy attacks to break the boss skeleton's shield,
then destroy it. Make sure to pick up the red sphere dropped by the boss
skeleton. Inside the TREASURE CHEST is 800 GOLD. Go up the stone ramp to the
obelisk. Go up the stairs on the left. Go through the doorway on the right and
grab the pile of 20 GOLD. Go through the doorway by the brazier and head
downstairs. Lift up the Heavy Door.

Follow the path and jump down the broken staircase. Go to the right beyond the
purple Obelisk and white MAGIC PORTAL and check out DEATHSTONE #18/53 and a
LORE UPDATE. Go to the left and lift the Heavy Door.

HTDF-2.6    Section 2.6 Spider Lair

Go down the stairs to the SLEG VAT. Drinking Sleg changes the ending of the
game. It is recommended that you don't drink the Sleg during your first
playthrough. There are WEAPON RACKS to the left and the right.

     [ ] Fight your way forward

Fight your way past all the Wargar. It's a long fight so be ready. There are
numerous Wargar archers, scorchers, and new Wargar warriors that are tougher
than Wargar warriors. Keep fighting until the gate at the far end of the
chamber opens.

Loot the battlefield. There's another WEAPON RACK by the statues and 10 GOLD at
the bottom of the stairs. Go into the tunnel on the right to trigger a
cutscene.

     [ ] Stop the High priest from feeding the villagers

So, kill the guardians and the two infected Wargars. One of the infected
Wargars is the High Priest. Take down the High Priest to trigger a Deathstone
cutscene.

You get the Queen's Tribe JOURNAL UPDATE. Stand near the round seal between the
floor torches. Have E'lara light an arrow and shoot the brazier hanging from
the statue's mouth over the entrance. This opens up the gate. Quickly loot the
TREASURE CHEST of 100 GOLD before the chicken kills you. Go up the stairs by
the banner and grab the weapon from the corpse.

Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST and drop down. Keep jumping off the ledge until you
reach the tunnel at the bottom. Somebody left another CRYSTAL CHEST in the
tunnel. Proceed to the purple Obelisk. Jump off the high ledge into the huge
cave.

     [ ] Escape the charging Queen of Darkness

Hello, the Queen of Darkness. Hold down SPACE and sprint to the wall, which
conveniently collapses. Keep moving toward the next stone wall. Don't bother
fighting the Wargar. Past the second stone wall is an arch. Run through the
arch. Keep sprinting to either ballista. Start firing at the Queen of Darkness.

This is the prompt to fire at the stalactite above the Queen of Darkness. Ouch.

Free PRISONER #13/32. There's 400 GOLD in the TREASURE CHEST. Cross the third
bridge. Squeeze under the tree trunk.

Purple Obelisk and white MAGIC PORTAL up ahead. Follow the path to free
PRISONER #14/32. Continue along the path to the edge. Kill the archers behind
the fortifications. Jump down and go to the right. Cut down the tall weeds to
uncover SECRET #19/32. Loot the WEAPON RACK and pick up the pile of 25 GOLD.
Enter the Wargar fort and kill the Wargar within. Watch out for Wargar on the
upper platform. There's a WEAPON RACK under the platform. Loot up and exit the
fort by squeezing through the fireplace hole. Fight a larger group of Wargar in
the second part of the fort. There are two WEAPON RACKS in the area. Go through
the tall gate and loot some skullpots. Watch the pretty cutscene.

     "Revolt!"

     [ ] Help the escaped slaves fight the Wargar

Go to the left and cut down the tall weeds. Look by the base of the tree for
the skeletal DEATHSTONE #19/53 and a LORE UPDATE. Shoot the explosive barrel on
the bridge. Go up the makeshift ramp to SECRET #20/32. Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST,
the Hardened Noble Shield, and the TREASURE CHEST with 400 GOLD. Lift up the
Heavy Door.

Try to avoid the catapult. Kill the Wargar. Work your way down the hill and
head to the left. Clear the area, loot the battlefield, lift the Heavy Door.

You are now inside the fort. Grab the Hardened Noble Shield from the wall.
Follow the corridor. There's a supply cache near the top of the steps. There's
another Hardened Noble Shield, two WEAPON RACKS, and some skullpots. Lift the
Heavy Door at the bottom of the steps.

     [ ] Kill all the Wargar and blow away the rubble to win the revolt

Avoid the enemies and go to the right. Take the wooden ramp to enter the tower.
There's a WEAPON RACK in the back. Run through the tower to reach a bridge
outside. Kill the Wargar operating the catapult. Jump down and take control of
the catapult. The pile of rubble is to the left of the tower ramp. Hop down
from the catapult to trigger a cutscene.
     [X] Kill all the Wargar and blow away the rubble to win the revolt

Head to the white MAGIC PORTAL and purple Obelisk. From the magic portal, turn
to the left and go into the cave for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Continue along the
ravine to where the path splits. Take the path on the right to DEATHSTONE #
20/53 for a LORE UPDATE. Take the left path to exit the ravine. Follow the path
as it goes downhill. Take cover and kill the archers. Go downhill a little more
and fight some ground troops. The final Wargar should be a Zealot. At the
bottom of the path is a WEAPON RACK.

Continue to go straight to a campsite. There's a Shield of Grounding by the
campfire, a CRYSTAL CHEST, a WEAPON RACK, and a pile of 25 GOLD. Backtrack a
little and look for the downward path between the two trees. Jump over the gap.

Cross the bridge and immediately go to the right. Follow the path and go behind
the waterfall into a fairly deep cave. Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST and 400 GOLD from
the TREASURE CHEST. Exit the cave and continue downhill to another group of
Wargars. After the battle, check out the campsite on the right for two WEAPON
RACKS and some skullpots. Pick up the epic shield Jisip's Barrier (400
Durability, 12 Armor).

Continue downhill and look for a path on the left. Walk along the rocks to
SECRET #21/32 with a TREASURE CHEST with 120 GOLD. Go back to the main path and
drop down from the ledge.

There's three WEAPON RACKS, a Noble Shield, and some skullpots. Take note of
the cave to the left. Go into the cave. Smash the CRYSTAL SHARD POT on the
right. Free PRISONER #15/32 and get a new objective.

     [ ] Search the Wargar Camp beyond the gate for Peredur

Some Wargar ambush you when you exit the cave. Run up the steps to the SLEG
VAT. Battle a huge wave of Wargar. This is followed by a tiny group of Wargar.
There are two WEAPON RACKS in front of the gate. Go past the giant gears and
lift the Heavy Door.

DEATHSTONE #21/52 is just to the right. Follow the path and jump over the
narrow gap.

At the end of the path is a supply cache with a WEAPON RACK, a Noble Shield,
skullpots, ammo, and Regenerative Vials. Walk off the ledge on the right.

Wargar camp. Big one. You can sneak along the left flank, the right flank, or
charge straight in. The left flank leads to a path that's a bit higher than the
camp. Take out the blastcaster on the upper platform with a well-aimed
headshot. The right flank path leads through the swamps on one side of the
camp. Kill all the Wargar in the camp. Go into the cave on the left. There's a
WEAPON RACK just inside the cave entrance. Be prepared to fight a lot of
crawlers and some warriors. Look for another WEAPON RACK in the blue glowing
section of the cave. Break the boards on the left for a Hardened Noble Shield.
Just past that is a WEAPON RACK. Break into the room at the end of the path to
free PRISONER #16/42, the infamous Peredur. Turns out he's not from Dyfed.

