I. Introduction [tadapsg]
==============================================================================
Paon developed and Nintendo published game, Glory of Heracles, brings with
it the first Heracles title, of now five total, to be released stateside.
Play is similar to some older RPGs; think of SNES Breath of Fire, when the
entire party's actions are chosen all at once and played out, turn by turn.
Returning too are the random encounters, without seeing any of the enemies on
screen prior to beginning the fight.
Though at first, it seems like nothing new's here, the added ether system will
add some strategy to the longer boss battles, since you won't neccessarily be
relying on spamming the same strongest spell over and over again. In summary,
fire spells require fire ether to be cast, earth ether to cast earth spells,
ice ether for ice spells, and so on and so on. If you don't happen to have the
required ether to cast the spell, you take reflux damage to HP. At the end of
each turn, ether's added back to each main element, so you may have to wait to
give your strongest spells another go.
I've been enjoying the game the past few days, intent on documenting, close to
launch date, everything I can to get a guide up for those that need the help.
My first day purchase, heh. Anyway, I really do hope that these words will
offer some guidance as you make your way through the game as well. The people
reading here on GameFAQs really make this site come together, so here's to
everyone contributing, both big and small, to this community.

III. Walkthrough FAQ [otter]
==============================================================================
-- Game Intro -- [gifaq]
Load up the DS and hit up the NEW GAME option. You're treated to a few
different scenes, starting with Leucos running through what appears to be a
farm, Axios wooing the ladies, Heracles surrounded by soldiers and Eris lost
in a maze of some sort. Then a mysterious person, shrouded in shadows, bids
Heracles to stand on a platform raising from the ground. The next thing you
notice is washing up on the beach with two people running down, the bigger
person accusing the smaller person of being a thief. Either click the screen
or press A to wake up and get sent to the overworld map.
-- Island of Crete --
Follow the coastline until you reach a ramp. Walk up to enter the Forest.
-- Forest --
You'll be treated to a scene where the thief, later named as Leucos, is being
chased. Leucos will bump into you as you're automatically making your way
through the forest, throwing both of you down a cliff. When you regain
control, start heading to the Northwest part of the map on the top screen,
which intially has you walking down on the touchscreen. From here on out, my
guide is going to be the top screen's map. About midway through the area,
you'll run into a treasure chest. Tap the treasure chest since, for now, the
game won't let you use button controls for opening treasure cheats, to obtain
an HERB. Continue walking along the path until you spot Leucos, who jumps
down the cliff. Follow and either double tap the touch sceen or press Y to
jump down when the "pointing down" icon appears over your character.
Leucos will be startled by your thud and goes to investigate. Go ahead and
answer "Yes" to being an immortal, since this is how the instruction manual
says the game will play out anyway. You'll also gain Leucos' father's sword,
the KEEPSAKE SWORD.
-- The Doubtwood: North -- [01faq]
A few more in-game tutorials to get through, all of which must be controlled
via the touchscreen for now. Read through the descriptions for what each
submenu deals with, then equip the Keepsake Sword on your "amnesiac" hero.
Now comes your first battle, again all controlled via touchscreen for this
tutorial. Beat up the two Grass Effigys as instructed, with the hero fighting
the one on the far right and using Leucos magic to attack the one on the left.
Once you have control, open up the two chests nearest you, using your
preferred method of tapping the chest or walking up to the chest and pressing
A, to gain a TOY HELM and a PICK-ME-UP. Head North a little to find another
chest with an HERB. Head South to get to the large circle and continue South,
opening a chest with a TOY SHIELD inside. Continue along the path to find
another chest containing an HERB. Now it seems like we're lost, but continue
heading around the circle until you approach the chest with the toy shield
inside. Three Nymphs will appear, proclaiming you are Heracles due to your
heroic spirit. These nymphs will also join your party. Go ahead and tell
them that you're lost and head toward the Southwestern area of the circle;
the trees will clear out, granting you an exit.
-- The Doubtwood: West --
Start heading to the Southwest area when the Wind Nymph spots Ether floating
up from the ground. It turns out to be Magic Flowers, a means to restore some
MP; again, you'll have to tap it on the touch screen to continue. Just then,
the Nymph Princess appears, teaching you how to strengthen spells using the
Touch Screen. Using the Touch Screen in conjunction with a spell gives a
percentage boost to your damage output. The inputs they teach you here are
Drag 1, Numerals 1, Striker 1 and Dead Center 1. After learning how to boost
your spells, head toward the Southeast corner of the map to open the way.
-- The Doubtwood: South --
As you walk along the path, a path in the trees opens up, leading to the NE
corner. Head that way to find a chest with STURDY BRANCH inside. Backtrack,
and continue your way down the linear path until you're stopped and taught
about the camping option. You'll need a Camping Kit to make camp, but luckily
you're given a few to get started. Break camp, with some HP/MP regained, and
continue your way down until you find two chests: RUSTY SPEAR and TOY BOW.
You'll be led through a tutorial on how to equip the Toy Bow, then given
control over your characters again. Backtrack a bit to open up the trees.
-- Praire / Island of Crete --
The three Nymphs will part ways here. Follow the path in a generally
Southwestern direction to reach the next area, the Forest Hamlet.
-- Forest Hamlet --

You're taught how to speak to people, forcing you to tap on the villager.
After this point, you'll be able to walk up and press A if you're not using
the Touch Screen as your primary method of control. Continue heading South
and you'll run into an Herb on the field, which you'll have to tap to pick up.
Again, you can press A after the initial tutorial. Then do the same with the
door to the Inn. Exit the Inn and you'll receive a Battle Primer and you'll
be asked to deliver 2000 D to the young man's mom, the item shop owner
over in Mycenae. Head on out to the overworld.

Follow the outlined path until you reach a cutscene, with a man running from
some pursuers. You find out that the man is an immortal, like Leucos and the
player character, throwing his pursuers off the immortal's trail. Continue
along and follow the path North to the Temple of Poseidon.
-- Temple of Poseidon --
Field items: Herb x6, Wakeblossom x2, Calmblossom, Mithridate
Wander around the outside to find the field items, then go inside the temple.
Head straight up the middle and use the altar to teach the hero Shield Bash,
and Leucos Bash and Multishot. With some levels, you'll have access to these.
Talk to the Nymph to learn Maximum Impact 1, which powers up your attacks like
how spells can be powered up; completing a task on the Touch Screen. Head
on out of the temple and start heading Southwest, toward the town of Cnossus.

Go inside the Watchtower and jump off to reach the hillside "off the map."
There're some field items and two chests: TOTAL PHYSIC and TRANSCENDENT AXE.
You can head inside the Weapon Shop for some training, which doesn't give EXP
nor money, but eventually you'll need to take the South exit to reach the
Beach area.
At the Beach, head to the West house to speak with the Head Priestess about
trying to get on the boat. She'll refuse until the immortal you helped
earlier returns the favor. Head back to the Town area to have a chat with
the mysterious immortal and then go inside the Inn, where you learn his name:
Axios. Axios now joins the party and everyone rests for the night, yielding
the hero with a dream about a secret. With Axios in the party, head inside
the Sorcerist building and take the stairs to the basement to find an altar.
The hero learns Byrn, Fulg and Pow; Leucos learns Fulg, De'gird and De'sthen;
Axios learns Fulgar, Quaithe and Powra. The nearby Nymph teaches Drag-On 2,
Numerals 2, Dead Center 2 and Striker 2, more potent additions to increase
your spell power with the Touch Screen. You don't have to take Axios to the
Temple of Poseidon since he won't learn anything new there.
Now continue to the Beach, walk down the pier and use the save since we have
a boss coming up soon. Enter the boat and off we go to sea.

You're finally able to name the main character; the Pit reference was cute. No
longer will the hero be known as "? ? ?," but I'll still be calling him as
"hero" or some similar form from here on out.
Anyway, the ship is attacked and Eudorus and Patroclus join the party. You'll
have a gauntlet of six encounters before coming face to face with what feels
like the first boss of the game, the Kraken.
Kraken strategy:
Attacks - Maelstorm ~ large wave of water, doing ~20 damage
Take out the two Gorgonas first, forcing Kraken to advance. Have the hero and
Eudorus constantly attack Kraken, with Axios and Leucos take on healing duties
when they're not attacking. Let Patroclus use Fulg every turn, taking
advantage of the Touch Screen damage increase to deal ~63 damage to Kraken.
Keep up the constant attack, spell and heal when necessary turn order and
Kraken will eventually fall.

You're now free to travel on Gazuth's ship. Too bad it's in repairs now.
Head to Gazuth's house to take him up on his offer of lodging. It's located
between the Inn and the Item shop, near the middle-right of town. Learn
about Leucos' secret, which in turn has Flora spilling her secret behind the
house.
Now you can explore a bit more, but to move the story along, go inside the
weapon shop and come back out to see a scene between Patroclus and Eudorus,
wanting to buy a boat to get home. With that scene, head back to Gazuth's
home and speak with Gazuth's wife, off to the right of the entrance. She'll
give you a book, to deliver to the Item shop owner. Head there and you'll get
another book, to deliver to Gazuth's wife. As you're exiting the Item shop,
Eudorus will give you FIRE ETHERSTONE x9, WATER ETHERSTONE x4, EARTH ETHER-
STONE x5, EARTH STONE x4, WIND ETHERSTONE x5 and SUN STONE x1. Head back
to Gazuth's wife to deliver the book and rest when you're ready to move on.
During the hero's sleep, we'll see a continuation of the myterious dream, only
to be awoken by bells. Try leaving town and Gazuth will approach you, asking
if you've seen Flora. Go and check behind Gazuth's house to see if Flora's
by her secret flower. It turns out she's not and Gazuth suspects she went
to the mines. Let's head out of town and go see if he's right.

Nymph grants Double Trouble 1 for the Touch Screen. After that, head on out
and follow the road West, then slant Northeast to the Abandoned Mine.

Gazuth mentions that this is the mine where Flora got the flower, but can't
find a way in. So instead, Gazuth smashes his way in. Follow him in and
he joins your party for the time being.
Head toward the bigger enclave, then start heading up North to find a chest
with a RUSTY SWORD. Backtrack and head Southwest to gain a BOMB. Head back
to that bigger room and start moving Northwest to be stopped by Gazuth, who
recognizes Flora's doll. So she's definitely in here. In the next fork, head
down to find some stairs, but pass them for the time being to get a chest
with WINTER GARB. Backtrack to the stairs to find two chests down there:
TOTAL PHYSIC and REL'ROC ROOT. Go back to the fork and continue up to the top
fork, going left here. Head to the very end of this passageway to find some
RUSTY ARMOR and stairs, holding RUSTY DAGGER and a Magic Flower, if you need
some MP healing. Head back out and take the fork to the right and find one
set of stairs. Down there you'll find TRAINEE'S BOW in the chest and a
STURDY BRANCH by opening the skull. Head back up the stairs and continue
going down the path to find more stairs, leading down to...
-- Abandoned Mine: B2 --
Field items: Herb, Kinewort
.. the second floor, where the dungeon actually continues. From the stairs,
go through the South passageway to find a skull with PICK-ME-UP inside. Bear
left as you backtrack to find a chest with TRAINEE'S ARMOR, and continue
heading to the North end of the map to find more stairs.
-- Abandoned Mine: B3 --
Field items: Herb x2, Kinewort
Head South and bear West to find a skull with a TRAINEE'S HELM. Hope that
thing didn't eat the trainee. Anyway, follow the path East to find a chest
with PHYSIC and a Magic Flower nearby to restore some MP. Backtrack out of
there and start going North, making sure to save somewhere along the way
because that big room looks like the perfect place for a boss battle. Once
you get close enough, you'll spot Flora and save her from those monsters.
Clear out the Maxderm and Pnoton x4 team and the boss falls in. The team
tells Gazuth to get Flora and get out of there, leaving you with the boss.
Orthros strategy:
Attacks - Distant Howl ~ Hits everyone for about 10-15 dmg
Cannon Breath ~ Targets one person, does around 30 dmg
Two-headed Lunge ~ Targets one, causes flinch, around 15-20 dmg
Menace ~ Counter move, forces one person to the back and lose MP
Free-move ~ Creates a clone of itself that can also attack
Prep for the battle by letting everyone hold an Herb or two in their pouches.
If you haven't been using equips at all, like I haven't up to now, I'd suggest
trying out the stuff you pillaged from this very dungeon. Anyway, have
Leucos start out by casting Sthen to improve your offense, with the Hero and
Axios attacking in the first round. Now, *every* round, heal the person who
got hit by Cannon Breath. Generally, Orthos (and its clones) will act last
every turn, so if one character is KO'd, revive and heal them in the same
turn, since Distant Howl is used often. If your healer(s) are running low on
MP, have them attack one of the clones since they tend to fade and Overkill
with one hit, regaining some MP. If you're ever being overwhelmed by clones,
have Axios cast Fulgar or Byrnge, since clearing out two clones would be
enough to regain the MP used for those spells. Eventually Orthos will fall
by whittling away at its HP, or run away like one time I went through this.
Either way, you'll get the full EXP and drops and whisked out of the dungeon.
For those curious, my party's levels at this point were around 9-10.
-- Laconia Outskirts / Laconia: In Town --
Victorious, head back to Laconia, where the whole town almost throws you a
parade. Gazuth does one better: Lets you plunder the town's Warehouse. Open
all the chests to gain WINTER CAP, REL'ALL ROOT, TOTAL PHYSIC, SCALY ARMOR,
SCALY SHIELD, SEED OF POWER, CAMPING KIT, PICK-ME-UP, MARINER'S SHIELD and
FIRE ETHERSTONE. Now that you've done your raiding, take up Gazuth's wife's
offer to stay the night, where Gazuth will announce in the morning that the
ship is fixed. Head down to the beach to automatically board the ship.

Deja vu?
This'll be like the last time we were at sea, except you'll only be using the
hero, Leucos and Axios. At least you're stronger this time around. You'll
have a gauntlet of four battles before coming face to face with Kraken. Again.
Kraken strategy:
Attacks - Maelstorm ~ large wave of water, attunes, ~20 damage
Bash ~ one target, ~30 damage
Curious Dance ~ target's STR is lowered
I was tempted to just copy/paste from above to see if anyone would notice,
since you'd essentially be doing the same thing. Beat the flanking enemies,
forcing Kraken to advance. Strengthen up with Sthen to make this go quicker
and beat down on Kraken. Keep your HP up and Kraken should go down, even if
you're two members short from before.

