WMXIX is a vast improvement over X8. It's not quite the reincarnation of No
Mercy many were hoping for, but it's a solid game that plays very well. It
lacks some of the frills of games like Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth, but it's a
fun wrestling game (especially when played mutliplayer) with a lot to do and
unlock.
If you're looking for a specific move list or section, the best way to do it is
to do a search. Most browsers allow you to do a word search in the page you're
on. If you're looking for, say, the Rock, type, "The Rock" and search.
This is my second FAQ/Walkthrough. My first was a walkthrough for the demo of
Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast. If you see ways I can improve this one,
please tell me! ^.^ Mistakes, errors, contributions and anything of the sort
can be sent to
[email protected]. However, be aware there is no guarantee that
I will use your info. Things like Revenge strategies would be especially be
welcome. Put something notable in the title of the email ("Saw your FAQ",
"WMXIX Rules!", "Revenge Stages" or something like that) so I'll know it's not
spam. ~.^
As far as Move lists go, don't worry about sending them in. I'll get them all
up in due time. Since they're in the game and there are a growing number of
Move List FAQs already, I'm not going to put them to terribly high on my list.

- Basic Controls - (findcontrols)

Basic Movement:
If you really want to learn the controls, your best bet is to use Tutorial Mode,
however dull it is. This is more just a reference should you need it.
Analog = Move around
Z = Change target
Hold Y + Analog toward outside of ring = Exit the ring
Hold Y + Analog toward outside of ring = Climb onto apron (let go of Y when
superstar is on the apron)
Hold Y + Analog toward inside of ring = Enter the ring
Hold Y + Analog toward inside of ring = Climb onto apron (let go of Y when
superstar is on apron)
Hold Y (while running towards ropes) = Slide outside of the ring
Digital Pad (Any Direction) = Taunts
Basic Attacks:
Tap B = First Light Strike
Tap B + Analog Stick = Second Light Strike
Hold B = Heavy Strike
Hold B + Analog Stick = Second Heavy Strike
Tap A = Light Grapple

General Revenge Tips:
-Grunts are general fare, just cannon fodder. They include Security Officers,
Builders, Riders and Workers.
-If the mission is *not* to defeat the enemy, grunts will appear in infinite
numbers. Don't bother eliminating them because another will just appear to take
his place.
-Agents are a little tougher than the normal grunts, but not by too much. Note
that numbered Agents (for example, "Agent 999" instead of just "Agent") are
full-fledged bosses.
-Bosses are comparable with superstars, so be ready. When you see someone with
a unique name who isn't a regular superstar, you've encountered a boss.
-There are specific times when a superstar appears, but what superstar appears
is random.
-Don't focus on one opponent. The general fare you fight - workers, builders,
riders, and security officers - aren't very strong. Knock one down, then
immediately grapple the next. It will only take a few grapples to make them
stay down for long periods, so use that chance to pick them off one at a time.
-Opponents fall from the platforms easier when they're in the blue. If you're
facing multiple opponents, it's usually easier to weaken them with grapples
before throwing them, because then you won't have to worry about stomping them
down and leaving yourself open for attack.
-You can use submissions! Believe it or not, opponents in Revenge mode will
actually submit if they're worn down enough.
-Hit your finisher before climbing! It should keep your opponents down for a
while. Unfortunately, if your finisher produces a cut-scene where the opponent
rolls around hurt, he or she will probably be back up quickly (I'm not sure
why), meaning you've got to hit them with a finisher again.
-Characters that have Heavy Strikes that don't break the grapple are great for
busting grunts open. Just keep using strikes that don't break the grapple.
Besides those, any move that involves repeated punches (ground punches, Thesz
Press Knuckles, etc.) is usually effective.
-Note that the Power of the Punch busts opponents open every time. Use that to
your advantage if you have it available.
-Cars come in bursts of three. Wait for the third to pass before crossing,
otherwise you're likely to get nailed.
-In stages that feature a superstar but do not require you to defeat him,
eliminating him can still be useful, because a mere grunt will take his place.
-Persevere. Don't give up after one or two failed attempts. If it gets bad
enough, try setting the difficulty to Easy. A CAW with maxed stats can also be
a big help.