     [X] Search the Wargar Camp beyond the gate for Peredur
     [X] Follow the people of Dyfed and the Mayor's daughter
           Seraphine into the wild

     "To the Temple"

     [ ] Pursue the slave trains and find out where they are going

Loot the CRYSTAL SHARD POT before leaving the cave. Fight your through the
Zealots, warriors, and infected Wargar to the mouth of the cave. Kill the
archers, warriors, and infected Wargar. Loot any useful items and cross the
drawbridge to exit the camp. Look underneath the platform on the right for a
CRYSTAL CHEST and a sack of 50 GOLD. Follow the path and jump off the ledge.

Cross the narrow log to get over the stream. There's two Noble Shields, a
WEAPON RACK, ammo, and skullpots by the purple Obelisk and white MAGIC PORTAL.
See the boards to the right of the Heavy Door? Bust those up and take the side
path. WEAPON RACK!

     "Lost Temple"
     [ ] Explore the area ahead for treasure and magical weapons

Go down the path and cut down the tall weeds. Steal the sack of 50 GOLD from
the chicken. Go to the right and cut down some more tall weeds and enter the
campsite. Oh, look. DEATHSTONE #22/53. Go straight ahead and squeeze past the
plants. Climb up the rock face to the ruins. There are two square pressure
plates on either side of the gate by the columns. Stand on both pressure plates
to open the gate to the ruins. Inside you can find the following: a pile of 25
GOLD, a sack of 50 GOLD, another pile of 25 GOLD, and some Regenerative Vials.
Approach the Ancient One.

     [ ] Solve the Riddle of the Ancient One

Okay, so we need a feather, a plant, and some sap. Turn around and exit the
ruins. Go straight and run off the ledge. Cut down the tall weeds on the left.
Cut down another set of tall weeds on the right. Pick one of the flowers. Cut
through the other set of tall weeds to return to the campsite. Cut through the
tall weeds to the right by the flat rock. Grab the 120 GOLD in the TREASURE
CHEST. Look up and there's a black bird in the tree above you. Shoot the bird.
Pick up the feather. Cut through the tall weeds and take the path into the
cave. Pick up a piece of yellow amber by the amber column. Return to the
campsite and approach the fire pit to make the green fire. Have E'lara light an
arrow. Squeeze through the plants again. Return to the Ancient One in the
ruins. Kill the Dread. Shoot the Ancient One in one of its eyes to solve PUZZLE
#05/08.
     [X] Explore the area ahead for treasure and magical weapons
     [X] Solve the Riddle of the Ancient One

The Temple treasure consists of: two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS, two CRYSTAL
CHESTS, and two TREASURE CHESTS (400 GOLD and 900 GOLD). Make your way back to
the purple Obelisk and Magic Portal and lift the Heavy Door.

Follow the path. Look for a side path on the left that goes to DRAGON TEAR #
07/13 in SECRET #22/32. This unlocks the Spell Link ability. Spell Link happens
when both characters Battle Charge each other. Return to the path and go right.
Hop off the ledge.

The next area is a small Wargar camp. Kill the Wargar. If E'lara shoots an
arrow through the campfire, the arrow ignites mid-flight. Free PRISONER #17/32.
He warns you about the horns in the Wargar camps.

     [ ] Free as many prisoners as possible from the Wargar camps

Go through the gate to the next camp. Kill the Wargars and stop any Wargars
from reaching the signal horn. If any Wargar uses the signal horn, the
additional Wargar will attempt to kill the prisoner. That's bad. Free PRISONER
#18/32 by the WEAPON RACK.

Go through the gate to the next camp. There is one signal horn on the left.
Stop any Wargar from using that horn. Clear out the Wargar and any Wargar that
come through the gate from the next camp. Free PRISONER #19/32 and PRISONER #
20/32. Check out the two WEAPON RACKS. Go to the next camp.

Smash the two WEAPON RACKS, the skullpots, and scoop up any Regenerative Vials.
Attack the next camp. The signal horn is on the right. Go there and protect
that until all the Wargar are dead. Free PRISONER #21/32, #22/32, and #23/32.
There are three WEAPON RACKS scattered around the camp. Head to the next gate.
Open up the TREASURE CHEST for 120 GOLD.

There are two signal horns by the campfire. Station yourself between them and
kill any Wargar foolish enough to go for the horns. Free PRISONERS #24/32, #
25/32, #26/32, and #27/32. There are two WEAPON RACKS.

     [X] Free as many prisoners as possible from the Wargar camps

Exit the camp. Cut down the tall weeds on the left before going through the
gate. The campfire is SECRET #23/32. Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST, the sack of 50
GOLD, and the pile of 25 GOLD. Now go through the gate. Follow the path and
squeeze between the rocks.

Go up the slope on the right to the skeletal DEATHSTONE #23/53 for a LORE
UPDATE. Enter the ruins. There's a Jisip's Barrier shield hanging on the wall
by the skullpots and two WEAPON RACKS. Go into the next section of the ruins
for a Shield of Grounding, a WEAPON RACK, and a CRYSTAL SHARD POT by the
skullpots. Lift the Heavy Door to continue.

     [ ] Get to the temple entrance at the top of the hill

Watch out for the catapults. Follow the path and kill any Wargar. Wait for a
shot from the catapult to break a hole in the wall. Run uphill to the catapults
and take out the catapult operators and Wargar archers. Kill all the Wargar.
Take control of the catapults.

     [ ] Defend the hill against the advancing Wargar using the catapult

Simply aim the catapult at the center gate and spam shots in that area. All the
Wargar will eventually run toward the gate and get killed.

     [X] Defend the hill against the advancing Wargar using the catapult

Go through the gate behind the catapults. Check out DEATHSTONE #24/53 to the
right of the Heavy Door. Get through the Heavy Door.

There's a purple Obelisk just inside the temple entrance. Go to the left into
the shallow water. Look for the white MAGIC PORTAL. Go to the top of the steps
and turn around. Walk along the edge to get to the CRYSTAL CHEST. Go down the
brazier-lit corridor and lift up the Heavy Door.

     [ ] Find another way to follow slaves

Go to the right and smash the CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Shoot any of the explosive
barrels to clear the rubble that's on top of the chain. Head over to the left
and use the winch to tighten the chain. This lifts up the large wooden beam.
Get both characters onto the beam and stand at opposite ends so the beam
balances. Then, simultaneously jump onto the stone walkways. There's nothing to
the left. Go straight to the upper level of the temple. Go to the right and
grab the Demon's Epic Shield on the wall (500 Durability, 16 Armor). Look for
the CRYSTAL SHARD POT by a pillar near the center. Approaching the middle
spawns some Wargar. Go up the steps in the middle to another wooden balancing
beam. Stand at each end and get onto the stone walkway. Fight your way to the
left to the bottom of the tall staircase. Go down the steps on the left to

     [ ] Killing Crows

Look for the four crows. The crows can be found to the right of the long
staircase by the stairs, in the tree with no leaves, on top of the pillar
that's to the right of the first balancing beam, and to the right of the second
balancing beam on a stone walkway. Shoot the four crows to collect the four
black feathers. Go to the left and go up the long set of stairs to the first
landing with the drafty wall. Have Caddoc push the wall.