First, take the North path on right to head toward the Sorcerist building.
Use the statue for the hero to learn Queth, Ise and Rel'rem; Leucos learns
Byrnge, Paralyze and Rel'rem; Axios learns Rulgarum, Quaithar and Stall;
Nymph teaches Dead Center 3 and Striker 3 for the Touch Screen. Backtrack to
South, then take the North path on the left to reach Sparta: North. Continue
up to reach Sparta: Temple of Hera.
Go inside and use the altar so the hero learns Focus and Basic Arts; Leucos
learns Menace and Reaper Strike; Axios learns Focus, Settle Down! and
Tornado Brand. The nearby Nymph teaches Triple Trouble 1 and Speed Spheres 1
for the Touch Screen power ups.
Before going through with the story, I'd suggest stocking up on items now,
since it'll be a little while (read: two dungeons' worth) before we'll get to
another town. I'd suggest picking up a Travel Cap and using the Alchemist to
unlock Vigor for at least one person, since free healing tends to be helpful.
And some Herbs would be nice, if you're low.
Anyway, head inside the Eatery, right by the entrance as you came into town
via the beach. You'll witness a scene where you learn about Heracles sitting
in jail for a dine and dash. But wait, isn't the main character Heracles?
Let's go check that out. Talk to the prison guard, who's standing on the West
wall of Sparta: South, to learn about needing a pass. Go to Sparta: Beach and
talk to the person standing outside the Guardhouse. He'll direct you to visit
the Item Shop for a pass, which is where we'll be going now. From the Item
Shop owner, you'll learn that the prison guard likes Lily the Dancer, which
you can use to your advantage. Head back to the prison guard (last chance to
stock up on items for awhile) and bribe him with necklaces that Axios happens
to have, and you'll be granted access to the jail.
Heracles will reveal that he's been having an odd dream, the same dream from
the beginning scenes of the game with the mysterious person and the platform.
Heracles decides he wants to break out now, and you'll basically assist in his
escape, with Gazuth coming in to join the party. Gazuth will throw a switch,
we run back into the jail cell and we (literally) jump into the next dungeon.

examine the skull to gain a REL'ALL ROOT. Head back to the main hallway and
keep going East, where Gazuth will comment about getting lost in here. I'm
not sure how, since the whole dungeon is a straight line without deviations,
but whatever. Examine the skull in the corner for RUSTY AXE and use the
Magic Flower if you're running low on MP. Keep going North for the next area.
Step on the switch to the left to lower the water level and raise a bridge.
Cross it and ignore the other switch on the left for now. Continue down the
hallway until you reach the stairs that go nowhere and enter the room in the
back. Open the skulls for COMBAT GARB and REL'ALL ROOT and the chest for a
PHYSIC. Now, backtrack to the switch we passed to lower the bridge, but more
importantly, raise a platform for the stairs that went nowhere. Head back to
those stairs to open a chest with 300 D and the Northern most chest at the
dead end, containing RUSTY SHIELD. Take the other set of stairs to continue
to the next screen.
This is just a linear path, like most of this dungeon. See why it's hard to
believe Gazuth got lost down here? Just make your way to the long flight of
stairs to taste freedom.

Gazuth and Heracles, as well as a few guards back in Sparta. It'll look like
a giant circle or wheel as you approach.
-- Collapsed Taphus --
Might as well raise no objections to Heracles coming along since he'll join
the team anyway. Gazuth mentions why he was previously lost in the Execution
Pit, since he was one of Daedalus' apprentices, having been exiled from his
home port. Suddenly the Taphus begins to shake, so it looks like it's time
to do some investigating.
Start by heading down both sets of stairs in the Small Room area. Don't let
the layout of the map fool you; this is a linear, straightforward dungeon with
a few turns here and there to draw out more encounters. Check the chest for a
RUSTY DAGGER in the right enclave and take the stairs at the end of the hall.
Follow the path and more shaking will occur. Take the North path for chests;
inside, STAINED SWORD and PICK-ME-UP are yours for the taking. From there,
round your way up and follow the passage down. Use the Magic Flower to restore
everyone's MP since, from B3 and onwards, you'll be coming across the Axion,
who dodges all physical attacks and can only be damaged by magic.
At B3, we're about halfway through this dungeon now. Take the West path at
the fork to grab RUSTY SPEAR inside a chest. Backtrack and take the Eastern
path. Along the way, another chest will show up with RUSTY ARMOR inside.
Take the stairs down to B4.
Make your way to the branching path and go West, unless you're in dire need
of an Herb; if you are, then head North to grab it, then come back down here.
Head North, to the "top" of the square, finding an INANE DAGGER inside the
nearby chest. From there, keep going West; as tempting as it is, there's
nothing to be found in the Southwest corner. Use the Magic Flower along the
way if you need MP healing. Just past the opening will be another chest, this
one with LEATHER SHIELD. Grab it and head down the stairs to B5.
There's nothing behind you/West of the stairs, so continue heading down the
path. At the square's corner, you'll overhear people talking, with someone
mentioning immortals. Investigate further and save before walking toward the
center of the square, since it's boss battle time.
Hypnos strategy:
Attacks - Sleep Gas ~ targets everyone, causes sleep
Quaithe ~ spell that targets everyone, ~30 dmg
Terron ~ spell that targets everyone, ~30 dmg
Bash ~ one target, causes attune, ~30 dmg
Yeah, so Hypnos hits hard. Return the favor by casting Sthen and unloading
physical attacks on the boss. At the end of each turn, Hypnos will create
a mini-Hypnos called Hypnodi, which acts like Orthros clones, but not as
annoying. Keep your HP up with your designated healers (mine tends to be the
hero and Leucos) and keep clearing the field of Hypnodi while focusing on
the boss. If your healers need to regain some MP, let them one-shot the
mini-boss clones since they should be hitting hard enough to Overkill,
especially since I'm still using starting weapons. Keep up the barrage of
attacking and healing and you'll have another boss battle won. And for those
curious, my levels ranged from 13-14, to get a feel for survivability.
-- Sparta Outskirts --
From the Taphus, start heading East, staying North of the ramp and Checkpoint
below. After passing the ramp, a dialogue box will appear, reminding you not
to lose Gazuth's letter of introduction. Continue going East and, after
passing around the cliff, start heading North until you can see a town. Take
the road to get into town, since the rocks may impede your progress.

As you walk into town, Heracles suggests getting some food. There's only a
tavern in this town, so I hope he'll be okay with getting a drink. Not that
you need to get anything, for those frugal shoppers amongst you out there.
First, let's head over to the Item Shop to deliver the message and 2000 D
from that person way back at Forest Hamlet's exit. For doing so, the owner
rewards you with KNITTED SCARF.
Now, move on to the Northern section of town. Let's stop by the Alchemist's
shop first; there's a Prometheus statue in their basement to teach your party
members some magic spells. The hero gains access to Byrnge, Illume and Powra;
Leucos picks up Fulgar, De'Girdall and Powra; Axios with Rem, De'Girdall
and Quicken; Heracles gets Quaithe; Eris gains Poison, Sprim and Girdall. I'd
highly recommend unlocking Eris' Lucky Charm to reduce her MP consumption.
The next town isn't too far away from here, though.
To get the story going again, approach the Northwestern house located in the
Mycenae: North screen. Noga will approach, unlocking the door to let you see
Al. Although Al seems to be catatonic and Noga bids you to follow him down
into the basement to explain. Eh, might as well follow the strange man into
the basement. Noga shows you a Crasis; almost like a mini Taphus, which he
claims is the cause for Al's current state. The party regroups and thinks the
whole situation is odd, so get out of the house to discuss it. The team
further discuss that this is all just distractions, so a consensus is made to
continue on to Mount Olympus. Attempt to leave town, preferably from the
North screen's exit, and the nearby guard will mention needing to pass through
the Field of Warriors and that a few garrisons have already went in and failed
to return. Sounds like fun.

Hopefully you took the Mycenae: North's exit, because the temple should be
easy to see from there. Follow the path Northeast and enter.
Once inside, approach the statue to teach the hero Cover and Dire Slash;
Leucos gets Cover, Inspire and Dire Shot; Axios learns Cover, Inspire and
Dire Shot; Heracles picks up Inspire and Helmsplitter. Nothing for Eris, and
like at Mycenae, the nearby Nymph doesn't teach any new Touch Screen powers.
Let's exit the temple and headdue West, until you meet the road. Then follow
that road to the Northwest and the Field of Warriors.

All enemies here, except for the Peltast, are Undead; Peltasts are only part
of the super challenging random encounters, so most of the time, you'll only
be going up against Undead types, meaning they can revive themselves with
minimal HP at the end of each turn.
Anyway, when you first enter, you'll notice the soldiers strewn about, all of
them similar to how Al was, except these guys are all on the ground. Except
for that group coming over to greet you. With a battle. Take out the group
of five Immortos and you'll be free to continue exploring. Follow the path
here and as you make the turn around the bend up North, you'll find a chest
with GUARD'S SHIELD inside. Round the corner and pass the path to the next
screen and continue heading East to find another chest with BEAST FANG. Go
back and take the path North to the next screen.
At the crossing, take the path to the West to pick up GUARD'S ARMOR inside the
chest at the end. Backtrack to the crossing and head North; the Eastern path
only contains a Magic Flower for your troubles. Take that long, curving path
to the West to find two chests at the end: 1000 D and FARMER'S SCYTHE. Trek
your way back and take the exit North.

Inn | Refresh HP/MP | 100 D
After Eudorus and Patroclus take you to Thessaly, you'll be introduced to
Achilles. He recognizes the hero as Heracles, but is confused about what he's
sensing. Part Nymph, he can sense some things but not as well as the Nymphs
from the Doubtwood. He'll walk away and talk to Eudorus and Patroclus, saying
that he senses Heracles, yes, but that there's something else in our party,
too. That something else is means enough to keep an eye on us.
Follow Achilles upstairs and tell Achilles that yes, you're going to Mount
Olympus. Even if you say no, he'll just say you're going there, later. With
that established, he brings up Piazza, locked away in the Tower of Eld. To
go up Mount Olympus, one of the royal line of Athens must open Heaven's Gate;
Athens was recently hit, leaving Piazza as the only remaining successor to
Athens's throne. So we're gonna have to save her from General Nestor.
First, head to the Watchtower, located near the Inn. Climb it and jump off
the edge to the nearby cliff. Inside the two chests are an ICE BOW and an
IRON SCYTHE, along with field items scattered about. Make your way over to
the Sorcerist Shop and go down into the basement to find a Prometheus statue.
Here, the hero can learn Quaithe, Fulgar and Rel'para; Leucos gains Thrall,
Rel'pois and Rel'para abilities; Axios gets Megalo, Ment and Illume; Heracles
learns Isell and Illume; Eris gains the use of Megalo and Ment. The Nymph
teaches Roulette 1 to power up some spells with the Touch Screen.
Stop by for mostly armor, since the Tower's chests are mostly weapons based.