Construction Site 1:
Goal: Throw all five opponents off the platform.
Opponents: Five grunts.
Strategy: You shouldn't have much trouble on this one. If you do, the later
ones will be a devil for you, but don't give up. Guards will come at you one at
a time. Either weaken them to blue, then throw them over, or just keep Irish
Whipping them over the edge and stomping on their hands. It shouldn't be too
hard since it's effectively a one and one match, and they're just grunts.
Construction Site 2:
Goal: Throw all eight opponents off the platform.
Opponents: Seven grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: This will be a little harder. You've got to take on two opponents at
once. Switch between the two, alternatively hitting them with grapples. Once
they're both weakened to the point that they're going to be down for a while,
starting tossing them over one at a time. If you're quick and strong enough,
you can make it a series of one-on-one fights by eliminating your opponent as
soon as possible before his back-up arrives. As is always the case, the
superstar comes last.
Construction Site 3:
Goal: Throw all ten opponents off the platform.
Opponents: Ten grunts.
Strategy: This might actually be easily than the previous one. You'll start off
only facing one person, but a second will soon join. If you're quick enough,
you can pick them off one-by-one and never have to face two at once. If luck
isn't on your side, follow the same strategy used in Construction Site 2,
alternating between the two with quick grapples, then throwing them over the
edge. There is no wrestler to face, and you've got more than enough time to
weaken them before throwing them.
Construction Site 4:
Goal: Throw more opponents off the platform than your opponent.
Opponents: Grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: You'll be competing against another superstar here. The two of you
will be on the same platform you were on in Construction Site 3, and guards will
come at you both. You've got to throw off more grunts than your opponent does.
Usually, your opponent will be distracted by a guard, so just focus on throwing
the grunts over. Occasionally the wrestler might go for you, but you can just
dodge his attacks till he gets distracted again. If you manage to throw him
off, you'll gain a point. Don't fall off yourself, because it will count as a
point towards your opponent. If you want, once you're in the lead you can focus
on your opponent. Instead of throwing more grunts off the edge, just keep him
from getting any points.
Construction Site 5:
Goal: Throw the opposing superstar off the platform.
Opponents: Grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: This one can be a toughie. First, you need to find the fencing. It's
in front of you, but you have to go around to the right, then climb onto the
platform right before the barbed wire. Second, you have to lay out the two
grunts hounding you. Gain two specials, then hit your finisher on both the
grunts, just to keep them down for awhile before trying to climb.
Once at the top, it's you and the superstar. User your finisher and try to get
rid of him as fast as possible, because if you dally, the two grunts will catch
up and you'll be facing a three-on-one. If that does happen, try grappling the
grunts till they're too weak to hold, than throwing them off the platform. This
will buy you some time to deal with the superstar.
Alternatively, you can climb back down - everyone, including the superstar will
follow you - and use the weapons and space available to weaken them.
Construction Site 6:
Goal: Keep your opponents away from the wrecking ball controls.
Opponents: A random superstar and a random boss.
Strategy: This one is much less frustrating than the last one. The controls are
high on the fence behind you. Instead of facing your opponents head on, it's
easier to back away, let them climb a bit, then shake them down. If you're
lucky, that's all you'll have to do for this one.
However, f they're both going for you, you're safe, because that means they're
not after the controls. If only one is going after you, you're safe too: a
quick grapple will put him or her down long enough for you to shake the fence.
It's a long climb, so don't be too panicked if you're on the ground when one of
the starts up.
Note that if you eliminate the boss and the superstar by throwing them over the
edge, they'll be replaced with grunts and agents, which should make things all
the easier.
Shopping Mall 1:
Goal: Make all the guards bleed.
Opponents: Four grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: Just use the usual method of Heavy Strikes that don't break holds. If
your character doesn't have any moves of that sort, don't worry. There is a mop
near you, slightly behind you. Grab it, and just swing away. They attack you
one at a time, so it shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Some guys will bleed
right away, some will take a while to bust open, but just keep hitting them with
the mop and eventually they'll bleed.
Shopping Mall 2:
Goal: Free Stephanie.
Opponents: One grunt and a superstar.