Go into the tunnel and loot DRAGON TEAR #08/13, and the two TREASURE CHESTS
(400 GOLD in each). Go to the top of the stairs and lift the Heavy Door.

Go down the corridor to a wide hallway. There are three WEAPON RACKS in the
hallway. Kill the Wargar archers and crawlers. Make a left at the far end of
the hallway into another narrow corridor. Right before the Heavy Door there's
three WEAPON RACKS, skullpots, Regenerative Vials, and a Demon's Shield (500
Durability) on the wall. Through the Heavy Door we go.

     [X] Find another way to follow slaves

So, the Wargar are trading human prisoners to the Minotaur in exchange for
Sleg. Defeat the pair of Minotaurs. You can try to get the Minotaurs to charge
through the explosive barrels. There are two WEAPON RACKS on the lower level.
Go up the stairs and there's a pair of Demon Forged Shields (Durability 500),
another WEAPON RACK and a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Touch the magic portal for an
update from Seraphine.

You automatically move into the next area of the temple. Here you have to fight
a total of four Minotaurs, Wargar warriors, Wargar archers, and crawlers. Make
sure to destroy the white statue with explosive magic or trick a Minotaur into
charging into the statue. Breaking the statue is SECRET #24/32 and reveals a
CRYSTAL CHEST. There are three WEAPON RACKS in the area. Check the upper right
side for a Shield of Ohm (Durability 500). There's a pile of 25 GOLD in the
center of the round stone set in the ground in front of the two gates. Go
through either gate to the purple Obelisk and white MAGIC PORTAL.

Make your way into the collapsing hallway. There's one WEAPON RACK near the
start and another WEAPON RACK at the other end. Kill the Wargar archers. Check
out DEATHSTONE #26/53 for a LORE UPDATE. Go down the hallway to the WEAPON
RACK. Turn the corner for three more WEAPON RACKS, skullpots, a Demon's Epic
Shield, and a Shield of Ohm. There's a sack of 50 GOLD along with ammo and
Regenerative Vials. Lift the Heavy Door at the end of the hallway.

HTDF-3.5    Section 3.5 Temple Slope

Take control of one of the catapults and start firing downhill. Try not to let
any Minotaurs get to the top of the hill in a blind spot. Keep killing
minotaurs until the gate at the bottom of the hill opens. Look by the stairs by
the left catapult for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Go through the gate and squeeze
through the narrow gap.

Follow the path to DEATHSTONE #27/53 for a LORE UPDATE. Look to the left and
chop down the tall weeds. Go up onto the ledge for a pile of 25 GOLD and
DEATHSTONE #28/53 with a JOURNAL UPDATE on the Minotaur Juggernaut. Continue
all the path to the supply cache (three WEAPON RACKS, a Shield of Ohm,
skullpots, ammo).

Approach the structure on top of the hill.

     [ ] Defend the hill from the onslaught of Wargar and Minotaur

You start out on top of the hill by the SLEG VAT. Feel free to fight around the
bottom of the hill. There are four WEAPON RACKS and a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. You
will fight mostly Wargar Warriors, archers, an infected Wargar, a handful of
crawlers, and three or four Minotaurs. The gear gate opens once all the
Minotaurs are killed and you have to get past two Wargar Zealots and another
archer. Loot what you want and go through the gear gate. Proceed and jump over
the gap.

Purple Obelisk here for all your character changing needs. Check out the
plaque.

           Bow before the Eldest God, whose spark in you doth burn
           Breathe his might breath into his lesser kin in turn...

Have E'lara stand in front of the stone head. Order Caddoc to stand on the
square pressure plate to the right. Light an arrow. Light the mouth of the
stone head that's above and to the right. The next stone head is above and to
the left. The next stone head is to the right. The glow from that stone head
points to the one on th left. Turn around and the last stone head is on the
ground to the left. This illuminates a pushable wall for Caddoc on the right.
Inside you can find a Demon Forged Shield, a CRYSTAL CHEST, 120 GOLD in a
TREASURE CHEST, and DEATHSTONE #29/53 with a LORE UPDATE.
     [X] Hot Heads

Run down to the white MAGIC PORTAL along with three WEAPON RACKS, a pair of
Demon Forged Shields, skullpots, and ammo. Don't go through the Heavy Door.
Go through the short tunnel between the two stone heads and opposite from the
pushable wall. Break through the boards to enter:

Go down to the intersection with the skeleton. Go to the right to DEATHSTONE #
30/53. Turn around and look for an upward sloping tunnel on the left. Read the
book for a riddle

     [ ] Solve the riddle of the Watery Depths

Interact with the wall that's to the right of the skull of the skeleton on top
of the crypt. Loot the key from the chest. Go back to the starting intersection
and move away from the Deathstone corpse. Look for a tunnel on the right. Use
the key to unlock the gate.

Enter the room with the fountain. Go into the tunnel on the left and use the
winch on the stone column to shut off the fountain. Go back to the wooden
walkway and go to the brazier on the left. Light an arrow and shoot the wood in
the boat. This awakens the Ancient One.

     [ ] Solve the riddle of the Ancient One

Light an arrow and go into the newly opened tunnel on the left. Aim above the
stone column and light the brazier. One character has to stand on the pressure
plate on the right to raise the bridge. Cross the bridge and go to the left.
Use the lever to lock the bridge in place. Kill the skeletons. Turn the winch
on the stone column. This drains the water in the Ancient One's room.

Note the tapestries hanging on the walls. Light an arrow and light up the
tapestries. Behind two of the tapestries are hidden rooms. The one toward the
back of the room has a 400 GOLD TREASURE CHEST and a CRYSTAL CHEST. The secret
room by the bridge has an ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK and 400 GOLD in a TREASURE
CHEST.

Go back to the starting corridor and head toward the Deathstone corpse. Take
the tunnel on the left that leads down. Take the wooden ramp to the lowest
level of the well and squeeze through the crack in the wall.

There's an ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK, a pile of 25 GOLD, two CRYSTAL CHESTS, and a
TREASURE CHEST holding 900 GOLD. This solves PUZZLE #06/08. Go into the tunnel
on the left with the blue fungus. This leads to a wooden staircase. At the top
of the staircase is a CRYSTAL CHEST. Enter the candlelit tunnel. Lift the Heavy
Door to exit out by the purple Obelisk.

Boss fight time! The boss is a teleporter. She plants multiple head staffs
around the area. The head staffs attack with a projectile attack. Keep killing
the head staffs and the Boss will retrieve the remaining staff and begin
planting head staffs again. Watch out for her red projectile attack. She is
also quite fast and has a deadly melee attack, so keep your distance or keep
running away from her. There is a Demon's Epic Shield in the area. Killing the
boss takes you directly to Chapter 4.

There are two WEAPON RACKS on the left. Go to the end of the dock to see
dragons flying overhead. Hop off the end of the dock and head up the stairs. Go
to the purple Obelisk. Go to the left around the wall and break the wooden
boards. Go to the left and check out the Plaque. Go to the left and jump off
the edge to SECRET #25/32 and loot the CRYSTAL CHEST.