As we're leaving town, Axios starts to get excited about this detour, possibly
for the chance at meeting a princess. Once the party's done talking, start
making your way to the Northeast where you'll be stopped about a third of the
way to the tower. Achilles will come marching in, saying he's off to Troy to
help the war efforts there. Yeah, I caught what Eris said here, too. Achilles
makes a request to see Piazza afterwards, saying the two of them are linked by
fate. Then they'll march off and continue following the road to the tower in
the Northeast.
As you approach the tower, guards will come out, saying you can't pass. Well,
Heracles isn't having any of that, so he tries shoving his way in. The guards
then band together and counteract Heracles' efforts, which brings about some
chatting, not wanting to beat these guys up. They say they're not immortal,
or "divine warriors," like General Nestor's elite, so Heracles knocks them
all out. Enter the castle and you're prompted to save.
For this dungeon, I'm going to be using clock notation, to make things more
efficient. This has 12 o'clock pointing due North, 3 o'clock due East, etc.
Just like the face of an analog clock.
In Floor 1, just open up all the chests, then take the stairs up. In clock-
wise order, the chests contain MAGE SWORD, PICK-ME-UP, STURDY BRANCH,
POTENT PHYSIC and 2000 D.
From the stairs, go to the inner circle and open the chest for STURDY BRANCH.
Throw the switch in the inner circle at 12 o'clock, behind the pillar. Exit
the inner circle at 8 o'clock and head toward the stairs, grabbing the chest
with GATEKEEPER'S BOW along the way. Ignore the empty chest near the stairs
and head up to Floor 3.
Throw the switch at 2 o'clock and go across to the 9 o'clock position. Inside
the chest is a SORCERER'S STAFF, use the nearby switch and take the stairs
at 5 o'clock to reach Floor 4.
Hit the switch at 6 o'clock, enter the inner circle at 7 o'clock and get to
the 3 o'clock position. Use that switch and head back inside the inner circle
to press the switch at 10 o'clock. Open the chest for SILVER AXE and approach
the stairs. Grab another chest with REL'ALL ROOT nearby, then go upstairs.
To start Floor 5, Axios comments on what an annoying person Nestor is, to
build a tower with these gate and switch mechanisms. Head around the circle
clockwise and enter the inner cirle at 3 o'clock. Hit the switch and exit the
circle at 9 o'clock. Inside the chest is SCUTUM, a useful shield for Heracles
for the upcoming boss. Hit the nearby switch and to all the way across to the
3 o'clock position. Roll down to 6 o'clock and open the chest for RUSTY AXE.
Take the flight of stairs up to Floor 6.
This is the last floor before the boss, and thus contains the most switches.
Go into the inner circle at 8 o'clock, throw the switch at 6 o'clock. Get to
the out circle and throw the switch at 10 o'clock. Go back inside the circle
and use the switch at 11 o'clock. Backtrack to the stairs you took to get to
this floor and hit the switch at 3 o'clock. Grab the chest with EARTH ARMOR
and head back inside the inner circle to exit at 2 o'clock. Grab the chest
for a MODEL HEADDRESS and take the stairs up to Floor 7.
Once on the seventh floor, approach the inner circle and Sphinx will appear.
Sphinx strategy:
Attacks - Repeat Magic ~ After every spell, Sphinx uses the spell too
Flash ~ It's never worked on me yet, but it targets everyone
Queth ~ Single target spell
Splinterpunch ~ Single target attack
Sphinx counters everything; every attack you try, it'll counterattack; every
spell you cast, whether it's support, healing or offense, it'll cast for its
own benefit. So we'll need to prep for this as best we can, before the start
of the fight. For those wanting a level recommendation, my entire party was
level 16, except Axios at level 17. Plus I've been living off of whatever I
find in chests, so you might have better equipment all around.
I found the Peak ability extremely useful, if not essential. Leucos had the
Acme Badge (from Hypnos), Heracles had the Toy Helm (from a Doubtwood chest,
seeing as I had nothing better anyway) and Eris had the Model Headdress (from
a chest in this very dungeon). To go along with their Peaks, Leucos had
Counter, Vigor and naturally used Evade and Dual Strike; Heracles had those
four abilities minus Counter; Eris with Defend and Half MP, from the Luck
Amulet upgrade. Hero had Shield and Defend, while Axios had Evade and various
Null status equipment. Have everyone equip an Herb (or two) in their pouch
to make do with healing, since we won't be using Pow. At all.
Start out by Sthen-ing the group, letting Sphinx gain that effect with its
Repeat Magic ability. Follow that with Eris Ment-ing the group up. The
reason for these two spells is Sphinx mainly used magic against me, and if it
did attack, Peak activating Evade/Counter/Defend/etc pretty much nullified
everything but magic, which Ment strengthens your defenses against. Sthen
also benefits the party because we'll be attacking solely with skills. Hero
used Dire Slash, Leucos used Dire Shot, Axios used Tornado Brand, Heracles
kept up the attack with Surgical Strike (from the Scutum shield) and Eris is
left as your healing item user, sitting in the back row after using Ment. When
you attack, those counterattacks have a good chance of being dodged away or
kept to damage in the low 10s, which Vigor will fix right up. Basically,
healing shouldn't even be necessary. Just continue pounding away with the
skills mentioned above, and with abilities activating, this should be over
in a few turns.
-- Tower of Eld: Floor 7 --
Okay, so we beat the Sphinx. We can't seem to save yet; the option to do so
is greyed out. Go up to 12 o'clock and hit the switch, opening the cell that
contains Piazza. Step inside and watch as the party tries to explain what
their intentions are; also see how Axios' game works. When all's said and
done, Heracles rams Piazza, knocking her out so that you can carry her out.
So, umm, we saved the princess?
Head over to take the stairs down and we're greeted with guards, the same
guards that Heracles knocked out from before. "This might be the worst
rescue ever." Once you beat them, jump out the window and be glad it wasn't
Axios trying to protect Piazza's fall. Take the exit out of here.
From the Tower of Eld, make your way roughly in a Northwestern direction.
You'll come upon a checkpoint; this one you can pass through, unlike the one
back at the Taphus, if you decided to detour that way. Once you pass, a few
stronger encounters await you.
From the checkpoint, head toward the Northeast, ignoring Piazza's directions
as to where to go. You'll come across a clearing with three chests, holding
PICK-ME-UP, LETHAL ROD and a POKER. Now backtrack toward the checkpoint and
follow Piazza's general direction by trudging along the road in a general
North by Northwest path, ignoring the flag on the map and heading toward that
town up North. It might be a welcome sight to heal by the time we get there.

Head North, up the ramp, then follow the road East to reach the temple.
Inside, the hero will learn War Cry and True Friend; Leucos picks up the
True Friend ability; Axios gets True Friend and Sing; Heracles learns War Cry,
True Friend and Smash Punch; Eris gets Shadowpin. The nearby Nymph has no new
powerups for the Touch Screen.
Exit the temple and follow the road West. The road will start to curve South
and as you get closer, Leucos will start to complain. Piazza will assure
Leucos that Heaven's Gate (and thus, Mount Olympus) is just a little further
South, which after curving around the mountain, you'll reach. As you approach,
a save dialog will appear, warning you of a dangerous battle ahead. This will
be your only chance at any save for the next few hours. And since we're not
getting out of here in awhile, my levels before starting were around level 18,
so try that for a recommended level. When ready, go in.
-- Heaven's Gate -- [07faq]
Again, I repeat. You will not be able to save for awhile. In fact, not until
you're able to get back to here again will you have any opportunity to save.
For a time frame, it took me about three hours to get back here and save
again, but that should be an upper limit of how long it takes.
With that said, the gate itself looks impenetrable, and the crowd gathered
around holds it with respect. Piazza, not knowing what to do, approaches the
gate and a voice rings out, opening the path for Piazza and your party, with
everyone else bouncing off. As you pass through, a light sucks your party
up into the sky.

Start by heading North, taking some stairs as you travel to a corner. There,
head East, climbing up some more stairs. At the end, go South and pick up a
chest along the way; inside it holds TOTAL PHYSIC. From the chest, climb the
stairs going West, climbing another set of stairs West. You should be in the
middle of the map; take note of this spot, since we'll be revisiting this area
twice more. Continue heading West, then turn North to go up some stairs,
picking up a QUAITHAR DART in the chest along the way. As you make your way
East, hug the bottom of the walkway until you see a jump icon; do so to find
a chest with SENTRY'S AXE and a Magic Flower nearby. Jump back down to get
to the spot I mentioned a few sentences back and head West to retrace your
steps to where we jumped off.
At the corner, a Magic Flower grows, which you might want to save for when we
come back through here again this trip. From the flower, go South, heading up
the stairs to go West and hug the top part of the walkway to find a spot to
jump at. Inside the chests, you'll find POTENT PHYSIC, RUSTY SWORD and a
HEALING STAFF. Take another jump down to find a Magic Flower and a chest
containing PHYSIC. Jump from this platform yet again for a PICK-ME-UP in the
nearby chest. Make one last jump to land at that center spot. Head West
again to retrace your steps back to where we jumped the second time, past
the first jump spot, past the Magic Flower and up the stairs going West.
You'll be greeted with two chests at the end, which holds an ANGEL FEATHER
and a PHYSIC. Go North from the plundered chests, up a long set of stairs and
stand in the middle of the circle; you'll be transported to the next area.
-- Gate of Heroes --
Head North a little and the characters will go on auto-pilot. Leucos sees the
gate and thinks we're back at Heaven's Gate. Heracles seems to recognize it,
and then we're treated to the hero's flashback of this area. Apparently this
is an area where fallen or misguided heroes are tested, and at that cue, some
Nymphs appear, circling around both the hero and Heracles. The Nymphs begin
pushing the two into the gate, the others not really doing anything, and the
gate closes, sucking both the hero and Heracles up into the air for their own
dungeon run. Fun.
This is essentially a gauntlet of all the previous bosses the party, as a
whole, have beaten. Only now it's going to be the hero and Heracles, only, to
tackle the previous bosses. Did I mention we're not allowed to save yet?
There's still random encounters, but their party size is more comprable to
your own. Anyway, start heading North to find a chest holding RUSTY SPEAR and
a Magic Flower. When you approach the circle, you'll come face to face with
the Icono Kraken.
Icono Kraken strategy:
Attacks - Bash ~ Single target, knocks character to back row, lose some MP
Maelstrom ~ Single target, attunes character
Yeah, not much to say here other than attack, attack, attack. If a bash
attack pushed you to the back row, advance them on the next turn. Even though
there's only the two of you, you're a lot stronger than the first two times
you tangled with the Kraken.
After the win, the circle vanishes and nearby you'll spot a chest. Open it
for STEEL CESTUS and start heading East for another chest with HOPLON inside.
Refill your MP with the Magic Flower if needed and continue on to the next
circle with another boss waiting for you inside.
Icono Orthos strategy:
Attacks - Distant Howl ~ Targets all in a single row, ~15 dmg
Cannon Breath ~ Single target
The trick here is to not let Orthos create more than two clones at a time.
I started out with Heracles casting Sthen and generally letting Heracles do
the damage to the real Orthos. Keep healing down to only needing to heal one
of the two characters at a time so, on the next turn, both characters can
defeat the resulting two clones. If one character gets menaced to the back
row, attack the clone and bring the back row character forward. Keep up the
attacks on the clones so you're not outnumbered, throwing in an attack on the
real Orthos when you have a clear shot.
With the win, watch the circle disappear and open the nearby chest to receive
RUSTY SHIELD. Continue South, passing another chest with GALEA, and head up
the set of stairs for another deja vu boss battle. Before stepping up to the
circle, you might consider using anti-sleep abilities/items.
Icono Hypnos strategy:
Attacks - Bash ~ Single target, knocks character to back row, lose some MP
Terron ~ Magic spell, targets all
Sleep Gas ~ Targets all, can put you to sleep
Quaithe ~ Magic spell, targets all in a row
Being put to sleep can be a hinderance here. Otherwise, treat this exactly
the same as the Orthos battle. Healing shouldn't be as big a priority since
Hypnos' attacks aren't as damaging compared to what Orthos was capable of.
Otherwise, this isn't that different from the first Hypnos encounter, save
only being able to use the hero and Heracles.
And now that Icono Hypnos is defeated, watch the circle disappear again, grab
the chests with ORDINARY NECTAR and FIGHTER'S SWORD and continue West. Go up
the stairs to encounter the last revisited boss battle: Icono Sphinx.
Icono Sphinx strategy:
Attacks - Repeat Magic ~ After all party spells, Sphinx copy-cats it
Flash ~ Still didn't work on me, and I'm glad it didn't here
Queth ~ Single target spell
Splinterpunch ~ Single target attack, interrupts "charge" attacks
I personally wouldn't bother with using any spells in this fight, since you
could ill afford a misstep. I let the hero go crazy with Berserk and let
Heracles use Surgical Strike, when not throwing the Hero an herb to survive
hits with a lowered defense while berserked. Again, the Peak ability was
helpful here, especially coupled with Vigor to regain some HP at the end of
each turn. Just beware of Splinterpunch, which can canel moves like Dire Hit.
With the gauntlet of boss battles over with the hero and Heracles are reunited
with the other party members. After all of that, they're still not sure who
the real Heracles is. Anyway, head to the portal circle on the left; don't
worry, there isn't a boss fight on that circle.
-- Path to Heaven --
Field items: Calmblossom x3
Go South, climbing up a set of stairs as you go. At the Magic Flower, start
going East, climbing up another set of stairs. At the "dead end corner," go
North, climbing yet again up more stairs; another Magic Flower waits for you
if you need it. Take the stairs heading West, moving toward the looming
building coming into view. Go straight into the temple, unless you want to
battle a few more enemies, since there's nothing around the temple's platform.
-- Path to Heaven: Inside Temple --
Astrea appears, pronouncing judgement on the party. Apparently, you're known
collectively as "the unforgivable ones" and must prove yourselves to be
righteous. I'm not sure what happens when you say yes, you're sure that you
are Heracles, since I chose no, I wasn't sure; storywise, there seemed to be
some doubt. Anyway, none of you should exist and Astrea is showing all of you
mercy by allowing you to exist, in order to prove yourselves; "if you wish to
continue your existence on this mortal plane, you must prove your
righteousness." Then you're sucked into a ball of light and thrown back to
Heaven's Gate. The plan now: go to Troy. Piazza suggests we go through
Heaven's Haven, that town we were in before all this. So let's go there now.
-- Heaven's Haven Outskirts / Heaven's Haven --
Follow the road West, then North around the mountain, sticking to the road
until it branches. Go back down the ramp and enter town.
You'll find the town in ruins. The inn and item shop are still open, oddly
enough. And the windmill seems to be the only building not burned down. As
you head to the stairs, leading to the second tier of town, Leucos urges us
to get to Troy even quicker. Try and head out through the Eastern exit and
you'll learn what happened to the village. It seems like the person respon-
sible for what happened went to the East and Heracles is a general in their
army now. Which is odd, since that now makes three Heracles. Let's go to see.
Set out from town heading East until you come across a hill heading South.
Take that path down and at the foot of the hill, continue going East, banking
up a little Northeast. You'll come into a Praire, running into a soldier from
the Tower of Eld. Appearntly he's deserting Nestor after hearing about the
battle with Trantia to the West. After he runs off, you'll be thrown into a
battle with five Immortos, who we haven't seen since the Field of Warriors.
Take them all out and you'll have access to the town of Driscus. But things
seem a little odd there.

That something odd is random encounters in town. Oh, and all the shops are
locked up, so you can't get to the Inn right now, either. So, let's help this
town out, to try and show how righteous we are. Hug the North wall to come
across the Watchtower; enter it, jump off the side and find two chests off the
map containing ICE CESTUS and ICE SPEAR. Jump off the cliff and continue
hugging the North wall until you find the opening leading to the Northeast
corner. Approach the building on the right and you'll be warned of its creepy
look, but decide to enter anyway. Inside, you'll be given a prompt to save.