Strategy: Nothing too bad here. You'll start off against a single grunt. Pass
him up and run down the escalators. At the bottom is a huge door, behind which
Stephanie is being detained. Also waiting is a superstar. It's easiest to just
keep Irish Whipping them into the door till it busts.
If you're not having much luck doing that, go the usual route. Alternate
between the superstar and the grunt with grapples. When both are down, take a
few swings at the door till they get up. The grunt should go down pretty
easily, but the superstar will put it much more of a fight. You'll have to hit
him a several times before he stays down long enough to do massive damage to the
door, but it shouldn't be too much of a struggle.
Shopping Mall 3:
Goal: Bust up the three Wrestlemania XIX signs.
Opponents: One grunt and a superstar.
Strategy: This one can be tricky because you've only got five minutes, but don't
panic and you should be all right. The three WMXIX signs are right in front of
you, on the ground level. Like Shopping Mall 2, whipping your opponents into
the signs deals solid damage. In this case, however, it might be easier to hit
some Light Grapples to put your opponent down, then launch combos till they're
back up.
There is a cheap method that usually works: keep circling the signs. Your
opponents will follow you. When you're on the side of the sign opposite your
enemies, take the chance to throw some punches at it. Often the computer will
get confused and attack the sign instead of you, making things all the more
easier. You can do the same procedure for all three and usually end up with a
minute to spare.
Shopping Mall 4:
Goal: Keep security from climbing the pole and grabbing the suitcase.
Opponents: One agent and a superstar.
Strategy: You've got five minutes to keep Vince's goons at bay. You'll start
off against one agent. Just keep him away from the pole and deal as much damage
as you can. After about a minute passes (anytime soon after the timer hits
4:00), a superstar will show up. Normally one will focus on you and one will
climb, so hit your attacker with quick grapples. Stay close to the pole so you
can shake it easily. Moves like the catfight throw will help out immensely,
because it's quick and sends the enemy a significant distance away. When you've
got a Special bar, use your finisher to keep them both down for a while. Use
the time they're down to taunt to rebuild your Specials without rousing them.
Shopping Mall 5:
Goal: Destroy twenty items. This includes glass barricades, trees, windows,
walls and benches.
Opponents: Three grunts.
Strategy: Not much strategy is needed here. You'll start off against a guard.
Another will show up when the timer's at 8:30, and a third will arrive at 7:00.
Just go berserk and smash everything. Break the two windows at ground level,
then climb up the elevator and go to work on the shops, barricades and trees.
By the time the grunt arrives, you should have your goal almost completed if
it's not already. Be careful, because when the guards smash things with their
own attacks
you don't get credited for it. Ignore the huge iron doors; they're not worth
destroying because they take so long.
Shopping Mall 6:
Goal: Destroy your opponents car while protecting your own.
Opponents: An agent and a boss.
Strategy: Follow a strategy similar to the one you used to bust up those signs.
Grab the sledgehammer right away. As long as you have it, your opponents will
chase you instead of attack your car. Keep circling their ride, running if you
have to, attacking when you're in the clear. If you're lucky, the boss will be a
slow character which will make it all the easier. Also note that again they'll
likely do half your work for you by comboing their own car.
Alternatively, you can take turns weakening them with grapples till they're both
down for a while, then just wail on there car. However, you need to be careful
to keep the weapon away from the boss, because he or she will ignore you and go
to work on your car if they have the hammer.
Parking Lot 1:
Goal: Destroy three cars
Opponents: Three grunts.
Strategy: You'll be facing off against one grunt at a time. You've got to put
them through cars, just like you do with tables. Get close to a car and Irish
Whip a grunt towards it, and he'll roll on top. Don't Irish Whip from too far
away, otherwise he'll just bounce off the side. You can also toss grunts off
the sides of the platform onto cars. Once you've got a guy on the car, climb up
and plant him with a grapple. There are a ton of moves that will work - DDTs,
Bulldogs, Facebusters, and so on. If it slams the enemy hard, it should do the
trick. Be careful not to get slammed yourself, otherwise you'll lose and have
to start over.
Parking Lot 2:
Goal: Make all the guards bleed.