Circle around and return to the plaque. Go right into the courtyard. Kill the
skeletons. There are two pressure plates on the ground to light the brazier.
Light an arrow. There are three sets of braziers around the courtyard. Light
the upper braziers. Have Caddoc push the lower braziers under the lit braziers.
This opens up the entrance behind the brazier. Jump in.

Go to the brazier and light an arrow. Go down the ramp and light the brazier on
the central island to raise a path. Move to the central island. Turn so you're
facing the entrance. There's a brazier on the wall to the left. Light that
brazier. Follow the new path to the left along the wall. Look to the left and
shoot the brazier by the column. Return to the central island and take the new
path.

This leads to a crypt with a WEAPON RACK. Go to the far end and open the chest.
This awakens the giant skeleton. Kill the giant skeleton and loot the YELLOW
SPHERE. Clean up the area and go to the Ancient One. The Ancient One speaks
another rhyme, then opens. You get two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS and a TREASURE
CHEST with 500 GOLD for solving PUZZLE #07/08. Go back to the central island
and exit by lifting the Heavy Door.

DEATHSTONE #31/53 is right in front of you with the JOURNAL UPDATE on the
Kingdom of Llyr. Climb up the steps and kill the Wargar patrol. There's a
TREASURE CHEST with 160 GOLD on the right and a white MAGIC PORTAL on the left.
Go up the steps into the room on the left for DEATHSTONE #32/53 with the
Harridan JOURNAL UPDATE. Exit that room and go to the left. Go through the hole
in the wall to another area. Go to the left and pick up the sack of 70 GOLD. If
you go to the right it goes back to the purple Obelisk. Instead, return to the
area with the white Magic Portal and lift up the Heavy Door.

Lift up the Heavy Door.

Kill the Wargar in the courtyard. There's a Regenerative Vial if you duck
around the corner to the right. Inside the lower level of the building are two
WEAPON RACKS on the left.

Exit the building by going to the right through the broken wall. Watch the
pretty dragon for a LORE UPDATE. Kill the Wargar. A Minotaur breaks through the
wall. Watch out for Wargar snipers on the upper levels of the buildings around
the courtyard. Kill the Minotaur. Go up the steps for DEATHSTONE #33/53. Go
toward the broken wall and another wall breaks revealing a staircase.

Go to the left and talk to the skull set in the fireplace.

     [ ] ...bring me my bones, I can be free

So we need a ribcage, a pelvis, and two legs bones. Look to the right of the
stairs for the ribcage. Look beyond the chicken for one of th the leg bones
across from the overturned wagon. Go back out into the courtyard and go to the
left for the other leg bones. Go to the corner near the Deathstone corpse for
the pelvis. Return and talk to the fireplace skull. Light an arrow with the
green flame. Go up the stairs. Look down through the upper floor. There's a
skull fireplace on the other side. Shoot the green fire at the wood in the
second fireplace to open a secret wall.

Go back down and enter the secret room. There are two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS
and two CRYSTAL CHESTS. Talk to the second skull fireplace.

     [ ] ...kept his greatest treasure hidden behind his black heart

Go outside and go left toward the chicken. Look to the left and there's a black
heart shield on the wall. Take cover and jump over the low wall to get into
that room. Have Caddoc push the wall with the black heart shield. Pick up
DRAGON TEAR #09/13. Go back to the upper level and squeeze through the broken
wall.

Go through the doorway and fight the Wargars. Watch out for the archers on the
upper level to the left. There are two WEAPON RACKS by the room behind the
stairs. Go upstairs. Look for the TREASURE CHEST on the left. SPRINT to the
treasure chest. Otherwise, the floor collapses beneath you and you'll be unable
to loot the 500 GOLD in the chest. Drop back down to the lower level and make
your way upstairs again. Go to the far wall and drop down to the lower level.

This drops you down on the other side of the burning debris. Drop down a second
time. Fight off the crawlers. Exit the basement by going up the wooden ramp.
The barriers get blasted out of your way. Outside a giant floating eyeball
summons two infected Wargar. That trio is followed by a Harridan. After the
Harridan is killed, go into the building on the left and free PRISONER #28/32.
Next to the prisoner is a WEAPON RACK. You can check out the dragon corpse and
the raving lunatic. The exit is through the Heavy Door to the right of the
prisoner.

HTDF-4.3    Section 4.3 Arches of Fire

Go up the stairs and duck through the hole in the wall. Drop down a couple
times to the ground level. The next courtyard has Wargar and a Minotaur.

     [ ] Ambush the fighting Wargar and Minotaur

There is also a wooden walkway. You can lure the Minotaur into breaking the
supports holding up the walkway. Shoot the yellow explosive barrels to break
down the weakened wall. Collect the CRYSTAL CHEST and there might be a WEAPON
RACK. In the room behind the wooden walkway is a WEAPON RACK. Climb up the
debris in the back of that room and jump over the gap.

Drop down into a room with four columns. Kill the Minotaur and the Wargar.
Watch out for the archers on the upper floor of the building at the far side of
the courtyard. Go into the small room for a pile of 30 GOLD and DEATHSTONE #
34/53. Go out into the courtyard and another group of Wargar attack. The
infected Wargar like to teleport to the upper level of the building. Check out
the Ogre, a super-sized Wargar. That looks fun. Loot the 500 GOLD TREASURE
CHEST on the left by the opened gate. Go through the gate.

Go to the left for a CRYSTAL CHEST in the dead end at SECRET #26/32. Go the
other way and around the corner. Walk over the wooden beam. Check out the dead
dragon below. Exit the building and you arrive at the Scarlet Maid.

Turn around and go back to the alcove for a TREASURE CHEST with 160 GOLD and
DEATHSTONE #35/53. You get the Archghoul JOURNAL UPDATE. Enter the Scarlet Maid
and kill the Wargar  and Minotaur. Check out DEATHSTONE #36/54 across from the
bottom of the stairs for a new objective.

Look for the three scarlet urns. The first one is across from the corpse on a
shelf by the fireplace. The second can be found underneath the stairs. The
third urn is in the corner on the right near the entrance. Go back to the
fireplace near the corpse and light an arrow. Go to the right to the tapestry
of the Scarlet Maid and shoot that tapestry with a lit arrow. Wait, and SECRET
#27/32 will be revealed. Loot the two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS and DRAGON TEAR #
10/13. Move up to the second floor.

Watch the ogre. Kill the Wargar on the second floor. Look around the waterfall
for a sack of 70 GOLD. The next floor is empty so head straight up the stairs
to the fourth floor. Kill the Zealot. Follow the path and drop down. Kill the
last Wargar.
     [X] Fight your way up to the roof of the Scarlet Maid

Go around the corner and PRISONER #29/32 gives you the Dark Tribe JOURNAL
UPDATE. Go through the doorway on the right and climb over the debris. Squeeze
past the wreckage. Drop down on the left.

Head to the left. Keep sprinting along the aqueduct to avoid the catapult fire.