Starting out in the Southeast passage, move toward the intersection in the
North west. As you approach the intersection, General Heracles appears
saying he's on a mission to destroy the Craseis, which I think may be the
plural form of Crasis, since both forms are used throughout the dialogue. The
Craseis are capable of creating those immortal soldiers you've been finding
in various areas, like those running rampant in the town. He'll leave, but we
have some exploring left to do, starting with the Southwest passage. At the
end, you'll find three chests holding PHYSIC, SHORTBOW and CAPTAIN'S SPEAR.
Backtrack to the intersection and take the Northwest passage this time; again
you'll find two chests with DAMASCUS SWORD and STAFF OF LIFE inside. Head to
the intersection again and take the Northeast passage to the stairs.
The second level looks even more straightforward. Follow the path to the
bend to pick up REL'ROC ROOT in the chest. Continue heading North and turn
East toward the enclave for a Magic Flower and three chests containing
STEEL ARMOR, MYSTIC'S CAP and PICK-ME-UP. Continue heading North to that big
opening where, you guessed it, a boss battle is about to occur. But first,
General Heracles explains a little more about the Crasis and then he tackles
the device. The good general walks away and the monster being held captive
awakens, leaving you to deal with it.
Medusa strategy:
Attacks - Menace ~ Targets one, forces you to the back row, lose some MP
Ogress's Gaze ~ Targets one, petrify status
Terron ~ Spell, targets all, does ~30 dmg
Sthen and Ment the group with Leucos and Eris, respectively. Clear out the
Nidro Crasis flankers, but be sure to split up your attacks since one of the
two can use Lie Low to avoid being targetted; also beware that they are Undead
so overkill them to finally be rid of them for the fight. Then just pile on
attacks, letting Eris get in a Chant -> Byrn here and there to quicken the
battle. Ogress's Gaze isn't a huge hinderance and gets cured after a few
turns anyway. Just enjoy the easier battle after the boss gauntlet. Level
recommendations had me at level 19-20 here.
After the battle, the party is reminded of another Crasis they've seen back
at Mycenae: The one with Noga being mysterious and Al in a vegetative state.
Perhaps you're meant to destroy the Crasesis? You'll automatically start
walking out of the dungeon to catch the immortal soldiers turning into ether.
Congratulations, the town of Driscus is now safe and open for your business.

As you get back to town, General Nestor is there, watching his Divine Warriors
turning into ether. He laments about Piazza dying at the tower, only to be
renewed with even more desire to take her into his arms when she speaks out
against him. Nestor then runs off with General Heracles giving chase, leaving
you free to go about the town.
Pick up the field items and treasure at the Watchtower if you didn't while the
town was infested with enemies. Then head into the Sorcerist shop's basement
to find a statue of Prometheus. The hero will pick up Isell, Powtes and
Rel'pois; Leucos learns De'Sprim, Paralann and Powtes; Axios gains access to
Pneuma, Thrall and Attune; Heracles get to use Powtes and Elemem; Eris can
master Pneuma and Intall. The nearby Nymph gives access to Numerals 3 to
power up your spells via the Touch Screen. Once you're done, leave town via

Remember, we're heading into enemy territory here, so stock up on supplies if
you feel it necessary to do so.

As you're wandering around, a Trantian soldier mistakes Heracles for the
General that you just met, running after Nestor no doubt. Then, of all things,
a giant horse appears rolling into view. Yup, I thought of the Trojan Horse
myself. It seems the troops here are being sent on Agon's orders and Piazza
does some trickery to get you all on board.
Once inside the horse, attempt to leave through the back door, which causes a
mystery to pop up. Heracles pushes through the door, allowing you to take
the stairs down. There's nothing behind all the closed doors, so head
straight ahead to the room with the door wide open. Hey look, a Crasis. So
now the team has a moral dilemma: to break the Cra-- oh, nevermind. Heracles
already smashed it, and here comes the boss.
Chimera strategy:
Attacks - Thrallan Voice ~ Targets a single row, confusion status
Megallo ~ Spell, targets all
Byrnge Breath ~ Targets a single row, lowers magic resist, ~20 dmg
Just like in the Medusa fight, stat buff the team and defeat the flanking
clouds of evil. Then focus your attacks on the Chimera in much the same way,
but this time letting Eris Chant -> Isell instead. Keep up the attacking,
spellcasting and heal as necessary and this will feel like a slightly more
annoying Medusa fight if confusion hits often enough. Persevere and you win.
For level recommendations, I was at level 20 at this point.
The soldiers will start turning into ether and then monsters suddenly attack
the top deck of the horse, leaving the party to deal with them. You'll go up
and see them all milling about. You'll have three back to back encounters
before glimpsing the top of the horse again for banter about having defeated
half of the enemies, coincidentally at the halfway point on the map, before
going through another set of three back to back fights.
After securing the top deck, you'll be roughly three-quarters of the way to
your destination. There's going to be a lot of story-line progression here
without any fights to get into. Leucos will be atop the horse and spot
Patroclus. The caravan will stop to let you all run out and see her.
From Patroclus, you'll learn that the Grecian troops are returning for now,
due to Troy's defenses being too formidable. As for Achilles, he's waiting
near Troy for Piazza. Patroclus continues retreating with the troops,
warning you to be careful since Troy is also using the immortal soldiers.
You'll regroup inside the horse when General Heracles barges in. He explains
that Agon was a general who rebelled against Trantia and must've been the one
who set up the Crasis in the horse. In offhand comments, the general says he
feels like he's someone else with Heracles' soul inside him, which you can go
ahead and agree to. Axios suspects that there's a special Crasis out there
with Heracles' soul trapped inside. Suddenly, Leucos isn't feeling up to
destroying the Craesis, since that would destroy the three Heracles that we've
come to know. But oh well, the general throws the remaining soldiers off the
horse, takes the wheel and charges headfirst toward Troy.
-- Thrace --
Field items: Wakeblossom, Mithridate, Herb, Calmblossom
Spotting the Greek tents, the party disembarks to find Achilles looking beat
up. Piazza is revealed to be holding Achilles' secret, touched upon when
Achilles mentioned Cassandra being the one to talk about their link together.
Heracles then brings Achilles into a tent, with the party deciding that they
should go to Troy to find Cassandra and destroy the Crasis. Piazza suggests
that she stay with Achilles, leaving you to go to Troy.
Before heading off on the journey, speak with the soldier milling around
outside of Achilles' tent. He'll give you SCRAP IRON x5. After getting this
loot, which will come in handy a bit later, leave through the South exit.

Field items (Temple): Calmblossom x3, Wakeblossom x3, Herb x2
From Thrace, follow the road Southeast and continue along until you reach a
fork in the road. At the fork, go East to enter the temple for more skills.
Hero will pick up Mercy Strike and Shadowbinder; Axios gets High Profile and
Insight; Heracles solely gains High Profile; Eris lastly learns Insight and
Charm Punch. The Nymph teaches nothing new and Leucos gets no new skills.

Approach the gates to find General Heracles looking over how to get in. Then
he suggests to use "that thing." If you were expecting to use the Trojan
horse to get into Troy, you would be right. So start heading back to Thrace,
where you left Achilles.
On the overworld map, as the party approaches Thrace, General Heracles comes
rolling into view. You'll jump in and the general will use the horse to ram
into the gate. Huh, not how I expected the horse to be used. Eris sums it up
best: "These Heracles guys are anything but subtle." So it's time to find
Cassandra and wreck that Crasis. Head to the next screen by heading East.

As you walk into town, you'll see monsters abound. It's compared to the
fortress or Heaven's Haven. The general then runs off on his own to take out
the Crasis and pretty much ordering the party to focus solely on finding
Cassandra.
When you regain control, without going up the stairs, go North to change
screens. Enter the Watchtower to get up to the top, then jump off the side
to have access to the Sorcerist, Weapon and Blacksmith shops. We haven't seen
a Blacksmith since Mycenae; Al's Crasis is at Mycenae. Anyway, go into the
Sorcerist's shop and head down into the basement. Approach the statue of
Prometheus and speak to it for the hero to learn Byrngarm, Illumore and
Rel'thra; Leucos gets Byrngarm, Rem and Rel'thra; Axios learns Terron, Sieve
and Ta'byrna; Heracles just gets Illumore; Eris picks up Terron, Enmire and
Ta'byrna. The Nymph teaches Drag-On 3 for the Touch Screen spells. As for
that Scrap Iron we picked up in Thrace, the Blacksmith is where it's used.
From the Northern area of town, go East to the stairs and jump off, heading
toward the South path to get back to the center of town. Climb the stairs in
the center and head East to get to the castle.
-- Troy Castle --
Heracles seems to recognize this stange person. Apparently we've met this
person before... back at Mycenae? It's Noga...? Oh, no, not exactly. It's
General Agon of the Trantian army; why I didn't spot the backwards name thing
until now, I have no idea. Agon seems to recognize Axios, but he has no
recollection of meeting Agon prior to Mycenae. It seems Axios also has
amnesia, just like Heracles and the hero. They seem to have used the Craesis
together, causing doubt on Axios as a potential traitor. With this news,

Agon runs off and General Heracles runs after him; the general seems to be
doing this running off business quite often.
With control coming back to the party, you can try the castle's front gates,
but you'll find that they're locked. So let's try a different path. Start
heading North toward the tower in the corner and try and open the gates.
Tada, it seems unlocked, so let's explore down here.
Pass the knocked out guard and head down the stairs to go underground.
In the Underground Route, head East from the stairs and, as you approach the
corner, concern occurs within the group. If they see Heracles trapped in the
Crasis, they'll try and talk with Heracles rather than simply destroying the
machine. Once the meeting's over, stick close to the Eastern wall as you move
South through the passage. You'll spot two chests containing ILLUMORE ROOT
and STURDY BRANCH. Continue South, down the passage, then turn East when you
spot the soldier laying on the ground. Continue East, open the door and save
before going on. There's a fairly long boss battle through that door.
Prophasis strategy:
Attacks - Fulg / Ise / Byrn / Queth ~ Spell, single target
Terron / Hydroh / Pneuma ~ Spell, targets all
This shouldn't be as long a fight as I originally worded it. Before starting
the fight, equip Eris with Hermes' Wings for the Mega-Haste ability and pair
everyone up with Pinnacle/Peak plus Mindshield. Levels for everyone were at
24 across the board. You can even give the hero the Poker we found back near
the checkpoint into the Heaven's Haven area, since physical attacks will do
next to nothing; Mindshield can be added on with White Etherstones in the
pocket. Once setup, Chant with Eris, let Leucos Inspire Eris, let Axios Ment
the line with the hero and Heracles and let the hero and Heracles attack,
solely to change Prophasis' weakness. Now cast whatever spell that Prophasis
is weak to on the following turn, which should deal more than half of its HP;
you can tell it's weak to the spell if, when chosen, an arrow is pointing up
near the boss when you're "selecting" the boss with the spell. Everyone else
can do whatever, following Eris' "super effective" spell. Repeat what you did
in the second turn until you emerge victorious.
So, now that you've beaten Prophasis, you'll watch as it fades away, only to
reveal a perso-- oh no, that wasn't Heracles, was it? Oh good, it wasn't.
Even better, you've just rescued Cassandra and destroyed the Crasis all in one
go. Achilles and Piazza run into the scene, with Cassandra explaining the
curse put on her and being shocked at Achilles remembering her prophecy. She
explains that, as her heart darkened, she turned into that monster we just
beat up. As Cassandra's about to tell us (through Achilles) what the prophecy
is, General Agon pulls a Kaiba. And then proceeds to kill Achilles, learning
of his secret through Piazza. Then another interuption, this time with General
Heracles tackling General Agon; Agon tells Axios that they will meet again,
before he runs off. With Achilles' last words, he mentions the secret of
Athens Castle, but turns into ether before explaining it. Cassandra attempts
to relay the prophecy: "It will come to pass that, ?? ??????? ?? ???? ???? ??,
??? world ???? ?? destroyed. All the world's ??????? must ?? ?????????. The
power of the ?????? ????? ????? ?????? back to life." There's slight talk
about Agon having an evil aura, with the general sensing a great spirit in
Axios as well. On cue, the general runs away to try and destroy Craesis.
-- Troy Castle: South Tower / Basement Lab / Back Room --
Before we run off, take the previously locked South Tower in the Troy Castle
screen. There's no more enemies here, even in the Underground, so it'll be
quicker to explore. Head down the stairs in the tower, then start going
East in the Underground. Hug the North wall in the rectangular portion to
find two chests with PICK-ME-UP and GEMSTONE inside. Continue North, then
West at the corner, to find yourself back at the Basement Lab. Head North and
take one of the doors to enter the Back Room. Starting at the 12 o'clock
chest and going clockwise, you'll find RUSTY DAGGER, LONGBOW, nothing,
DIMIOS'S SCYTHE, UMBRAL STAFF and TROJAN SPEAR. Make your way back out to the
castle screen, since the castle is our next pillaging stop.
-- Troy Castle: Inside / South Alcove / North Alcove --
Head in through the main doors, then take the Southern path to reach the South
Alcove. Here, we'll find an ILLUMORE ROOT, ICE SHARD STAFF and LIVELY AXE for
the taking. Backtrack to Inside, then take the North path to reach the North
Alcove, where we'll find SUN CLOAK and POWTESMA ROOT to add to out inventory.
Once down, head back into town to progress the storyline.
-- Troy: Castle Gate --
Patroclus and Eudorus arrive, bringing their reinforcements with them. They
ask about Achilles and you explain what transpired with Agon. So they do as
Achilles asked and swear allegience to Piazza. She decides to go to Athens
and try to discover what Achilles was saying with his final breath. The team,
instead, chooses to get a ship, as per Axios' request. Go straight to the
Guardhouse on the beach and you're directed to a port town Southeast of here.
With that settled, the South exit opens up, so let's take it to that port.
Take the old man's advice and follow the road Southeast. You'll come across
a fork, with a temple clearly in sight. Go inside the temple to let the hero
and Heracles learn Charge! and Eris learn Soul Eater. The Nymph won't have
any new Touch Screen powers for you, so head back out and continue following
the road to find the port city. Leucos comments about it as you approach.

As you enter town, soldiers greet you at the entrance, saying to be on the

Fulgarum; Eris gets Hydroh, Enmirall and Ta'fulga. Nymph has no new skills.
With that taken care of, head East to the port.
You'll find General Heracles trying to get on a ship. The soldiers mention
that General Agon got reinstated by the king and in a turn of events, General
Heracles is relieved of his duties and being taken into custody. A voice
calls out that Gazuth and Hero were spotted, causing a distraction among the
guards. As you're about to enter the ship, a little boy runs up, saying that
the ship is booby trapped to catch Gazuth and Hero. He says to go East to
find a ship anchored there, and that he'll meet you there. Might as well,

heading to Trantia to sort this all out. We'll check on that ship, though.

of going South, head North from the dip to come across another one of those
clearings. Inside, you'll find a set of three chests holding ARGENT BOW,
SNEAK'S STAFF and a REL'ALL ROOT. Now head back to the dip in the road. That
location at the end of the cliff is our destination, and before stepping out
on the cliff, a save prompt will appear, warning that this will be the start
of a new adventure. When ready, head on in.