Opponents: Fives grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: This will be tougher than in the Shopping Mall. You're going to be
going two on one, with the superstar coming in last. There are several weapons
nearby, including a sledgehammer straight ahead from where you start. Grab it
and swing away at the nearest guard immediately. If you're lucky, you'll KO him
before the second guard joins him. If not, do the usual alternating between
guards. Keep repeating the process. Once you've knocked a guard down,
immediately attack the next one. Once the superstar comes, things will get a
little more hectic. Focus on the last remaining grunt, then take out the
superstar. If you're lucky, the superstar won't take long to bust open.
Parking Lot 3:
Goal: Grab the suitcase.
Opponents: Two grunts.
Strategy: You've got to climb the chain and swing from it to grab the suitcase.
You'll be facing off against two grunts right from the start. There are some
weapons nearby if you think they'll help. Alternate attacking one, then the
other, so you're never in a two-on-one situation. Once you've built up a
special, hit your finishers on both of them in succession. They should be down
long enough for you to climb the pole between the two pillars. Now here's the
hard part: time your swing so you catch the suitcase. The suitcase will swing
back and forth. Line up your camera with the back of your superstar and aim for
the briefcase. If your superstar is perfectly straight, you should swing for it
when the suitcase is in the middle. If your superstar is crooked, jump for it
when it's at it's farther point to the right or the left.
Parking Lot 4:
Goal: Destroy the big rig truck.
Opponents: Grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: This is probably the easiest of the Parking Lot missions. You'll face
off against a superstar and a grunt immediately, with another grunt arriving
quickly. Ignore the grunt near you, dodge the cars and go up the ramp. Drop
onto the big rig truck from the ledge. You've got to bust out each section of
the truck in the same way you busted up those cars in the first Parking Lot
mission. Hit the superstar first to take him out of the equation, then take out
the grunts.
Parking Lot 5:
Goal: Toss the guards into traffic.
Opponents: Nine grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: All I can say for this is one keep trying. It might take several
tries. You'll be going three on one at all times, with the superstar coming
last. The safest method is to stay on the platform and weaken the guards before
throwing them so you won't have to stomp them down. You'll have to be quick and
not let up, otherwise it could take a minute to regain control of the situation.
Alternatively, you can get down to ground level, in the open section at the
bottom of the stairs were the cars don't go. From there, just keep whipping
grunts into traffic via Irish Whips or other throw moves. If you want to, you
can weaken them first so you're not taking them all on at once, but if you feel
lucky you can just keep tossing and hope for the best. Reversals are very
important here, because the guards will try to Irish Whip you too. This can be
the quickest but most frustrating method, so I'd advise the former.
Parking Lot 6:
Goal: Take out Vince's bodyguard.
Opponents: Grunts and a boss.
Strategy: This one is probably the hardest there is. Don't give up, you just
have to keep trying. You've got to do a lot of jumping and swinging (I thought
this was the WWE, not Pitfall ~.^). Right from the real, you've got the option
of swinging or going into traffic. You need to get to the platform in the
center, so whatever way you choose, be careful. Time the cars and be quick to
move if you choose that route, but it's probably easier to swing. Line yourself
up exactly with the pole, otherwise you'll be crooked and your aim will have to
be more precise. Then you've got to time your jumps: if you're aiming for the
next chain in the middle, wait till the chain is coming back before jumping, and
if you're aiming for the next chain when it's at the end of it's rotation, start
swinging as it nears it. You can usually skip a chain if you aim well, which
cuts down on the chances of you messing up a swing. From there, you've got two
grunts to take care of. Deal with them as fast as possible, hit your finishers
on both of them in succession, and then climb the pole between the big pillars
(the same place it was in Parking Lot 3). Aim carefully but quickly: the grunts
can shake you down, but not if you're on a moving chain. I can't offer much
advice except for aim well, skip a chain when you swing and prepare to be
frustrated. Once you get to the far ledge, don't rest, because time is limited.
Weaken the boss as fast as you can, and don't let him throw you off the edge.
As soon as he or she is in the blue, toss him or her into traffic.
Harbor 1:
Goal: Toss five opponents off the cage.
Opponents: Five grunts.
Strategy: You're only taking on one guy at a time, so it's not too tough.
