I. CONTROLS [CNTR]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Controls are standard point-and-click fare. Click on any empty part of the
screen to maneuver Duke to that location. Selecting NPCs and objects gives an
expanded option roster to eat/talk, inspect visually, or grab/punch. This can
lead to odd situations, such as talking to inanimate objects.
Sometimes, items or representations of skills/ideas will appear in Duke's
inventory. Depending on settings, this is accessed by right-clicking or via
an on-screen icon in the lower-left corner. To use an item on the field, pick
it from the inventory screen, "grab" it, drag it out of the window, and plop
it down on the target. (Similarly, combining items works the same, only there
is no need to leave the inventory screen.)
Other things worth noting:
• To save the game, toggle the main menu using the Escape button. The game
will also autosave at times.
• Double-clicking a screen exit warps Duke over to it and starts a transfer.
Use this frequently, as Duke usually moves slower as molassas.
• Most of the achievements in this game are mandatory. A few can escape one's
notice, though -- these are marked clearly in the walkthrough.

II. WALKTHROUGH [WLKT]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Duke Grabowski is a short adventure centered around the titular character
rising to become his ship's captain. To do this, he must explore Bodacious
Bay and woo three ladies. (I highly suggest exploring a bit to know where the
town areas are, as all will be visited.)
These can be done in a different order, but my way will likely be quicker.
Duke begins in the firehouse area.

Sobering Loss. To do this, players must fight Queenie before putting fizzy
fruit in her food crate (which puts her in a stupor).

V. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [FAQZ]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
[Q] - Why can't I break the bridge supports?
[A] - Duke needs a certain dialogue tip-off from the fire chief, and that
option only appears after picking a certain option in Bob the Bouncer's
dialogue tree. Afterwards, the description becomes "load-bearing beams"
and they can be smashed normally.
[Q] - How do I get the sheriff out of the office?
[A] - Hatch a plan with Sweet T, then cause a disturbance at the inn. This
requires speaking to the annoying twosome (Larry/Dave) until Ben gets
fed up and calls for help.
[Q] - Why won't the jaguar appear?
[A] - He needs to be lured with the monkeys' scent. Try punching the monkeys
first; they'll clobber Duke and get their stink on 'im.
[Q] - Is this game worth buying?
[A] - It's not too shabby, honestly. The interface could use a little work,
but the main problem is its length -- too damn short to really make a
huge impression. Still, it's often on sale for $0.99 or something, so
it can be useful to kill a few hours.