Once at the Small Cliff, go straight toward the ship. The party will board
automatically and suspect pirates. Turns out they're right, and you'll have
to beat a team of two thieves, two strikers and a mage. Once dispatched,
you'll have a breather to heal and/or reequip the team, then a back to back
battle with two strikers, a thief and two mages, and the same team that
started this whole mess. That should clear out all the pirates, letting that
little kid back at Miletus run onto the ship. He'll claim his treasure, the
hero certificates, which reminds Heracles of having a brother: Iphicles.
-- Dagat Pirate Ship: Hold / Small Cliff --
When you regain control, this whole area is filled with treasure. Starting
with the back room, you'll find PIRATE'S BOW, THIEF'S DAGGER, RUSTY DAGGER,
1000 D, RUSTY SWORD and RUSTY AXE. Explore the room a little more to find
chests with PLATINUM STAFF and RUSTY SCYTHE. Along the top/West wall on the
outer room are chests containing 10000 D, PIRATE LONGSWORD, and ILLUMORE ROOT.
Along the bottom/East wall, you'll find THIEF'S SCYTHE, 5000 D, PIRATE'S AXE
and REL'ALL ROOT. You can't save this booty yet; not until we reach the
next town, anyway.
After coming out of the hold, the party will begin to wonder where all the
pirates are and even who the captain is. The little kid perks up, explaining
that this ship belongs to the legendary Arnos, but no one in the group has
ever heard of him. On cue, Arnos appears, recognizing Axios; shakes hands and
Axios begins to remember his past. Arnos asks about the whereabouts of Agon,
prompting the party to be even more suspicious of Axios' connection. Axios
promises that he'll explain things later, but is more concerned with getting
somewhere. Arnos says we're close, and so we head off to wherever it is.

On the ship, Axios tells us to meet Oceanus, which happens to be that giant
thing in the water following after us. Axios' birthmark apparently begins
to ache, itch and burn all at once with Oceanus' appearance.
We make land at Cyprus: Cliff, and just continue heading North. At Cyprus,
again go North, through the path laid out between the torches. Then we come
upon a temple. Let's see what's inside, shall we?
-- Temple of Oceanus --
Field items: Herb, Mithridate, Calmblossom
Along the West wall, you can grab the openable chests to gain DARK NECKLACE,
MARINE CLOAK, RUSTY HELM and FLAME SHIELD. Along the Eastern wall, the chests
have RUSTY SHIELD, ORNATE HEADDRESS, RUSTY SPEAR and RUSTY ARMOR. After
collecting the contests, head to the watery area where an altar usually is.
Axios begins to recall his past, stating this started during the Titanomachy,
the War of the Titans, where the old and new gods clashed. The old decided
to unleash a "Weapon of Mythical Devastation:" the Typhon. Only Oceanus was
capable of stopping the Typhon and offered to help Zeus of the new gods; in
return, Zeus promised not to seal Oceanus deep beneath the earth and to offer
respect to Oceanus. So Typhon was beaten and Zeus breaks his promise, opting
to break Oceanus' spirit apart to split among humans. It turns out that
Oceanus' spirit was split into three, and the humans who carry Oceanus' spirit
are Arnos, Axios... and Agon.
At the end of the story, Axios learns Paralann, Remann, Thrallan and Sievann.
However, he stays in the middle of the pool, so head back to the ship and
attempt to board, where Arnos says he'll take us back to a port town. As for
the pillaging, he was simply taking back what was his and the little kid's
Hero Certificates were taken all at once with the pile. Axios then rejoins
and we learn from Leucos about why she's been acting as she has been: "With
his dying words, my father told me to live my life as a man." Something tells
me her father meant to tell her to live as a mortal, not as a male, but that's
just me. Axios then assures the team that he, and Arnos, have no intention
have reviving Oceanus' spirit, so they wouldn't go along with Agon.
Arnos is taking us back to the Small Cliff? That's not a port town. Well,
good thing we went there since the little kid spots a fallen woman asking
for Piazza. That settles what our choices were between going after Agon,
destroying another Crasis or finding the secret of Athens Castle; it's to
Athens we go. In the meantime, we find out that the woman is named Amitas.
So now that we're back at sea, we're charged with protecting the ship. You'll
have a battle with monsters then some banter amongst the characters, and a
chance to heal up, repeating this cycle three times. The last two battles
will be back to back fights, without banter and healing opporunities. With
that, Athens comes into view. No Kraken boss this time around.

As we pull into port, we learn that Piazza has ascended as the Athenian queen.
Then soldiers rush the ship, saying they're going to hang us pirates. Eudorus
and Patroclus get on scene and tells the guards that we're friends of Piazza,
so they let us go. There's more pressing matters for the guards, with some
suspicious people hanging around the North gate. Eudorus tells us to head off
to see Piazza at the castle and that they'll meet up with us later. So you
can disembark from the ship and are finally allowed to save since the prompt.
Start off by heading South to reach the dock, then West to reach Athens East.
Take another walk West to reach Athens West; head into the Sorcerist shop and
go down to the basement to find a statue of Prometheus. The hero picks up
Isellam; Leucos learns Sieve and Remann; Axios and Eris both learn
Thanatoskiss, Ta'quetha amd Ta'isea; Heracles learns Quaithar, Isellam and
Powtesma. The Nymph teaches Tracer 1 for the Touch Screen.
From the Sorcerist shop, backtrack to Athens: East, then go North one screen
to Athens Castle. We're going to detour to the West screen first, to pick up
some skills at the Temple of Athena. Inside, head to the altar and the hero
will pick up Expert and Sword Dancer; Leucos gets Toe Trampler; Axios learns
Magic Sword; Heracles gains Desperation and Herculean Arts; Eris gets use of
Surgical Strike and Soul Crusher. The Nymph teaches three Touch Screen power
ups: Sure Shot 1, Power Line 1 and Sweet Release 1.
Now head back to the Athens Castle screen and take the center doorway, unless
you'd like to open two sets of doors to fit through the side entrances.
Go down the Eastern corridor and take the path into the Warehouse. At the end
of the room, you'll find two chests with PICK-ME-UP and PRIEST'S ATTIRE. Go
back to the main hallway and head straight North to the Receiving Room.
Piazza comes in to greet everyone and express her boredom. It seems that
Cassandra was that suspicious person from earlier, coming to Athens Castle to
explain that it wasn't Achilles that was special to hear her prophecy, but the
area they were in that was special. This area was where Cassandra was impri-
soned, and she pushes a torch pillar to open the stairs beneath the receiving
room. Eudorus and Patroclus guard the entrance, trusting us with protecting
Piazza as we head down to where Cassandra was held.
-- Athens Castle: B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B6 --
Field items (B4): Spicewort Field items (B5): Mithridate
There's a save prompt, so might as well use it. Head South, down the stairs,
the flat space and the next set of stairs to get down to B2. Do this again
to get down to B3, and then again to B4. On B4, after descending the initial
set of stairs, the party wonders what exactly is special down here. Near the
Northeastern corner will be a chest with ELITE ARMOR inside. Take it and
continue South to the next flight of stairs to B5.
Finally, a change in scenery. As you continue going South, there will be some
switches on the East wall. These control the blocks on the other side, which
would impede our progress if we passed by these switches. Press them in
order, from North to South, and the blocks will align, giving you passage to
the next area. So head down to turn the corner, opening two chests along the
way to get ELITE DAGGER and POTENT PHYSIC. Head to the stairs to get to B6.
As you enter B6, the party realizes this is the last floor and that something
evil is lurking here. I'll guess it's the boss on the other side of the door.
Oizys strategy:
Attacks - Icebomb ~ One target, Attunes
Hydroh ~ Spell, targets all
Isell ~ Spell, targets one row
Multiple clones, all at once; made me do a double-take here. First equip
Eris with an Angel Feather so she can get a quick Intall in and have Axios in
the back row for MP restoration. Then from here, it's all about controlling
the ether values. Have the hero, Leucos and Heracles spread out their normal
attacks on everything in the front row, throwing in Fulgars when you need to
build up more dark ether; if there's only two or less enemies in the front
row, use that time to heal and rebuff with Intall. Then let Axios go to town
casting Pneuma repeatedly, targets all and usually does upwards of 1k damage
to the clones, decreases dark and increases lightning ether and clears out
the entire enemy side of clones; the overkill damage even refills Axios' MP.
If Fulg-ether happens to get too low, use Ise-ether to build up dark ether.
Repeat Pneuma until Oizys is dead. All levels before the fight were 28.
So the boss explodes, leaving the floor glowing, apparently like Taphus stone.
Cassandra and Piazza stroll in, giving the full prophecy, understood now: "It
will come to pass that, if nothing is done to stop it, the world will be
destroyed! Typhon will come back to life! All of the world's Taphoi must be
destroyed. The power of the Taphoi shall bring Typhon back to life." So it's
speculated that the humans are being tested.
Our goals have been prioritized now: Destroy the Taphoi, deal with Agon and
learn our identities. Speculation occurs within the group that all the extra
Heracles were given to stop Typhon's resurrection, but it still leaves the
question as to why Leucos and Eris are immortal. Then Leucos fesses up to
those outside the party that she's a girl. When Amitas, that lady we took at
the Small Cliff near Miletus, is brought up, Piazza runs off to see her, since
she was her nanny when growing up.
The team regroups outside and consider having to prove their righteousness.
Should they destroy the Taphoi over the Craesis? Perhaps both. Anyway, let's
go check on Piazza, who's probably at the Dagat; head over to Athens: Pier,
just beyond the Port.
As you approach the Dagat, you'll spot Arnos and discuss the new plans to go
after the Taphoi. Arnos heard of the term around Byblos, so that's out next
destination. The team boards the boat and we see Piazza and Amitas reunited.
This prompts questioning of how Captain Gazuth and Hero are doing, so Piazza
send Eudorus and Patroclus to look for those two. Just as we're about to
depart, Arnos sends the team on a fetch quest: Go to the Blacksmith, found
at Athens: East, and bring back a weapon that the owner owes Arnos. When
you return, you'll get a save prompt and we'll be off to sea.
As we head off to Byblos, we'll have to deal with monsters along the way. Fun.
You'll have a battle, then a chance to regroup. Repeat this twice more, then
you'll come face to face with a triple set of Krakens. Again, really? After
you take out the set of Krakens the party will notice black rain falling.
This seems to freak Leucos out, who runs off along with Eris and the hero to
comfort her. Just in time for one of two boss fights. This first one will
be handled by Axios, Heracles and Arnos, who temporarily joins the party.
Hydra strategy:
Attacks - Water Breath ~ One target, attunes, lowers thrust resistance
Isell ~ Spell, targets one row
Arnos came in at level 31, with the other two were at level 29. Keep Axios
in the back row and alternate between using Axios' Pneuma and Fulgar; Fulgar
does more damage while Pneuma lets you rebuild the ether needed for Fulgar.
Keep Heracles and Arnos in the front row, healing up the end of turn field
damage when someone gets to near half HP left. Otherwise let them keep
attacking, whittling down Hydra's HP. As for the An-Natra that start, they're
undead types, so overkill them to be rid of them for good.
After the Hyrda battle, we cut to Leucos in Dagat's Hold. Eris finds her and
Leucos says the whole thing reminded her of something. The ship shakes,
presumably when the Hydra from earlier landed on the deck, and the hero enters
the scene. Looking beyond the hero near the stairs is a boss. This time
you'll be using the hero, Leucos and Eris for the fight.
Esquidna strategy:
Attacks - Call for allies ~ Summons a previous boss (Sphinx, Medusa, Chimera)
Bash Scythe ~ One target, pushes to back row, lowers MP
Thanatoskiss ~ Spell, targets all
De'sprim ~ Spell, targets one row, lowers AGI
The hero, Leucos and Eris were at level 29. The hero relied on Boon while
Leucos and Eris relied on Vigor. Mindshield was helpful too. This battle
started out bad the few times I tried this: Sphinx was immeadiately summoned,
which got my stat buffs copied over and kept me from using healing spells. I
had to focus on beating the Summoned Sphinx first, which had another boss
summoned to take its place. Whatever it happens to be, other than Sphinx,
ignore the summoned boss completely. Try and keep a Sthen up and use mostly
skills such as the hero's Basic Arts (around 500 dmg), Leucos' Dire Shot
(near 300 dmg) and Eris' Soul Crusher (around 700 dmg). Heal as needed, using
Ment or other dark spells to boost ether types you need. Esquidna has access
to Vigor for a chance of healing 532 HP each turn. Each time the Sphinx was
summoned though, it was a long battle on my end.
Leucos and company return to the deck, saying she's alright. The team notes
that the black rain finally stopped and we see Oceanus off to the side of the
ship, Axios' birthmark slightly stinging. When we make land on Byblos' beach,
Arnos says he's worried about the black rain, so he's going to check on back
over at Trantia, leaving the team to walk into town.

Rambazheel | < 4200 | 43000 | Magic Ring, Treasure

This doesn't look too good for Hero. The soldiers have him surrounded and
Rambazheel just attacked him. Let's fight them all off for Hero.
Rambazheel strategy:
Attacks - Poison ~ One target, causes poison
Side Slash ~ One target, flinches, causes weapon decay
Enmirall ~ Targets all, causes reflux trap
Beseech ~ Targets self, recovers MP
There's an infinite number of Ramba's Man, so if you were hoping to draw Ram
to the front row for attacks, you're out of luck. On top of that, Ramba can
stick you all in a reflux trap, essentially blocking you out of magic use, so
let's try and end this quickly; for Hero's sake, as well. Fulgar and Pneuma
can "reset" the soldiers, keeping them from attacking at all; those not
using spells, namely the hero, Leucos and Heracles, should be using skills to
hit Rambazheel in the back row. As long as you focus the majority of your
attacks on Rambazheel, it should be over in a few turns, enough to overcome
the Vigor effect of 466 HP, which thankfully doesn't activate too often.
With the guards taken out, you'll find that Hero ran away because he felt he
couldn't trust anyone anymore and partly because Hero was jealous that Eris
picked us over him. We learn that three more Taphoi exist: One nearby, one
in Egypt and one last one in the mountains. It becomes clear that Hero is
going to pass and, with his dying breath, says "never to trust royalty, or
Gazuth, for that matter."