You'll need to break out part of the fencing first. Grapple your opponent as
necessary to put him down, then work on the fence. Once part of the fence is
gone, it's just a matter of throwing everyone who comes your way off. Just to
make things easier, you can shake the chain as the grunts climb down to send
them to the ground.
Harbor 2:
Goal: Climb out of the cage and up the chain.
Opponent: Three grunts.
Strategy: This one will be a pain. You'll start off against one grunt, although
a second waits for you on top of the cage. Do as much damage as you can to the
one opposing you, then bust out the fence. You may have to eliminate the grunt
first so you won't be shaken down. Be quick, otherwise a second will join.
From there, climb up the cage to the top. At 9:30, a third grunt will appear.
Bust out part of the floor here. It's okay if you fall too; you can climb back
up. When you're back on top, hit your finisher on all three, then throw them
down the hole you made, *not* off the edge, so they fall into the second floor
of the cage. This will make them have to climb down before they can climb back
up, giving you tons of time to make your move. From there, climb up the pole in
the middle. Remember you don't have to be at the very top to make the swing
onto the platform.
There are a few alternatives, but they don't seem to work nearly as well.
First, you could weaken them all to the blue then toss them over the edge at the
same time. That should give you enough time to make the climb. Second, you
could do the usual method of hitting your finisher on all three and then climb
like a madman. Considering how much work all three of these methods take, it's
best just to go with busting out the floor and throwing them down. This can be
a frustrating mission, so don't give up too quickly!
Harbor 3:
Goal: Throw all your opponents off the edge.
Opponents: Eight grunts.
Strategy: Same old. They'll come at you two at a time. Alternate between the
two with grapples, then, once they're in the blue, toss them over the edge.
Watch out for the moving platform below. If an opponent lands on it, they can
just climb up the chains and swing back to the ledge you're on. If you're
having trouble, you might use this to your advantage, because it'll make the
battle one on one for a while as the second grunt struggles to climb back up.
Harbor 4:
Goal: Climb on top of the big crate.
Opponents: Grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: You'll start off facing a single grunt. No biggie, just knock him out
of your way. First, break away the low fencing nearby. There's a long wooden
ramp there you can use to get on top of the huge cage. From there, you should
be able to see a big crate at the top of some stairs to your right, a superstar
on the ground and a hole straight ahead of you on the deck. Another grunt will
be with the superstar. Instead of fighting them, do your best to dodge them.
Hop down and either pick up a box from the ground or snatch one from the gap.
Quickly run up the stairs to your right with the container and place it at the
base of the huge crate. Climb on your container, and from there you can climb
on the crate. Viola.
Harbor 5:
Goal: Throw all your opponents into the sea.
Opponents: Nine grunts and a superstar.
Strategy: Again, same old. You'll only be going two on one against grunts for
most of the time, and you've got twenty minutes. Just repeat the usual: rotate
attacks between the two till they're weak, then pitch them into the water. Save
your specials, just in case. The superstar is the last person to appear, but by
then he shouldn't be a problem. You should have a two or three specials by now,
so use Ôem! It might be easier to finish off the last grunt first, then go to
work one on one with the superstar.
Harbor 6:
Goal: Bust open the control room doors.
Opponents: A grunt (sometimes an agent), a boss and a superstar.
Strategy: This one isn't too bad once you figure it out. You'll start off
against a superstar, with a grunt appearing within twenty seconds. There's a
boss there, too, but he or she won't bother you till you reach the door. So,
make it easy on yourself and eliminate the superstar by tossing them over the
edge. You'll have to battle the superstar and a grunt at the same time, but if
you've made it this far, that shouldn't be a problem. The superstar will be
replaced by a grunt, but it's a much better deal than taking on a superstar, a
boss and a grunt.
Now you've got a couple options. The first is a bit harder, but faster if you
get it going. Just head up the far stairs to the door and start whipping grunts
and the boss into it till it busts open. The grunts are slow, meaning the only
real threat is the boss. If you're smooth about it, you shouldn't have much
trouble.
The second method is cheaper and easier. Run to the door to get all three
opponents following you. Then, charge back down the stairs and to the far end
of the boat. When the three of them catch up, run back up to the door and start
swinging away at it. You should be able to get a combo or two in before they
catch up. Repeat the process till the door is busted.