Pick your way through the rubble to the corner. Drop down one floor and end up
next to a fireplace. Make your way outside. Kill the Wargar and Minotaur. Watch
out for the archers on the upper levels of the surrounding buildings. Don't let
the Infected Wargar teleport behind you if you're staying behind cover. Move up
past the cover and look to the right for DEATHSTONE #37/53 and a LORE UPDATE.
Up ahead on the left are two WEAPON RACKS and PRISONER #30/32.

Go through the arch and down the stairs. Read the Plaque.

     [ ] Secret behind the soldier who always watches the sea

Follow the path to the right for a cutscene. You learn from the King of Llyr
that the Big Bad is named Annuvin, who was sent to kill a dragon using Llyr's
Death Stone, but ended up gathering an army of Wargar, Minotaur, and other evil
creatures at Kala Moor and is now attacking cities along the river. Geselle,
the Lord Mayor's daughter, is an ordinary woman who looks nothing like
Seraphine. Caddoc just wants to deliver Geselle safely back Dyfed. E'lara wants
to prevent another genocide. This gives you a JOURNAL UPDATE on the King of
Llyr and a LORE UPDATE.

     [ ] Overthrow the tyrant Annuvin and rescue the enslaved masses
     [ ] Find Transport to Kala Moor

     "Slow Boat to Kala Moor"

Go to the top of the stairs. Have Caddoc push the wall on the right. This gives
you access to a room with a sack of 70 GOLD. Move back up to the docks and go
straight to the TREASURE CHEST with 160 GOLD. Drop down to the left. Move out
into the courtyard. Kill the archers. To the right are a couple of WEAPON RACKS
by the wall segment. Beyond the wall segment is a mounted rapid-fire gun. Stay
behind cover and take out that Wargar. Turn around and head toward the
aqueduct. Go to the right and free PRISONER #31/32. Move up to the mounted gun.
Kill the Wargar. Watch out for the Infected Wargar and the Wargar that comes
from behind the mounted gun through the gate.

Loot the CRYSTAL CHEST on the beach. Above the chest is an unlit brazier. Light
an arrow and light the brazier. A spirit brings you a Shield of Ohm.

Go through the gate for a cutscene with Seraphine.

HTDF-4.6    Section 4.6 The Library

She leaves a white MAGIC PORTAL behind by the purple Obelisk. Check out
DEATHSTONE #38/53 by the Obelisk for a LORE UPDATE. If you go up the stairs</pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
there's a CRYSTAL CHEST. It is strongly recommended that you max out Dragon's
Breath for both characters and make sure Dragon's Breath is assigned to a
Battle Magic slot. Go up the stairs through the building. Head out into the
courtyard to begin the Boss fight.

     [ ] Defeat the demon

The Archghoul begins surrounded by a red shield. You have to dispel the shield
by destroying the black floating corpses around the Archghoul. Dragon's Breath
does the most damage to the Archghoul. The Archghoul casts a red Sigil of Pain.
Don't stand in the red sigil. The Archghoul also casts a red Wind of Wrath AOE
that it starts by gathering red energy over its head. The Archghoul uses a
projectile attack and an area of effect melee attack with knockdown as its
basic attacks. Skeletons will start to appear after taking down the Archghoul's
shield a couple times, or maybe it's triggered by how much damage it has taken.
Kill the skeletons to keep yourself supplied with mana and health potions.
There is at least one Regenerative Vial in the area.

Take cover and destroy the corpses when the Archghoul's shields are up.
E'lara's Improved Pyre Blast destroys all the corpses with one hit. Avoid the
projectile, melee, and special AOE attacks. Use Dragon's Breath as much as
possible. Try Battle Charging each other with Dragon's Breath and use melee
attacks. Don't worry too much about the skeletons since they are there to drop
items for you. Reduce the Archghoul to zero health to send it back to hell.

You start out by a purple Obelisk and a white MAGIC PORTAL. The third tier of
magic is now unlocked so upgrade your commonly used magic. Squeeze through the
hole in the wall.

Fight the Wargar in the forest clearing. The final foe is a Minotaur.
Immediately to the right of the hole in the wall is a ramp that goes up to the
tree bridge. Cross that to get to the WEAPON RACK and a pile of 35 GOLD. Exit
the clearing by taking the path to the right of one of the stone heads.

In the next clearing there are some crude fortifications on the left. Kill the
Wargar, including any archers on the upper level. Go under the fortifications
on the left to DEATHSTONE #39/53 for the Eye of Annuvin JOURNAL UPDATE. Go up
the ramp to the upper level. There's a Sleg Shield (Durability 600) and three
WEAPON RACKS that drop Tier 4 items.

Take control of the machine gun. Kill the Wargar. Watch out for the archers
that jump off the sides and use the cover below the fortification. There are
many Zealots so try to use the machine gun to kill them all. After all the
Wargar are killed there's a wave of crawlers with a couple of Minotaurs.

To the right of the machinegun is a tree bridge. Cross over to loot the 500
GOLD in the TREASURE CHEST. Drop down and loot the two CRYSTAL CHESTS under the
bridge. Go up the short drawbridge and smash some skullpots and pick up some
ammo. Follow the path and DEATHSTONE #40/53 is on the left. Jump over the gap.

There's a WEAPON RACK and some ammo. The path leads to a large clearing. In the
center of the clearing is a SLEG VAT. There's a Hardened Sleg Shield near a
tree stump before the SLEG VAT. There is a WEAPON RACK on either side of the
gate and another Hardened Sleg Shield near the gate.

Kill the Wargar and Minotaur. The enemy waves get progressively harder. After
the Blastcasters, a Ghoul arrives with about a dozen Zealots. The Ghoul has all
the same attacks as the Archghoul, but does not have the shield. A pair of
Minotaurs show up after the Zealots. A final pair of Zealots come out of the
fort. Go into the area before the Heavy Door and loot the two CRYSTAL CHESTS.
There might be another WEAPON RACK. DEATHSTONE #41/53 is to the right and gives
a LORE UPDATE. Lift the Heavy Door to enter the next area.

HTDF-5.2    Section 5.2 Quarry

     [ ] Cross the quarry

You start out by a purple Obelisk and down the tunnel is a white MAGIC PORTAL.
The tunnel exits to a quarry. There are some skullpots and a WEAPON RACK. Go to
the left to the TREASURE CHEST with 180 GOLD. Go to the right and carefully
walk along the ledge.

Fight your way around the molten pit past the Wargar, Wargar archers, an
Infected Wargar, and a Minotaur. Go up the wooden ramp and through the tunnel
to a WEAPON RACK on the right. Outside on a wooden walkway are two CRYSTAL
SHARD POTS and a CRYSTAL CHEST. DEATHSTONE #42/53 is next to the chest. Go to
the left and follow the wooden walkway to another ramp. Go through the doorway
on the left and up the ramp to another WEAPON RACK. Go outside to a supply
cache with skullpots, a WEAPON RACK, an Insulated Sleg Shield on the ground and
an Ancient Sleg Shield on the wall. Go to the left and go through the doorway.
The path leads to a CRYSTAL CHEST an a TREASURE CHEST with 500 GOLD. Return to
the supply cache area and lift the Heavy Door on the right.

You end up outside on a huge platform guarded by a Harridan supported by
archers and a couple of Zealots. Kill all the enemies. Go up the ramps on the
other side and go through the doorway on the left. Squeeze underneath the
wooden beams.