As we start off from Byblos, Axios mentions that the neaby Taphus is somewhere
in the mountains to the South, passed on through Arnos before leaving. So
let's follow the path South, then West for a time and then up a ramp as we
move South again. Turn East and as we approach the Taphus, continue moving
South until the Taphus comes into view.
The party shortly discuss why they can't trust Piazza and the Athenian royalty
before heading straight into the Taphus.
Enter the small room and you'll get a feeling of deja vu. It looks like a
dead end but Eris pushes a torch and stairs appear on the ground. Follow them
down, along with the ones in the next room, and we'll be in B1.
Go West then curve North, pressing the switch at the end of the hallway; a
block will move, granting you access to the rest of the Taphus and blocking
your escape; don't worry, you can press the switch again if you want to leave.
Anyway, from there, go East until you reach the Southeastern corner, pressing
the switch to open a path for RUSTY SWORD inside a chest. As you get to the
center of the square, you'll learn that Eris seems knowledgable about these
Taphoi, saying it's a tomb and needing to find and destroy the core. Go up
to the Northeastern corner, press the switch and grab a POTENT PHYSIC inside
the chest. Head over to the Northwestern corner and take the stairs to B2.
Hit the nearby switch coming out of the stairs; don't worry about it blocking
off access to the Northwestern corner, there's nothing there but a Spicewort.
Head to the Southeastern corner, grab the chest first for a RUSTY DAGGER,
and then you can press the switch. Beeline to the Southwestern corner, taking
the HERO'S BOW in the chest before taking the stairs to B3.
Open the chest as you head toward the inner square to gain a RUSTY SCYTHE.
Once in the inner square, press the Southern switch first, then hit the switch
on the Eastern wall. This opens up the path to the Southwest corner, where
you can find a chest with PICK-ME-UP inside. Continue North to the corner and
find two chests, one with RUSTY SPEAR and the other with RUSTY AXE. Continue
toward the stairs, grabbing the ILLUMORE ROOT in the chest before going to B4.
Head South then Northwest to get to the inner square. Stay near the East wall
to hit a switch, opening up the Northeastern corner. Hit the switch there and
grab the RUSTY SHIELD chest a few steps away. Head back into the inner square
and press the switch on the West wall, moving the bar into the wall. Go in
through the hole that it left, heading South to grab the IRON MASK chest, then
turn North and take the stairs down to B5.
From the stairs, continue moving clockwise around the square; there's nothing
behind the stairs, so keep going forward. Move into the inner square and head
up toward the North face to find a switch. Save before you do, since using
the switch opens up the core and the boss fight.
Taphus III Core / Lethe strategy:
Attacks - [Taphus III Core] Change form ~ Turns into Lethe
[Lethe] Dark Wrath ~ ... I have no idea.
To me, this was the easiest boss in the game thus far, namely because neither
form bothered to make any kind of attack. When the turn starts with the Core,
let the hero use Basic Arts, Leucos use Sthen or attack if Sthen is in effect,
Axios use Magic Sword for a good chance of attune and damage, Heracles set to
using Berserk and Eris Chants. During that phase, the Core will change forms
into Lethe and will use Dark Wrath on one party member at the end of the form
change turn. During Lethe's turn, let the hero use Quaithe, Leucos do
whatever, Axios use anything but MP consuming magic/skills and Eris Terron;
Heracles should always stay in Berserk if he comes out of it here. At the end
of the turn, Lethe shouldn't have an action and will revert back to the Core.
Repeat until dead. My levels before the fight were 31 across the board.
-- Desert / Benghazi Outskirts --
After being launched way up into the sky, you'll come crashing down with a
thud. A nearby man runs off after witnessing your fall, exclaiming "P-people
are falling from the sky!" Looks like the party got split apart too.
From the corner of the mountains you're starting at, begin heading West to
get to a nearby town.

Head toward the center of town to find General Heracles. Eris explains we're
the ones who destroyed the Taphus and also the ones who fell from the sky.
Seems like the general changed his mind about going to Trantia, realizing that
the king is a fool. He instead went to Athens where he learned what we were
up to through Piazza. His goal is Agon and doesn't want to get caught up in
our quest to destroy the Taphoi. You can stock up here, but there's better
things in the next town, unless you want Eris to be a physical attacker. Stop
in at the Sorcerist's basement for a statue of Prometheus: The hero learns
Quaithar and the nearby Nymph teaches nothing. Take the East exit out of town.
Follow the road West, and then turn North into town.

As you approach the main square, Eudorus approaches, giving the hero a gift
from Gazuth: An old flute, which we're told to play for Daedalus. It seems
that Gazuth is running away from us, relaying this message through his wife
and Eudorus. Eudorus then gives us passes to access the Pyramids to the South,
apparently where Leucos and company went. So let's follow them.
-- Egypt Outskirts / Desert --
Follow the road Southwest where you'll stop at a scene with General Heracles.
He's examining a Daedalus device that Agon was looking at. You're reminded
of the flute and attempt to play it... poorly. The general takes the flute
and plays a tune, "teaching" the hero how to play. The hero tries again and
does only mildly better than before. Seems like we'll have to play the flute
to Daedalus. When you're back in control, continue in your Southwestern
direction and, as you pass a cliff, go straight South to enter the Pyramids.
-- Pyramids --
You'll automatically show the pass to the guards. Start going toward the
middle of the map to the South and you'll be reunited with the party! Axios
thought the Pyramids was a Taphus in disguise but you'll learn that the
real Taphus is off to the South. But before we do that, let's get some
backtracking done.
-- Egypt Outskirts / Cave / Praire / Benghazi --
Field items (Cave): Spicewort x2, Mithridate
Leave the Pyramids, going Northwest. Your goal is at the Northwestern end of
the land available. You'll enter a cave area to find four chests containing
PERSIAN BOW, GAIA'S CESTUS and PHYSIC; the Western most one is empty. Make
your way back to Egypt to the East, then back to Benghazi way off to the East
Southeast to get to the Prometheus statue under the Sorcerist's shop. For
your troubles, Leucos, and only Leucos, learns Sievann. As we make our way
back to the Pyramids, go Southwest from Benghazi to a corner, just East of
a few pillars. There, you'll enter a praire area with four chests to grab
MURAMASA OMEGA, HOT ROD and ILLUMORE ROOT; the Eastern chest is empty. Now
we can head North to Egypt then Southwest to the Pyramids.
From the Pyramids screen, head South to get to the overworld map.
From the Pyramids, do due South, ignoring the marked road until you spot a
hill on the East. Go up the hill and continue going East to reach the Taphus.
Once at the Egypt Taphus, go straight inside to the Egypt Taphus: Small Room.
It'll look like a dead end if you go straight to the back wall, but before
getting there, examine the second torch on the left. A stairway will open up,
so take that down and go down the next set of stairs to start the dungeon.

Head toward the inner square, taking the Northern path when given the choice.
Hit the switch at the end then backtrack, prompting an event with Agon.
Captain Gazuth even appears... saying this whold Taphus business started with
the Titanomachy. Zeus needed insurance after winning the war, sealing the
Titans away. Though Prometheus escaped, seeing as he wasn't part of the war,
but was informed that the Titans were losing via Athen's king, Piazza's
father. Prometheus devised a plan, asking the king for tombs to be created
for the fallen Titans to be made of Taphus stone, which Prometheus knew could
block the reach of Zeus and friends. The Taphoi also had a hidden goal, to
resurrect Typhon by gathering dark ether and transforming it into useable
energy. Daedalus learned of this plot and informed the king of Athens, which
the king decided that work on the Taphoi must stop. On the way back to Athens,
Zeus kills the king; Agon then asks us to join him in restoring Typhon, which
we refuse. He heads up and we regain control. You have time, so go up to
the Northeastern corner to grab POTENT PHYSIC in the chest, then swing down to
the Southeastern corner to get two chests: GUARDIAN DAGGER and GIANT'S SWORD.
Backtrack to the inner square and take the Northwestern corner stairs to B2.
Head clockwise to reach the inner square. Press the switch in the Northeast
corner, then the switch in the Southwest corner and go back to press the one
in the Northeast corner again. You now have access to the Northwest outer
square, where you'll get a POWTESMA ROOT in the chest. Keep going South to
the stairs, picking up GODDESS RAIMENT along the way to B3.
These switches throw in a new wrinkle. Make your way to the inner square,
hitting the switch along the way. This switch is timed, but you should have
more than enough time to grab the GIANT BOW and PICK-ME-UP in the chests
along the way. Once in the inner square, go grab the two chests in the
Northwestern outer square to get ILLUMORE ROOT and UNYIELDING SPEAR. Head
back to the inner square, press the switch in the Southwestern corner and
again hustle to get to the stairs; this switch doesn't give enough time to
grab the chests at the same time, hence picking them up early. Once past the
barrier, continue down to the stairs to get to B4.
Press the switch on the Southeastern area, then press the switch in the
Northeastern part to lock down the barrier. Save before going to the inner
square because we have a boss fight coming up. But first, story sequences.
It seems Gazuth wants out of this arrangement with Agon, but Agon refuses.
There's still the Di-Taphus to deal with. Wait, what, another Taphus? It
seems Agon has Flora captive, and that's how Agon is manipulating Gazuth to do
what he wants. But Gazuth has enough and charges at Agon, only to be struck
down. Agon then spots the party and grows in size, challenging us.
Everyone was at level 33 coming into this fight; Leucos, Axios and Heracles
didn't gain a level since rejoining at the Pyramids and all that backtracking.
The key to this fight is Axios' Magic Sword skill. Make sure Leucos acts
before Axios to cast Sthen before his attack. Heracles can stick to Berserk
and let Eris Girdall to take Beta Agon's physical attacks better with the hero
using Basic Arts. Once Beta Agon is attuned due to Magic Sword, cast De'gird
and let Eris Sthen Heracles and the hero up. Continue the physical beat down,
with Magic Sword dealing upwards of 3000 dmg when hitting through Shield, and
this battle should be over in a few turns.
We win, yay. Agon shrinks then questions when immortal fights are truly over,
and in fashion, he runs away. We tend to Gazuth, where we learn that Flora is
being held captive in the Taphus in the mountains: Our next destination. We
also learn that Daedalus is still alive, and that the hero is somehow similar,
asking if we got the flute. Say yes, because frankly, we do have it. With
Gazuth's final breath, he asks for forgiveness. You can now head to the
Northwest corner if you were tempted by those chests as we came into the Agon
battle. Inside is a GRIM SHIELD and REL'ALL ROOT. Continue South, toward the
outer square and follow the path to the stairs, grabbing GRAND HELM and a
MAGNUM CESTUS along the way to the stairs to B5.
By the layout, you should know this is the last floor by now. Again, there's
nothing behind the stairs, so move clockwise to reach the inner square and
again, the switch to open up the core is on the North face. When you hit it,
the team makes a plan to rendezvous when they get blown up again: This time,
it's the Caucasus Mountains, specifically a shack-- err, mansion at the base
of the largest mountain. Seems like Heracles' memory is starting to come back
to him. That mansion is his home, and the boss starts to make its move.
Taphus IV Core / Geras strategy:
Attacks - [Taphus IV Core] Ability: Shield
[Taphus IV Core] Change form ~ Turns into Geras
[Geras] Ability: Critical
[Geras] Byrnge ~ Spell, targets one row
My team was between level 33 and 34 for this fight. This isn't quite as easy
as the previous core fight since Geras got two Byrnges off, but still. Let
Eris hold Hermes's Wings because she'll need to outspeed Geras; those clones
specifically. Now it's essentially the same fight as before. If it's the
core, let the hero use Basic Arts, Leucos Sthen Axios or do whatever if Sthen
is in effect, Axios Magic Sword, Heracles Berserk and Eris Chant. When it's
Geras that starts the turn, let the hero use Isell on either row, Leucos do
whatever, Axios waits to restore a little MP, Heracles continue Berserking and
Eris cast Hydroh; Chant + Hydroh will take out all the clones and do near
2500 dmg, with the hero's Isell doing the cleanup. This reverts back to the
core state where you repeat until dead.
Then the core explodes, going into Eris again. The Taphus begins to shake
and the party reminds each other to meet at the Caucasus. Then boom.
-- Wilderness / Atlasia Outskirts --
The hero will drop like a rock then quickly get up. A boy approaches, asking
the hero if he noticed if something fell around here. He then offers the hero
a Hero's Certificate and asks if you want to listen to his sales pitch.
Might as well say yes and amuse the kid. He'll go on about how Iphicles,
Heracles' younger brother, made a Hero's Certificate to give Heracles his
confidence back. This kid has copies of said Hero's Certificate, branding
them as "Man Power Hero's Certificates," offering ther hero one for 1000...
err, 100-- 10? No, for free, just for listening.
You'll then be sent to the overworld and head into the town North of you.

Then the kid pushes the dejected man down, upon which he stands up and looks
at a piece of paper before going inside a house. If you try and comfort him,
you'll find the house locked and no one answering, so let's explore the town.
Specifically, go up to the Port in the North screen, where you'll be reunited

Now we can approach the house to the South. You'll hear the dejected man
shouting at nymphs. Heracles tries to open the door but finds it's locked, so
he basically breaks down the door, forcing your way in. Once inside, you'll
see three nymphs hovering near the man; they get distracted upon seeing us,
questioning why there are three of "them" now. Then Heracles calls the
dejected man his... big brother? The dejected man perks up at this, calling
our Heracles Iphicles. They shake hands and hug and we're treated to a flash-
back. The real Heracles was fighting a monster, with our Heracles turned
Iphicles giving the real Heracles a Hero's Certificate, granting him his con-
fidence. The real Heracles then goes out with purpose, trying to stop this
monster, but the monster gets in a spell to destroy the house, with Iphicles
inside. With new purpose, Heracles beats up the monster with... was that a
shoryuken? We come out of the flashback and the dejected man transforms into
Heracles, the real Heracles. Our Heracles turned Iphicles then says his
goodbye as he slowly turns to ether after remembering that he's dead. We exit
the house and hear Heracles raging. There's nothing left to do now, so let's
head to the Port to check on that ship Leucos called in.
As you approach, a save prompt will appear, saying you're about to enter the
Caucasus. Leucos asks a soldier about the ship, but says it's not here yet.
Heracles then comes strolling in, saying he's going to finish the mission set
out by Iphicles. Apparently we won't need a ship, so we follow him back to
his house. While he's inside, Leucos confesses that she doesn't want the hero
to learn who he is, not wanting the hero to turn into ether like Her--Iphicles
did. Heracles then comes out, showing the Silken Reins. We get to fly in
style to the Caucasus area. Sure beats boat travel.