I'm not the best CAW maker in the world, but here I'm going to lay down the
basics and explain some tricks. Hopefully they help!
Profile
The profile is the basics. It won't take long to make it.
Name: This is required. This is your character's full name. It appears in the
teleprompt when your characters makes his or her entrance for a match.
Short Name: This is also required. This name is used during the King of the
Ring. Your CAS' nickname will appear on the roster instead of the full name.
Nickname: This isn't required, so you can leave it blank. This is basically
just another name that will appear on the teleprompt, above your real name.
Type: This is required. You choose whether your character is a babyface (good
guy, hero) or a heel (bad guy, villian). This will affect whether your
character is cheered (babyface) or booed (heel).
Ability
Basic:
Endurance - this refers to how much damage your character can take. Higher
endurance means he or she can take more hits.
Strength - this refers to how much impact your character's moves have. Higher
strength means attacks will hurt more.
Agility - this refers to how quick your character is. A character with high
agility can move around faster than one with low agility.
Jumping - this refers to how far your character makes it when jumping. A
character with high jumping can successfully perform turnbuckle attacks from
farther away.
Recovery - this refers to how fast your character recovers from damage. Higher
recovery means your character will recover quicker from being hurt.
Attack:
Striking - this refers to how much damage normal striking attacks, like punches
and kicks, will do.
Grappling - this refers to how much damage grapples will do.
Joint Locks - this refers to how skilled your character is in submissions. A
high number for joint locks means they can make opponents submit more easily.
Defence:
Resilience - this refers to how well your character can take striking attacks.
The higher the resilience, the easier it is to recover from striking attacks.
Escape - this refers to how well your character can handle grapples. Higher
escape means less damage from grapple attacks.
Flexibility - this refers to how well your character can resist submissions. A
character with high flexibility can take a lot of pressure from a submission.
Logos
Logos are a great way to customize a character. Logos allow you to make
clothing camaflouged, leopard-print or stripped, add skulls and designs to them,
or to add your own personalized logos. If you want to add a logo to a piece of
clothing, choose the article you want to personalize and select "Logo 1" or
"Logo 2." Each one has a different set of logos. If you want to use a logo you
made yourself, choose either one of those and scroll through with the L & R
buttons till you reach the personal logos.
From there, you can choose where you want your logo and how you want it placed.
First, you'll need to choose what part of the clothing it's located on. Second,
you need to choose how it's textured: you can have a single logo appear all over
clothing, in lines, or just by itself. From there, you can adjust a few things.
Position: this affects where the logo appears. The X axis moves it left and
right, and the Y axis moves it up and down.
Rotation: this rotates the object by spinning it around the desired amount.
Scale: this adjusts the overall size of a logo. The X axis increases it's width
to the left and right, and the Y axis increases it's size to the top and bottom.
For example, let's add something to T-Shirt 01. Go to Upper Body (inside or
outside), scroll to Short Sleeve, and select T-Shirt 01. Exit back to where you
can choose Base, Logo 1 and Logo 2 and choose Logo 1. Scroll to the Sample
Textures and select "common 03," the WWE logo. This will bring you to a screen
where you must choose it's location. Select "Chest."
Now, you're brought to the Texture Repeat section. The first one, the red "X,"
makes the logo appear by itself. The second choice makes it appear in a row,
the third choice, a column, and the forth choice repeats the texture over the
entire section. Select the first on, the red "X."
You've got options of Position, Rotation and Scale. Go to Position. Ignore the
X axis, go the Y axis, and add three points. This will move the logo down a
bit. Make your decision and go to Rotation. Make it -10 points. This will put
the WWE logo on a slant. Finally, go to Scale. Adjust the X axis to -15 and
the Y axis to -10. Now your logo has been move, rotated and shrunk. This can
be applied to all logos.
Some notes on logos:
-If you want transparencies in your personal logos, move to the color section
section (hit "R" once). Find the color you want to make transparent and hit the
"X" button while you're on it. You'll know it's transparent if a little check
appears in the box next to it.