Go straight and around the corner to the right for a CRYSTAL SHARD POT and a
pile of 35 GOLD. Go back to the wooden beams and go through the doorway and
down the ramp. Lift the Heavy Door.

Go down to the bottom of the ramp to the WEAPON RACK. Go to the left. There's a
Hardened Sleg Shield on the wall, a CRYSTAL SHARD POT, and 180 GOLD in a wooden
chest. Take a peek outside and watch the Ogre walking around.

Kill the Wargar archers and the Eyes of Annuvin before going outside. Snipe
from the top of the ramp. Kill the ballista operator and the Infected Wargar.
Go down the ramp and hop off the ledge. Head to the WEAPON RACK on the right.

Fight off a huge wave of crawlers. Loot the CRYSTAL SHARD POT on the left.
Shoot the explosive barrel to uncover SECRET #28/32. There's an ENCHANTED
WEAPON RACK and a CRYSTAL CHEST to loot. Go up either ramp and go to the left.
Watch out for the poison arrow trap. Hop off the ledge and break the WEAPON
RACK in the corner.

The next room is full of skeletons, skeleton archers and crawlers. There's a
WEAPON RACK and CRYSTAL SHARD POT on the left. DEATHSTONE #44/53 is on the
right. Lift the Heavy Door to exit the room.

Go down the passage. There's a Sleg Shield on the floor and a WEAPON RACK to
the right. Kill the crawlers. Go down into the water and go to the right. Shoot
the WEAPON RACK and the explosive barrel. Go into SECRET #29/32 with an
ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK, CRYSTAL CHEST and a sack of 70 GOLD. Go up the short
ramp and go to the left. Lift the Heavy Door.

Aim up and shoot one of the explosive barrels. Go up the newly made ramp and
free PRISONER #32/32. There's a WEAPON RACK, skullpots, a Sleg Shield, and a
TREASURE CHEST with 180 GOLD. Squeeze through the hole on the left.

     [ ] Fight your way to the top of the walls

Kill the Wargar archers and Minotaurs. Go to the right. There's a WEAPON RACK.
Go around the corner and kill more Wargar and another Minotaur. Check by the
ramps on the left for another WEAPON RACK. Go forward and go up the ramp and
through the gate. Continue fighting your way through the corridor and go up a
short ramp. There's a WEAPON RACK, a Sleg Shield, and some supplies. Lift the
Heavy Door.

Fight your way outside. Watch out for the archers. Take a left. The boards
collapse in front of you, so go up the ramp on the right. Go up the next ramp.
Kill the Wargar Blastcasters and melee. Go back to the top of the ramp by the
drafty wall and have Caddoc push it aside. Shoot the explosive barrels. Go down
the makeshift ramp to SECRET #30/32. There's two CRYSTAL CHESTS, an ENCHANTED
WEAPON RACK, three WEAPON RACKS, and DRAGON TEAR #11/13. Go up the ramp and
make your way around the construction past two more WEAPON RACKS to another
wooden ramp going up. Go to the top of the ramp for a cutscene.

HTDF-5.4    Section 5.4 Bridges

     "Inner Defenses"
     [ ] Conquer the wall defenses

Just like at the start of every area, there's a purple Obelisk and a white
MAGIC PORTAL. You get a LORE UPDATE. There's also a WEAPON RACK, skullpots, and
ammo at the end of the bridge. Crawl under the fallen pillar on the left.

Things start out right away with two Minotaur and a bunch of archers. At the
edge are two WEAPON RACKS. Go through the large arch and go to the right. Jump
over the gap.

At the bottom of the stairs is a Sleg Shield. Watch a bunch of enemies below
you. Go down the stairs and drop off the ledge.

     [ ] Get to the intact bridge

There are some skullpots, a quiver, and a WEAPON RACK. Go down to the bottom of
the stairs. A large group of archers and melee Wargar attack. Look by the
bottom of the stairs for two CRYSTAL SHARD POTS. Go to the edge and there's a
sack of 70 GOLD and a WEAPON RACK. Go to the right all the way to the wall and
turn to the right. DEATHSTONE #45/53 is an alcove and gives you the Juggernaut
Elite JOURNAL UPDATE. Turn around and go to the left of the blocked staircase.
Another group of Wargar attack. Watch out for the Blastcasters on the left. Go
to the other end of the area and go to the left edge for a Hardened Sleg
Shield.

The Heavy Door has a gate blocking it. Stand on the pressure plate to slowly
raise the gate. This triggers another group of Wargar and a Juggernaut Elite.
Don't worry about staying on the pressure plate. Fight and loot. Stand on the
pressure plate until the gate is out of the way. Lift the Heavy Door.

Check out the area to the left. There's a WEAPON RACK, skull pots, Regenerative
Vials, and ammo. Out on the ledge is a CRYSTAL SHARD POT and a TREASURE CHEST
with 1,300 GOLD. Go up the stairs to fight some Zealots and Blastcasters. Go to
the wall on the left and go down the stairs to loot a CRYSTAL CHEST. Cross the
intact bridge and lift the Heavy Door.

This looks like the beginning of a sub chapter with a purple Obelisk and white
MAGIC PORTAL. Go up the stairs on the right for a WEAPON RACK. Lift the Heavy
Door at the top of the stairs.

You end up in a small courtyard with Blastcasters, a Minotaur, a Juggernaut
Elite, a Zealot, and some other Wargar. There are two WEAPON RACKS on the
stairs. Go up the stairs and through the doorway. There's another WEAPON RACK.
Check out DEATHSTONE #46/53 for a LORE UPDATE. Go up the next set of stairs. At
the top there's a Sleg Shield. Lift the Heavy Door.

Fight your way along the outside. If you go down the stairs, there's a CRYSTAL
SHARD POT at the bottom. Turn the corner and fight your way to the gate. Watch
out for the machinegun. Kill the machinegun operator. There's a WEAPON RACK to
the right of the gate. In front of the machinegun is an Ancient Sleg Shield.
Take control of the machinegun and kill all the enemies.

Go back to the gate in front of the machinegun. Look to the left and you should
see a sack of gold. Drop down and loot the 70 GOLD. Follow the wooden walkway
to DRAGON TEAR #12/13. Drop down and loot the ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK. Go up the
stairs and go to the left. Lift up the Heavy Door.

You're above a courtyard. You can kill numerous archers that run through the
courtyard. Follow the path and drop down the hole in the floor. Squeeze through
the hole in the wall.

You enter a ruined cathedral. The first enemy is a Harridan. After she is
killed, the Wargar and Juggernaut Elites show up. There are some archers
outside the cathedral. There are two WEAPON RACKS and some skullpots scattered
around the inside of the cathedral. There's a pile of 35 GOLD close to
DEATHSTONE #47/53. You get the Blind Dragon JOURNAL UPDATE. Exit the cathedral
and you're in the lower courtyard. There's a WEAPON RACK on the left. Go to the
right and in the next room are two CRYSTAL SHARD POTS. Start down the tunnel
and you fall through some rotted timber.