As we come into town, Heracles reminds us of his house on the mountainside.
It also turns out that Axios was correct: The house is a shack, not a mansion.
Head down to the Sorcerist's basement so the hero, Leucos and Heracles pick
up the Arginoa spell, with the Nymph teaching Copycat 1 for the Touch Screen.
Go North one screen and Heracles begins to recall memories of Neapolis. Then,
Leucos is drawn to a structure, with Heracles saying it used to be a theater
run by Deucos... Leucos' dad. She says that Deucos wouldn't settle anywhere
and that he passed away when black rain fell. Flashback to little Leucos,
walking along with her dad when the rain falls. Monsters block off the paths,
trapping Leucos and her dad on top of a cliff. Deucos gives Leucos a sword,
saying he always wanted a son and telling Leucos that she's immortal. As the
monsters approach, Leucos is shoved off the cliff and hears her father call
out her name. She returns to the top of the cliff and asks her dad to stop
playing dead. Coming out of the flashback, Heracles gives her a hug.

When you regain control, you'll be at the entrance to Caucasus Path. Veer
East to grab two chests: ORION'S BOW and PICK-ME-UP. Head back and go around
the twisty path to enter the next screen.
As you move forward, Leucos will hear a voice. The voice reveals itself to be
Axios and Eris... and Piazza? Eris instantly recognizes the real Heracles
while Axios wants to press for answers. Leucos dodges it all by not wanting
the hero to "rest" like Iphicles did. The black rain starts falling, with
Piazza urging everyone to help her look for an ancient dagger. Oh, and no
need to return to the Temple of Artemis nor the Prometheus statue back at
Neapolis; Axios and Eris don't learn a thing there. Continue up the path to
the little nook and grab the RUSTY SPEAR in the chest. Backup a little, then
turn to the Northeast. At the end of the path, you'll find three chests with
EARTHRIFT AXE, HEATHEN'S SCYTHE and ANCIENT ARMOR inside. Bank up toward the
next screen, heading Northwest.
Follow this path to the Northeast, taking the curve North. Two chests wait to
grant GOLDEN CESTUS and SAVIOR'S ARMOR for the taking. Head back South and
head toward that big clearing to the West. You'll activate a story event
where we find that dagger that Piazza's looking for. It seems to be the spot
that the king of Athens was struck down by Zeus. Through Amitas and Piazza,
the king was going through these woods with a sacrifice to be offered to
Prometheus: A young girl by the name of Leucothea. The deal between the king
and Prometheus didn't go as planned so he gave Amitas a final order, knowing
that he wouldn't be able to outrun Zeus. Amitas was charged with taking
Leucothea to a former captain of the Athens guard first, then returning to
Athens castle to hide Piazza within the Taphus so she wouldn't be found.
Seems like Piazza never knew. As a gift for building the Taphoi, Prometheus
granted the king with the gift of immortality; odd that he died...? Anyway,
the gift passes on to the Athenian heir yet Piazza's mortal. And right on
cue, Piazza reveals that her mother was Amitas. But what about opening
Heaven's Gate? Oh yeah, Leucos was with us. So then, Leucos and Piazza are
sisters. Piazza starts to yank on the dagger then calls Leucos to try, which
she easily pulls out and, a la "Excalibur," proves Leucos is Athen's true
queen. General Nestor appears to take Piazza back, apparently the two of them
now an item. In the end you'll gain ANCIENT DAGGER. When you regain control,
head to the East of where the dagger was imbedded to grab a chest with
RUSTY DAGGER inside. Now continue West to move on to the next screen.
As you move forward, you'll automatically approach the remains of a house.
Heracles stayed in the rubble for years, holding Iphicles in his arms, slowly
sapping away at Heracles' power until he became the dejected man we met in
Atlasia. The next thing Heracles remembered was Daedalus calling for him,
giving Heracles a chance at reviving Iphicles. Heracles knew it would anger
the gods but he wanted his little brother back, so he agreed to take part of
his spirit and give it to Iphicles. Then a flashback that starts the same way
which the dream that Iphicles told us about at the Spartan jail. The same
one the hero had at the start of the game, for Heracles to get on a platform.
Heracles climbs on the Crasis and Daedalus starts it up, but soon realizes
that a hero's spirit is much too powerful to power a Crasis, causing the whole
thing to explode; which causes an interesting theory to occur. Everyone in
that room had part of Heracles' spirit imbued into them: Iphicles thought
he was Heracles, a second Heracles is running around as General Heracles, now
believed to be Daedalus. But Heracles knows no one else was present in that
room... other than a few marionettes. So... is the hero a marionette with
the memories of Heracles? Either way, Eris reminds everyone of the current
goal: To destroy the nearby Taphus. Daedalus can wait. So start taking the
path to the Northeast exit and we'll be on our way.
Follow the road North to the Caucasus Taphus. Then head straight inside the
Taphus, like usual. When you come to the Small Room, you'll show Heracles
how to open the stairway which, once lowered, Flora will come running out of
there. Heracles takes Flora outside to be sent home via Pegasus, but not
before Flora hands Leucos a letter. She fibs about not being able to read
since Gazuth had grim expectations of Flora's survival, but passes along a
message to the team: Destroy the Di-Taphus and Di-Crasis in Trantia. Let's
deal with this Taphus first, so go down the stairs in this and the next room.
Presumably, the bed in the corner was where Flora slept. Go to the Southeast
corner to grab two chests, one with 800 D and the other with ILLUMORE ROOT.
Hit the switch and avoid stepping on the panel in the inner square, otherwise
the path will close again. In the Northeast corner are chests with PHYSIC and
DIAMOND SPEAR waiting for the taking. Get to the Northwest corner for B2.
Step on the panel going to the inner square then, once on the Western side,
step on the panel again to open the way forward. Grab the chest in the
Northwest for TOTAL PHYSIC then head down to the Southwestern corner to gain a
JEWEL STAFF and 800 D, pressing the two switches on your way down. Enter the
lower portion of the inner square, stepping on the center panel to make your
way forward; stepping on either of the other panels forces you to reset the
panel's location with the South switch on the West wall. Continue going East
and take the stairs there to reach B3.
As you approach, you'll see two switches. Press the West switch to lower the
first bar, then go into the inner square to grab chests with REL'ALL ROOT,
POWTESMA ROOT and STURDY BRANCH. Go back to the dual switches, this time
hitting the East switch to lower the longer bar. Stay on the Taphus stone road
to reach the other side; stepping off will require you to go back and press
the East switch again at the dual switches. Go to the Southeast corner for a
TOTAL PHYSIC then make your way to the Northwest corner, grabbing a chest with
TITAN AXE inside before heading down the stairs to B4.
Trip the switch in the Southeast to lower the set of panels. Step on the
_________________________ panels in the following order to grab the two
|___|___|_3_|___|_5_|___| chests for PICK-ME-UP and 1000 D. If you make
|_4_|___|_1_|_2_|___|___| a mistake, reset the panels with the switch.
|___|___|___|___|___|___| Then take the stairs in the Northwest to B5.
Familar room layout, no? Nothing behind the stairs, as usual. Move around
the square in a clockwise fashion to get to the center and we find that there
is a giant hole. It's speculated that Agon took it when Flora was locked up.
We regroup outside and Heracles suggests calling Pegasus to take them to
Trantia. Eris though, needs to take a detour, with Heracles revealing that
Eris is Prometheus' wife. The team rejoins Eris, so let's take the new path.
Follow the path to the Northeast and, at the fork, take the Southern path.
The Northern path around holds the two field items above if you need them, but
the South path is the more direct route. Once through, continue following
along to reach the next screen.
Eris reveals that two keys are needed to open the gate: the Keepsake Sword and
the Ancient Dagger. They were gifts given to the king of Athens to commemorate
the secret pact made between the king and Prometheus. It seems like the king
entrusted a close friend, Deucos, with the Keepsake Sword. At Eris' prompt,
the hero and Leucos hold their respective blades up which opens the gate. In
addition, the Keepsake Sword and Ancient Dagger transform into the TITAN SWORD
and TITAN DAGGER, unlocking their potential. So, let's go in.

Go North to the bend, East to the intersection, then North to a gate, switch
and chest with TOTAL PHYSIC inside. Use the switch to turn the gate at the
intersection, heading South and East into the just opened up area. At the end
of the hall will be two chests with ILLUMORE ROOT and ATHENA'S SHIELD, along
with a switch to further turn the gate at the intersection. Go back to the
intersection and take the South path, hitting the switch to open the gate way
up at the North end and ignoring the empty chest nearby. Go back down the
East hall to turn the intersection gate and continue North to reach the gate
you opened, hitting the first switch to allow you free access to exit the
area if you need to retreat. Continue East, finding two chests at the North-
east corner for STURDY BRANCH and APOLLO'S BOW. Follow the path South, then
turn East to get to the next screen.
Head East and trip the switch to open some of the gates below, taking 32700 D
in the chest. There's three switches on your way South. Numbering them in
order from 1 through 3 as you pass South, hit 3, then 2, then 1. Backtrack
to the original switch and press that switch twice. Now go back to the trio
of switches and press number 2, which will lower every gate. Continue to the
East and grab TITAN CESTUS and RUSTY SCYTHE in the chests at the corner. Go
South to the next corner and grab the ORACLE STAFF, then continue to the exit.
There's a field item to the right of the exit, but otherwise continue West.
-- Caucasus Mountains: Peak / Rock of Prometheus --
Climb the stairs North and approach the center when at the very top. You'll
find Prometheus tied to a rock; no eagle around. The party approaches and
starts up a conversation with Prometheus imploring Axios (and Oceanus) that he
understands their situation. The team disagrees, echoing what the Athenian
King was saying earlier. Eris begins to talk about her mission to gather the
power of the Taphoi and that the first Taphus she went to in Corinth was too
powerful, wiping out her memory. But it was the Taphoi where Eris accompanied
the party which restored her memory... and Eris transforms. Prometheus says
to let Agon finish the mission, that it's already underway, evidenced by the
black rain; representative of Typhon's anger. Eris chooses to stay with us
since she's grown a liking to humans. As the team walks off, Prometheus asks
Heracles if he can walk amongst the humans again.
From here, you have two choices for a different set of treasure chests, so
choose here since you'll be committed by the time we jump at Caucasus Path.
Or you can take both sets of treasure by grabbing the two chests in the next
section then returning here. Jumping is more for offense while not jumping
is more for defensive items. It's up to you, but here's what's found:
If you decide not to jump, exit via the South path and go South one more time
at Caucasus Mountains: Peak. Either way, we'll be in Caucasus Path next.
If you decide to jump, go to the Northwest corner of the Rock of Prometheus.
An icon will appear to jump down, so do so. Along the path to the South,
you'll find a chest with GIVER's STAFF.
-- Caucasus Path / Massalia Outskirts --
Field items (Jumped at Rock of Prometheus): Herb
Field items (Didn't jump at Rock of Prometheus): Mithridate, Spicewort, Herb
If you didn't jump, then you'll follow the winding path to the South, grabbing
two chests with RUSTY SHIELD and HERMES'S HELM near the edge of a cliff. Jump
off this cliff (or backtrack to the Rock of Promethus to grab the second set
of treasure chests) and skip the following paragraph.
If you jumped at the Rock of Prometheus, you'll now be "off the map," making
your way South. Along the way will be two chests with BOW OF SERAPHIS and
ARE'S CESTUS. Make your way to the cliff and jump off.
The two paths from the Rock of Prometheus choice will reunite here. Take the
chest in the clearing for CELESTIAL DIADEM, then wind your way South to
the overworld.
Once out, go in a Southeasterly direction to get into town.

that it's caused by the Di-Taphus, sucking the ehter from the world. Well,
we're going to destroy it. Stock up if you want, but the next town will be
upon us soon. Stop by the Sorcerist's basement as well. The hero and Leucos
both gain an increase to their INT, Heracles gets an increase to his MP and

Travel East to the Temple where the hero picks up Berserk and Punching Party,

When you enter town, the party reminds the player that this will be the last
town you'll see before entering Trantia. Make good with the suggestion and
stock your supplies with what you've been using. In fact, I'd suggest buying
quite a few Sibyl's Balm since a couple areas just need it for sanity.
Head directly South out of town, skirting along the cliff. You'll pass what
looks to be a forest on the East on the way down to the corner, where you'll
enter a Praire. Inside are four chests holding TACHYON CESTUS, CRONUS'S AXE,
TRANTIAN BOW and POTENT PHYSIC. Head back North, almost back to town, then
go West, up the ramp. Follow the road South and the area will change into the
Trantian Outskirts.
Go West up another hill and you'll soon approach a temple for more skills.
Inside, Leucos, Axios and Eris all learn Coup de Grace with no Touch Screen
power ups from the Nymph. Hear on out and let's go toward Trantia.
-- Trantia Outskirts / Trantia: North / East / West -- [16faq]
From the temple, just head South to reach Trantia.
As you come into town, the team notices an odd smell and that it's hard to
breathe, much like what was being said by the NPCs at the temple and the NPCs
around town. The town is dying but the party doesn't have an idea of where
the Di-Taphus could be, so they decide to ask around town for info.
Go South to reach Trantia: East, then take the Southern most exit to the West
to reach Trantia: West. Attempt to leave town via the South exit and you'll
come across a person who directs you to the Di-Taphus to the South of Trantia.
The party decides to tell him that his family is back in Lenz before we go.