-You cannot put personalized logos on pants. Why? I'm not sure. Perhaps THQ
was worried about dirty minded people taking advantage of that. If that's the
case, that's a pretty lame reason.
-You cannot put personalized logos on shirts worn by girls. Probably because of
the same reason you can't put logos on pants.
Gear
Gear can be the coolest part, but also the most frustrating. Gear consists of
hats, ears, tails, swords, specials masks, and so forth. Basically, it's a
collection of odd accessories. You can't change the color of your gear, but you
can adjust it to fit your character's size and build and place it where you want
to.
Translate: translate refers to the *position* of the item or part in question.
For example, say you choose the cat ears. Translate affects where they are
placed. The X axis moves it left or right, the Y axis moves it up or down, and
the Z axis moves it forward or backwards.
Rotation: rotation refers to the way the item or part is turned. If you choose
a mask, for example, rotation will allow you to turn it upside-down or make it
parrallel to the ground. It's a bit harder to explain the axis movement on
this, so just try it for yourself.
Scale: scale refers to the *size* of the item or part in question. Let's stick
with the cat ears: scale will adjust their literal size to make them smaller or
bigger.
Using Gear
Now that you've found a hat for your CAS, you've got to adjust it to fit. It's
probably floating in air above your CAS' head right now. So, first, you'll want
to go to Translate. Go to the Y axis and lower the hat several points. It
should now look like it's sitting comfortably on the head. Maybe you want it
tipped back a little so the brim isn't covering his or her eyes. Go to Rotation
and add a few points to the X axis. Now the hat is sitting on the head. Now
the hat needs to be deeper. Go to Scale and the Y axis. Add 10 or so points,
and now the hat is much deeper.
The same physics apply to the rest of the gear. Most likely it won't fit in the
default position, so you'll have to take some time to adjust it. It might take
a little while to get things perfect, so don't get discouraged too fast.
Be creative! Sometimes gear just doesn't look like it wants to fit in the right
place, but usually, it can be adjust. Tails, for instance, cannot be placed
directly onto the back. Instead, place it on one of the thighs. From here, you
can use translate to move it so it's positioned right on the lower back.
Also, sometimes gear can used for something it wasn't intended for. The torsion
headband is naturally made to go around the head. However, you can make it into
a necklace by positioning it at the head, translating and rotating it to be
around the neck, then shrinking it's size to fit the neck. If you can't quite
get something to look right or find a part you want, chances are you can fake it
with some adjustments to existing items.
Scale
Scale is used to adjust the proportions of your CAS. There is no uniform way to
adjust height or weight, so you'll have to do manual adjustments through this
feature.
Width: this feature adjusts the size of a given body part. Assuming you're
looking at the front of the body, this makes parts expand to the left and right.
Length: this feature adjusts the height of a given part. This makes parts
expand upwards or shrink downwards.
Depth: this feature adjusts the size of a given part. If you're looking at the
body from the side, this makes parts expand to the left and right.
So, for this example we'll work with the waist. Say you want to make a tall
person that's not very wide and has a bit of a tummy. First, you'll go to the
"Waist" section. Go to the width and adjust it so it has negative points, say,
-20. Second, go to the length and increase the points, maybe to 30 or so.
Finally, go to the depth. Rotate the character to the side so you can watch,
then increase the depth to 20. Now, your character has a long, thin waist and a
bit of a belly. You can apply this to any other given body part.

Q) Is Team Angle/Rhyno/Jazz/Nash/another superstar I don't see on the immediate
select screen in WMXIX?
A) If they're not on the initial roster, they're not in. -.-; None of the
bosses are real people, and there are no hidden wrestlers.
Q) What about Jeff Hardy? I've seen him in screenshots and on official rosters.
A) At one point he was confirmed to be in the game. However, his departure was
early enough in the development stages of WMXIX that he could be taken out. His
movements are available in CAW, however.
Q) Can you throw people off the cell through the announce tables? How?
A) Yes. You've got to weaken them to a sliver of momentum, first, otherwise
they'll hang on. Then get right to the edge and Irish Whip your opponent.
You'll hip toss them straight through the table.
Q) How do you do EX Specials?