You end up in a chamber with a huge number of crawlers. A Ghoul also shows up.
There are two WEAPON RACKS in the chamber along with a Hardened Sleg Shield.
Kill all the enemies. Lift the Heavy Door to exit the chamber.

You meet up with a guy with no pants who gives you a LORE UPDATE. Loot the
TREASURE CHEST for 500 GOLD. Climb the large spiral staircase. DEATHSTONE #
48/53 is in the tunnel with a LORE UPDATE. The next room has two Ancient Sleg
Shields, a purple Obelisk, a white MAGIC PORTAL, skullpots, and Regenerative
Vials. Lift the Heavy Door.

You end up in a corridor with a SLEG VAT. Kill the Wargar fighters, archers,
and Minotaurs. Follow the corridor to the stairs. The lower corridor is guarded
by two Juggernaut Elites and two Infected Wargar. There's an Ancient Sleg
Shield in front of the Heavy Door. Stand on the pressure plate to raise the
gate blocking the Heavy Door. This triggers a Wargar attack. Kill the Wargar.
Lift the Heavy Door to start the Boss fight.

     "The Pit"

     [ ] Turn the enemies' weapons against the dragon

You're outside. There are two WEAPON RACKS and supplies. The Blind Dragon flies
in and starts attacking. Skeletons start spawning. Go down the stairs. There is
a TREASURE CHEST with 500 GOLD at the far end of the lower area. Make sure to
loot the chest before killing the boss. There are is a ballista on each sidex
on either side. Attack the Blind Dragon with the ballistas while the other
character keeps the skeletons down. The Blind Dragon changes position, so be
prepared to change ballistas so you can keep attacking it. Try to kill the
Blind Dragon before the Dreads show up. You knock the Blind Dragon into The
Pit.

You get the Kala Moor JOURNAL UPDATE and a LORE UPDATE. Claim the two CRYSTAL
CHESTS next to the dragon's corpse. There's a purple Obelisk and a white MAGIC
PORTAL. Head down the hill to the bridge. An Infected Wargar sounds the alarm.
A dragon strafes the bridge. A Juggernaut Elite and some Wargar show up. Fight
your way across the bridge and kill more Wargar. Don't worry about the dragon
flying around. There's an Insulated Sleg Shield near the bridge's watchtower.
Head toward the gate. Before you pass between the torches, go to the left for a
CRYSTAL CHEST, skullpots, and DEATHSTONE #49/53 with a LORE UPDATE. Enter Kala
Moor. The way behind you becomes blocked.

Take the path on the left. This leads to the Ancient One. You must have all
three of the spheres looted from the giant skeletons. Check out the book on the
left for a riddle. There's a purple Obelisk if you want to switch things up. Go
into the next chamber.

There's two columns, two suspended shields, and two stone heads. Have Caddoc
push the column on the right. Shoot one of the ropes holding the right shield
in place. This ignites the brazier. Have E'lara line up a shot through the
flames into the mouth of the stone head. This moves a bridge segment into
place.

Look for a round pressure plate on the ground. There's one to the left of the
left column. The other pressure plate is on the right side of the doorway that
leads to the bridge, near the right column. This lights the left brazier.
Again, have E'lara shoot an arrow through the flames to ignite the left stone
head. This moves the missing bridge segment into place.

Go straight across the bridge and enter the crypt. The tomb rises and you have
to fight the Giant Skeleton and his skeleton minions. Be sure to loot the tiny
bone that the Giant Skeleton drops once he has been destroyed. Exit the crypt
and go to the door on the left. Use the bone to open/lower the door to the
treasure room. There's three CRYSTAL CHESTS, two piles of 40 GOLD, and three
TREASURE CHESTS (220 GOLD, 650 GOLD and 1,600 GOLD). There's also The Crystal
Bow and The Crystal Sword by one of the statues. This finishes up PUZZLE #
08/08. Return to the fork in the path by the entrance and go through the gate.
Squeeze under the broken gate.

The next room is lined with cages. Kill the Wargar and Minotaur. There's some
skullpots and a WEAPON RACK. After all the enemies are dead, check out
DEATHSTONE #50/53 in the corner opposite where you entered the room.  You get a
LORE UPDATE. Head down to the other end of the room and squeeze under the
crooked gate.

     [ ] And Then There Were None
     [ ] Investigate the fate of the missing slaves

The next room is full of empty slave pens and enemies. There's a pair of
Juggernaut Elites, a pair of Infected Wargar, and some archers on top of the
cages. You can get on top of the cages nearest the entrance via the ramp, but
watch out for Infected Wargar teleporting right on top of you. There's also one
WEAPON RACK and some skullpots. In between a couple of cages is a CRYSTAL SHARD
POT. Stand on the large elevator platform in the center of the room. You have
to check out the fountain of Sleg in the middle of the platform to continue,
but you don't actually drink the Sleg.

Watch the cutscene as you descend. You end up in another room full of cages.

HTDF-6.2    Section 6.2 Lower Holding Pens

     Secret 31

There's the infamous purple Obelisk and white MAGIC PORTAL. There's a WEAPON
RACK and numerous skullpots. Squeeze through the narrow gap in the wall.

Check out the Ogre. An Infected Wargar on a watchtower uses a signal horn to
summon reinforcements. Kill the enemies (a couple of Juggernaut Elites, Wargar
fighters, archers, etc). Before going up the ramp, go to the left for a CRYSTAL
SHARD POT. Go up onto the bridge. Fight your past the enemies to the other end
of the bridge. There's a WEAPON RACK to the left.

Go to the right and stay on the right side of the ramp. There's a Sleg Shield
hanging on the wall next to a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Continue along the side of the
large ramp and go up the smaller ramp on the right. Follow the path down the
wooden ramp to an ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK. There's also a side path that takes
you behind the construction. This is SECRET #31/32 with an ENCHANTED WEAPON
RACK, a CRYSTAL CHEST and a pile of 40 GOLD. Backtrack and climb up the large
ramp to a cutscene.

This gets you a LORE UPDATE. Travel through the tunnel to the large cavern. Go
to the right and around the corner to a TREASURE CHEST with 220 GOLD. Let the
fighting begin! Start of with a couple of Zealots. This is followed by some
archers, an Eye of Annuvin, and some Wargar fighters. The dragon might harass
you a little bit. Travel to the far end of the path and there's a CRYSTAL SHARD
PATH. Go up the steps into the side tunnel and drop down off the short ledge.

HTDF-6.3    Section 6.3 Elevator Pens

You end up in a resupply area with a purple Obelisk, white MAGIC PORTAL,
skullpots, and two WEAPON RACKS. Squeeze through the rocks to continue.

You immediately get swarmed by Wargars. There are archers in the watchtowers.
An Archghoul shows up with shields on full. Charge up Dragon's Breath and take
out the Archghoul. There's a WEAPON RACK on the right. In the far left area
there is a downward slope that leads to a CRYSTAL SHARD POT. Light an arrow and
go through the gap in the rocks. Light the brazier being held in the jaws of
the dragon skull. Have Caddoc go around and push over the dark colored rocks.
This gets you access to SECRET #32/32 with a Hardened Sleg Shield, a sack of 90
GOLD, and DRAGON TEAR #13/13. Get on the elevator platform and play with the
Sleg Fountain to descend.

