O/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/O
What is the Ancient Cave, you ask?
The Ancient Cave is in every Lufia game. It consists of many floors,
each of which randomly change each time you enter them. In this game,
there are 60 floors. You can only use Eldin and his monster in the
Caves. You can only bring TEN (10) items with you. If you die in the
Caves, you will lose the 10 items you brought, anything you found,
your current equipment (!!!), and you'll be brought back to the
entrance. This is why I stress to you, ALWAYS save before entering.
If you do die in the Caves, simply reset and load your last save.
You CANNOT open your menu in the Caves. Each time you defeat a
floor's boss, you get to 'camp' before entering the next level.
At 'camp', you have your menu opened, so you can equip/heal your
character. To leave the Caves, you must use an item called
Providence. Providence is found on all floors. Never enter the
Caves without one. If you don't have any Providence in stock, go to
the first levels of the cave to find some. Through out the Caves,
you will find 'Shrines'. Shrines are things that aren't bushes,
vines, bags, pots, or chests. They will do one of many things,
mattering on the type. Some will give stat bonuses to certain classes,
while others could be thieves. In the Caves, you don't use the regular
moving-monster encounters. Some chests will have monsters inside,
instead. Chests can either have monsters, items, money, traps, or
just be empty.
With that said, on to the fun stuff.

All of this data was compiled by me, unless noted otherwise.
Please read the following, to avoid conflict.
- Providence is found on all floors, therefore it is not listed.
- For getting past the 60th Floor, the last, you recieve an Egg Ring.
- Some bosses may have a regular monster with them.
- Bosses CANNOT be caught.
- Shrines are found on all floors.
- Gold is found on all floors. The higher the floor number, the larger
the gold quantities you find.
- Shrine-looking shrines have a very random effect, negative or positive.
- Red orbs heal all HP and can be used by any class.
- Blue orbs heal all AP and can be used by any class.
- Bottle-icon items can be found on all floors.
- Fruit can be found on all floors.
- Ore can be found on all floors.
- 'Ball' items can be found on all floors.
- Disks can be found on all floors.
- Some items may be thieves. Thieves steal a random ammount of G from
you. The higher the floor, more G is stolen.
- This is incomplete. Don't complain, I'm constantly adding to it.
- Use the Find feature to go to the floor you want. If you want Floor 23,
type Ancient Cave 23 in the Find box, and so on.

Ancient Cave 1

Monsters: Red Jelly, Bat, Mousse S, Blue Jelly, Spider
Here are some hints for getting through the Ancient Caves.
1. NEVER enter without a Providence. If you don't have one, search the
lower floors for them.
2. After every level, use a Providence and save. You never know, the
monsters might be a laugh on one floor, and then walk over you on the
next.
3. Always keep a stock of Antidotes, Potions, and Insect Eggs.
4. Bring Cave, Sea, and Tower disks. You never know, you might find a
useful monster.
5. Save before entering. ALWAYS.
Some good skills for the Ancient Caves include Slash All (For weak monsters),
Miracle Hit (Does damage & heals you, at the same time), Heal Full (Healing
is a must-have), and Chance Hit (The end-bosses have high defense and low HP.
Chance hit does random damage in multiples of 20, from 20 to 200, ignoring
defense.)
Also, you should always bring a useful monster. Gold Cores are absolutely the
BEST monsters for this. They have extremely high defense, making them almost
impossible to kill. They also have Leech, which makes it yet harder to kill,
along with a healing skill. Other than that, the Neo Jelly can learn a
healing skill, also.