A) When you have three Special bars, press L, R, A, and B, all at once, and
you'll go into your EX Special State. From there, just perform a super like
normal (A + B in the appropriate situation for that wrestler).
Q) Can you defend titles?
A) Yes, in King of the Ring. This is often overlooked. However, your friend
will have to win the KotR to face you.
Q) Can you unlock any extra arenas?
A) Nope. You can unlock new Revenge Mode levels by beating Revenge Mode, but
that's about it.
Q) Can you put someone through a table/announce table without being on top of
it?
A) Yes, but it takes luck and precise targeting. You've got to be really close
and do a slam move (try it standing next to an announce table with Matt Hardy's
normal Light Grapple). It looks like a glitch more than anything, because
you'll fall down too as if you were on top of the table.
Q) What's the fastest way to get money?
A) I prefer Shopping Mall 5, where you have to smash everything. Play as
someone like Rob Van Dam, whose wide range combination attacks can hit the
benches and trees easily. Take out the windows at the bottom, then go up the
stairs and start breaking the stuff to the right. If you're fast, you can beat
it in under a minute fifteen seconds. At $6000+ for a 75 second run, you're
making cash like crazy. Keep in mind that things the guards smash *do not*
count towards your total!
A) How do I get more CAW points?
Q) You've got to buy them from Shopzone. They go for $1000 a point, and you can
give them to any CAW you want to. However, once you've given a Global Point to
a CAW, it permanently becomes a Local Point. You can buy an infinite number of
Global Points, so don't worry about misuse.
Q) Is there a way to use custom logos on pants or on a shirt worn by a woman?
A) Nope. The theory is that people would make "nude" logos so they could make
nude CASs, and Yukes didn't want to deal with any lawsuits. Stupid, I know.
Q) Can you unlock more stuff for Shopzone?
A) Nope.
Q) Can you go for the tag belts in King of the Ring with two players?
A) Nope.
Q) Can you play as another wrestler after you're eliminated from the Royal
Rumble?
A) Nope.
Q) Can you enter CASs as computer players in the Royal Rumble?
A) Again, no. Hopefully this will be fixed in WMXX. :)
Q) Can you copy official superstars into the CAW and edit them?
A) No dice here, either. Sorry!
Q) Who doesn't have their current music (at the time of WMXIX's release)?
A) The following have older themes: the Dudleys, Eddie Guerrero ("Latino Heat"),
Kane, and Rob Van Dam. The follow have knock-off themes that try to mimic their
real ones: Chris Nowinski, Lance Storm, Matt Hardy, Stacy Keibler, and Victoria.
Q) Is the Prima Strategy Guide worth a purchase?
A) I don't think so. It consists mostly of Revenge Mode strategies and
movelists. In other words, nothing that can't easily be found on the internet.
To be fair, I don't care for strategy guides anyway, I think they're vastly
overpriced for something you can find free on Gamefaqs and other sites.

Unlock the Revenge stages in Exhibition
Beat each section completely and it's Revenge stages will be unlocked. For
example, beat all the levels in the Construction Site to unlock the Construction
Site stages. Beating Revenge Mode completely will earn you the new Warehouse
Missions.
Unlock the bosses
Everytime you beat a final Revenge stage, the boss you fought will be unlocked.
It's random who you fight, so you can just keep playing boss stages over and
over to unlock everyone (Shopping Mall 6 is probably the quickest and easiest
way). The boss' move templates also become available in CAW once they're
unlocked.

Completely beat Revenge mode, and you'll now have nine combination attacks under
Striking instead of just three.
Unlock the Warehouse stages
Completely beat Revenge mode, and the Warehouse stages will become available for
both Exhibition and Revenge mode.
Enable the rotating camera in Exhibition Mode
Beat Revenge mode for a second time, then you'll be allowed to rotate the camera
via the C-Stick in Exhibition matches Single, Triple Threat and Fatal Four Way.
Money from Al Snow
Complete every section in Tutorial Mode and Al Snow will award you $5000.
Fun with Stacy Keibler
If you hang around in Shopzone enough, Stacy will make some comments: "Do you
like watching me?" "Are you going to buy ME anything?" "No credit cards in
here, buddy. You need cash," and "I know you want it!" She'll even start
dancing!