Smash the skullpots as you head into the open area. This area is guarded by a
Harridan supported by Wargar fighters. Take a hard right from the entrance for
an Insulated Sleg Shield. Destroy the two explosive barrels on the right to
reveal a TREASURE CHEST with 650 GOLD. Go around the watchtower on the right
and go into the tunnel. There's some skullpots, a purple Obelisk, a white MAGIC
PORTAL, more skullpots. Squeeze through the rocks.

Go down the tunnel into a small chamber. Take control of the machinegun and
kill the enemies. There are lots of Wargar fighters and Juggernaut Elites.
There's a CRYSTAL SHARD POT mixed in with the skullpots in the chamber. Go
outside and go the left to DEATHSTONE #51/53 and a LORE UPDATE. Go the other
way and carefully walk along the very narrow ledge.

HTDF-6.4    Section 6.4 Depths

Obelisk and MAGIC PORTAL. Go down the path and drop off the ledge.

     "Sleg is People"

There's a Hardened Sleg Shield on the wall to the left. Kill the Wargar coming
from the right. Head toward the fallen watchtower. There's a WEAPON RACK and a
CRYSTAL SHARD POT to the right. Go to the left and kill the Juggernaut Elite
and archers. Fight your way across the bridge. There's a pile of 40 GOLD on the
left at the other end of the bridge. Loot the ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK. Watch out
for the dragon. Check out the short side path on the right for a CRYSTAL SHARD
POT. Duck into the covered area on the left. Turn around for a CRYSTAL SHARD
POT. Fight your way past the Zealots. Loot the ENCHANTED WEAPON RACK on the
right. Drop off the ledge into a room with lots of explosive barrels and a SLEG
VAT.

Fight the mix of Zealots and archers. Things quickly escalate as multiple
Juggernaut Elites and more Wargar fighters show up. Kill all the enemies. Go
downhill to another Obelisk/MAGIC PORTAL area. One TREASURE CHEST with 650
GOLD. Two CRYSTAL CHESTS. Skullpots. Go all the way downhill and squeeze
through the crack in the wall.

Move out onto the bridge and take cover from the archers. There's an archer in
the left watchtower. Cross the bridge and follow the passage to the set of
large doors. Cue a brief cutscene.

HTDF-6.5    Section 6.5 Dungeons

You end up in a large vaulted hall with the obligatory purple Obelisk and white
MAGIC PORTAL. This is your last chance to switch characters before the final
Boss fight. There are two CRYSTAL CHESTS and numerous skullpots. Check out the
dragon's skull on the right for DEATHSTONE #52/53 and a LORE UPDATE. Squeeze
through the rocks.

     "Heart of Evil"
     [ ] Slay Annuvin's hordes as you battle to his inner sanctum
     [ ] Overthrow the tyrant Annuvin
     [ ]  Destroy Annuvin's minions in the Heart of Evil

Fight a bunch of Wargar: a couple of Infected, fighters, and archers. There's
skullpots and two WEAPON RACKS on the left. Go down the short, twisty hallway
to a very large room with a high, vaulted ceiling.

There are two ENCHANTED WEAPON RACKS, on either side of the entrance. And
skullpots. Go down the steps into the large central room. Kill the Zealots and
Infected Wargar. An Archghoul shows up. Killing the Archghoul opens up one of
the gates by the entrance to the room. There is one CRYSTAL SHARD POT in the
circular section of the room. Go up the steps and through the newly opened gate
on the left.

There's a CRYSTAL SHARD POT on the left near the railing. Further up on ahead
is a WEAPON RACK, a doorway, skullpots, and another WEAPON RACK. Hanging on
either side of the doorway are a Hardened Sleg Shield and an Insulated Sleg
Shield. Opposite from the doorway is DEATHSTONE #53/53 with a LORE UPDATE. Go
down the stairs into the green glowing passage to the Final Boss.

HTDF-6.6    Section 6.6 The Forge
___________________________________

Okay...where has E'lara been keeping the Deathstone the entire time?!?
Annuvin takes a dip in the Sleg Pool and comes out Ogre-size.

     "Corrupted"

There's a Hardened Sleg Shield right in front of Annuvin and an Insulated Sleg
Shield on the right by the cover. Annuvin continuously summons Skeletons during
the fight. Annuvin has three attacks. The first is spitting Sleg around you.
The Sleg explodes after a few seconds, like Brimstone. Try to sprint away from
spit Sleg to avoid the damage. The second attack is a shockwave when Annuvin
scoops up some Sleg in each hand and slams his hands together. You can avoid
the shockwave by being behind cover or behind one of the four pillars. The
third attack is a projectile attack in the form of flying, ghostly skulls. Just
avoid the projectiles.

Each of the pillars is a quarter of Annuvin's health. Each time you knock off
at least a quarter of Annuvin's health, he uses a random Sleg pillar to
regenerate. Annuvin regenerates after losing 25% health when all four pillars
are standing. He regenerates at 50% health when there are three pillars, at 25%
health with two pillars, and just before dying with just one pillar standing.

Caddoc has to push over the pillar Annuvin is using to prevent Annuvin from
healing. Look for the pillar that is glowing brighter than the other pillars.
E'lara should destroy any skeletons attacking Caddoc while he is pushing over a
pillar. If Caddoc is in the clear, keep attacking Annuvin with E'lara to keep
Annuvin's health down and prolong the time he takes to regenerate. You have to
push over all four pillars so you can kill Annuvin.

Caddoc should focus on killing the skeletons and pushing over the Sleg pillars.
E'lara must hit Annuvin in his chest to damage him. Use Pyre Blast or Arctic
Arrow with a high damage bow to maximize the damage. Use Battle Charge and
Spell Link to make things easier. Use the items dropped by the Skeletons to
stay alive. Skeletons tend to drop a lot of mana vials.

After finishing the game, go into Adventure mode from the main menu. Press F1
to start a new game in Adventure+ mode. This clears all your progress (Dragon
Tears, Prisoners, Secrets, Deathstones), but unlocks the Old School difficulty.
You also start with 32 Crystals (may be any unused Crystals you had from the
previous complete playthrough) and keep any Gold you've accumulated. Caddoc
starts with The Crystal Sword and E'lara starts with The Crystal Bow.

     This arrow explodes on contact, damaging nearby enemies and knocking
     them to the ground.

           - Advanced Efficiency
           - Advanced Damage

Master Pyre Blast
     This arrow does even more damager over a very large area

     An arrow encased in ice that slows enemy movement and attacks and
     can freeze some enemies solid.
           - Improved Duration

Improved Arctic Arrow
     All slowing and freezing is improved and now will affect nearby enemies
           - Advanced Radius
           - Advanced Efficiency
           - Advanced Damage

Master Arctic Arrow
     This arrow has an even greater freezing, slowing and damaging effect
     over a very large area.

     This is an armor piercing arrow that can often destroy a shield
     in a single shot
           - Improved Efficiency
           - Improved Shatter
           - Improved Damage

Improved Arcane Burst
     This arrow deals even more damage and has a higher chance of
     instantly destroying a shield
           - Advanced Efficiency
           - Advanced Shatter
           - Advanced Damage

Arcane Burst Mastery
     A truly devastating arrow that will often shatter a shield
     immediately