I really hope you brought along Sibyl's Balms for this area. If not, Lenz
isn't too far away from here. That said, I'm going to be breaking up the
next few floors into quadrants; the map makes it ideal to describe it as so.
You start out in the Southeast quadrant. Go inside the inner square and hit
all three switches. Go around, grabbing a chest with ILLUMORE ROOT before
using the center square to get to the Southwest quadrant. Take a detour
inside to grab HADES' AXE and SEED OF AGILITY in the chests, then go to the
Northwest quadrant. Go inside that middle square, grabbing a chest with a
SEED OF LIFE inside and press both switches. Now use the center square path
to go down to the Southeast quadrant, head inside the inner square to take
the path to the Northeast quadrant via the center square path. Open the chest
for ILLUMORE ROOT in the inner square, then circle to the outer portions to
grab a SEED OF MAGIC and PALLAS ATHENA in the corner. Take the stairs to B2.
You start in the Northeast quadrant here. Head inside the inner square for
three chests: POWTESMA ROOT, CERAUNUS and ARTEMIS'S BOW. Use the center
square to reach the Western part of the Northeast quadrant, hitting the switch
there. Go back to the center square and move down to the Southeast quadrant,
circling all the way around to the North hall to hit a switch and pick up a
PICK-ME-UP. Go to the inner square, fight through the guards blocking the
switch [Immortos x4 + Agon's Guard x3 + Plutonium], activate the switch, then
use the center square to move over to the Southwest quadrant. Go around to
the North hall again, grab two chests with CELESTIAL DAGGER and REL'ALL ROOT
inside, then move into the inner square for another guard blocking a switch.
Beat them up, hit the switch and grab the chest for another REL'ALL ROOT. Now
make your way up to the Northwest quadrant via the center square. Detour to
the inner square for a SEED OF POWER and TOTAL PHYSIC before taking the
stairs down to B3.
This floor looks different. Your goal is that central area, so take the path
through the center square to the Northwest quadrant and head South to the
opening. There are some gates blocking our progress, so we're going to have
to use the switches in this area to open them up. Be warned, however, that
each switch will activate a battle; only once per switch, though. The fights
are as follows:
To open the gates, you'll need to activate switches 1, 3 and 4, hit in any
order. Do note that your main target in those fights will be the Crystallo
in the back row; you can ignore the prior boss clones. Once the Crystallo is
destroyed, the boss clones will automatically run away, leaving you free to
have the switch activated. Once the gates are opened, head down to the
Southwest corner to grab three chests: SEED OF WISDOM, POTENT PHYSIC and
NIKE'S TIARA. Continue going around to the stairs for B4.
Ah, the familiar final Taphus floor layout. Head South, tripping the switch,
then make your way to the inner square. A tantalizing switch is there for
you to hit, which will trigger the boss fight.
Di-Taphus Core I / Thanatos / Di Taphus Core II / Nemesis strategy:
Attacks - [Di-Taphus Core I] Ability: Shield, Undead-type
[Di-Taphus Core I] Change form ~ Turns into Thanatos
[Di-Taphus Core II] Ability: Mindshield, Undead-type
[Di-Taphus Core II] Change form ~ Turns into Nemesis
[Thanatos] Ability: Bulldoze, Critical, Dualstrike
[Nemesis] Ability: Counter
[Nemesis] Dark Wrath ~ Targets at the end of turn, then
does about 2200 dmg to target the next turn
I had everyone at level 44 going into this fight, mainly because I didn't use
Sibyl's Balms at all until reaching B3. During the fight with the cores,
let Axios do damage with a Sthen'd up Magic Sword and let Heracles use the
Supplicate skill, focusing everything on one core. Eris will Chant, leaving
the hero to do as you wish for the first turn; I like Basic Arts here. At
the end of the turn, both cores will undergo a form change; focus on the form
corresponding to the core you've been attacking. Eris should drop a Helion
on both form changes with Leucos having enough ether to cast her own Arginoa.
At the end of the turn, both forms should revert back to their core forms,
where we're going to continue pressing our attack. Once a single core is KO'd
the other core will not attack nor form change at all. Use two characters to
continue KOing the fallen core, with everyone else focusing on the other core.
In my case, I was using the hero's Basic Arts and Leucos regularly attacking
the fallen core to keep it KO'd, with Axios continuing Magic Sword and with
Heracles using Supplicant to take out the remaining core. Eris can either use
an area spell or a single spell focused on the core that's been KO'd to keep
the other core from transforming and attacking. The main key here is to
knock out a single core and keep it KO'd; going for an overkill isn't worth
it since keeping the KO'd core KO'd only needs around 2300 dmg. Once that's
established, the core won't be doing any sort of attacking and you're free
to kill off the cores at your leisure.
The Di-Taphus Cores explode and Eris tries absorbing the power, but it ends up
being much too strong for her to handle. The power starts to feed into Typhon
and Eris falls over, reverting back to her younger form. Axios suspects it's
like what happened to Eris at Corinth, before we met Eris, when the Taphus
power was too much for her to handle. She awakens and it seems as though she
lost her memory too. Great, and the Taphus starts rumbling, signaling the
explosion. The team plans to hold together because they can't afford to
regroup somewhere else after all this. But the hero lags behind, trying to
reach the circle when the whole place explodes, sending everyone to the sky.
-- Di-Crasis / Isle of Sleeping Evil --
Luckily, everyone lands here, though it looks as though it was a really rough
landing. The ether is all being siphoned here, drawing the party from the
sky to this location. But what is this? It seems to be the device that's
used to resurrect Typhon. Due to the ether being around here, Eris recovers
her memories as well as her true form. The team speculates that if they can
destory this machine then they can stop Typhon from coming around. Heracles
is about to destroy it when Eris warns not to step on the device itself, since
it's capable of sucking his soul.
We then cut to the harbor where we see Arnos and the Dagat. And he's with
Agon. Agon seems pleaseed that Arnos brought a Crasis along to try and merge
into Oceanus. Just then, a boat rams into the Dagat. And hey look, it's
General Heracles to the, umm, rescue? Let's go see what's up. Head South
from the Di-Crasis screen to reach the Isle of Sleeping Evil screen. Go
South one more time and we'll run aboard the Dagat.
We're just in time to witness General Heracles tackle Arnos. Axios steps in to
try and appeal to Oceanus, within Agon, about how much trouble they went to in
stopping Typhon before. General Heracles then tackles Agon, which Arnos and
Axios use to pin Agon by swordpoint. Cut away to see that Oceanus swims by
the boat, obviously wondering what's going on. Agon lists his reasons for
doing all of this as the humiliation he felt as Oceanus and what he endured,
as well as his jealousy, hatred and fear. Agon then grows in size, striking
down General Heracles, Arnos and Axios. He then runs off to set the Di-Crasis
in motion. Run after him, North all the way to the Di-Crasis screen.
As you approach the doorway, you'll withness Agon activating the Di-Crasis.
The team, minus Axios, approaches; Agon's glad to have sacrifices for the
Di-Crasis, intending to use us. Yay, boss fight.
BOSS data Name | HP | EXP | Drops

Omega Agon | < 29500 | 238784 | Oceanus's Armor,

Omega Agon strategy:
Attacks - Ability: Shield, Mindshield, Counter
Menace ~ One target, sends to back row, lose MP
Megalo ~ Spell, targets all
Slash n Smash ~ One target, drains
Wave Cutter ~ One target, attunes, ~150 dmg
I ended up at Lvl 44 for everyone at this fight. Take out the two flankers,
keeping in mind that they are Undead, so go for an overkill to keep them from
joining much more of the fight. Then focus on Omega Agon. The one thing I
miss is Axios' Magic Sword in this fight, but Heracles' Supplicate works
wonders here. It does the same thing, large damage (~4000 when not reduced),
still causes attune and even hits Omega Agon's weakness. It doesn't matter
where Heracles ends up, but keep up the Supplicate attack each turn. Have
the hero and Leucos attack and throw in Arginoa when you have the ether, which
you can build up with Eris and her dark ether spells. Heal as necessary,
paying more attention to Heracles since he'll be doing a lot of the damage,
and this battle should be over in a few turns.
Realizing that he's been bested, Agon sacrifices himself, and part of Oceanus'
spirit, giving it all to Typhon for his resurrection. Axios, Arnos and
General Heracles rush in as we all watch Agon turn into ether. Arnos and
Axios decide that they have to try and restore Oceanus, despite being a third
spirt short, using the Crasis Arnos brought... from Mycenae. The broken one.
Heracles then hugs General Heracles, restoring the general back into Daedalus.
Daedalus explains his intentions with Heracles, wanting to revive his own son
and not caring of Iphicles; he just wanted to use the power of a hero's spirit
to power the Crasis. He emphatically says that the hero isn't the son he was
trying to revive, saying his son was up in the air, loving flight. Umm, no
pressure, but Typhon's coming back Daedalus, so he runs over to fix the broken
Crasis on the Dagat. Follow him down South to the ship.
-- Isle of Sleeping Evil / Di-Crasis --
The party regroups on the Dagat and witness a giant orb floating out of the
remnants of the Di-Crasis. It's revealed to be Typhon's egg, and it's about
to hatch. Daedalus goes about trying to fix the Crasis, saying not to rush
him, but hey, the end of the world is right around the corner. In fact, the
egg explodes into smoke, spreading across the land and killing off the trees.
Daedalus then says he has it fixed, just in time as Typhon hatches.
Arnos and Axios stand on the Crasis platform, the Crasis activating and a
small explosion occurs, sending an arcing light to Oceanus. A cutscene within
the cutscene occurs, showing the duel between Typhon and Oceanus. In the end,
Oceanus emerges victorious... temporarily, at least. Typhon is revealed to
still be alive, just badly damaged. But Oceanus too is hurt and starts to
become ether, something that Typhon can absorb. Eris suggests sending the
Crasis into reverse, which Daedalus tries; the arc of light flies back and
goes into Axios, uniting Arnos' and Axios' spirit into Axios' body, changing
his form. The ensuing spirit transfers destroyed the Crasis, however. Axios
explains that Typon's core was pierced by Oceanus, cutting Typhon off from any
regenerative powers, thus making Typhon a mortal Titan, in essence. We'll
have to venture to the Underworld to stop Typhon once and for all.
So the party regroups back at the Di-Crasis, wondering how to get in. Well,
there's always a switch. That switch is found on the Northern most torch on
the left side, near the Di-Crasis switch. A set of stairs open to the left,
our cue to start heading down to the Underworld. If you need to stock up on
any items, you can head back to the Dagat's hold. And no, that's what the
shop is called... It's not some weird typo.

Spiral clockwise around the stairs. Near the end of the first area, Daedalus
will mention sensing the Titans nearby. Daedalus feels bad about straying so
far away from the path of righteousness, even given wisdom that seemed pure
but in the end realized it was tainted with evil. Much like the knowledge on
how to build the Craesis. Continue down to B2.
There's a chest here with TOTAL PHYSIC on your way spiraling down to B3.
Starting B3, there's nothing on this floor. Forge ahead to B4.
A little into this area, you'll be approached by Hephaestus. He instantly
recognizes the hero's Titan Sword and inquires on the matching Titan Dagger.
Leucos shows the dagger and Hephaestus offers to sharpen up the two weapons.
TITAN SWORD and TITAN DAGGER's true power opened. Continue along the path to
get two chests with POWTESMA ROOT and STAFF OF THUNDER, with another chest a
little further beyond with TOTAL PHYSIC. Continue to B5.
Follow along to grab a chest with OLYMPIAN SHIELD. This is the last area
before getting to an area without a save ability, but this is the endgame.
Once ready, forge ahead to the next area to chase Typhon down.

Go down the set of stairs and enter the next screen. The team will find
Typhon on the edge when the whole area begins to shake; both the hero and
Daedalus get split up from the main group. The land around begins to sink, so
Daedalus throws the hero up on the platform with the rest of the team. As
he sinks to his death, Daedalus says to the hero "will you quit trying to fly!
Keep your feet planted firmly on the ground!" which he quickly changes his
last words to live as you wish. The team expresses their condolences, saying
that Daedalus spoke as if he were speaking to someone he cared about. The
team peps themselves up, then we ready ourselves for the final battle.
BOSS data Name | HP | EXP | Drops
-------------------------------|----------|--------|--------------------------
Rear-Right Arm | < 9100 | -- |
Front-Right Arm | < 9100 | -- |
Rear-Left Arm | < 9100 | -- |
Front-Left Arm | < 9100 | -- |
Typhon | < 30000 | -- |
Typhon strategy:
Attacks - [Rear-Right Arm] De'sprim; Undertow ~ One row, sends to back row
[Front-Right Arm] Thrall
[Rear-Left Arm] De'sthen, Pow; Undertow ~ One row, sends to back row
[Front-Left Arm] Paralyze, Sprim
[Typhon] Cannon Breath ~ Targets one
Byrnge Breath ~ Targets one row
Megalo ~ Spell, targets all
Thanatoskiss ~ Spell, targets all
Celestial Wrath ~ Targets one character at end of turn,
then does ~2800 dmg next turn
I started this fight with everyone, but Axios, at level 44. Axios was at 48.
Eris and, to an extent, Heracles are the main damage dealers in this battle.
Thus, at least give Eris the Underworld Cloak to prevent most all status. Use
Heracles' Supplicate on Typhon itself while letting Eris use Chant two turns
in a row. The rest of the team can act as support through those intial two
turns, letting Heracles continue his Supplicate attack. On the third turn,
let Eris unleash Helion, doing at least 10k damage to all of Typhon's arms,
forcing them into overkill. Follow it up with the hero or Leucos using
Argiona, leaving the party with only having to deal with Typhon. Other than
Celestial Wrath, which you can heal fully in the following turn, the rest of
Typhon's attacks won't be as damaging. At this point, keep up the attacks
however you like and we'll be going to the credits.
Congrats on beating Glory of Heracles!
* * * * * END GAME SPOILERS * * * * *
This is just a safety paragraph for those not wanting to be spoiled. Turn
back now if you don't want to read about the ending and such. Anyway, it's
been fun writing this up and exploring the game. I just wish I used those
Sibyl's Balms more, hence my game time bordering on 45 hours, although a lot
of it was while trying to figure out rough HP values for enemies. Oh, and
getting into fights so there is enemy data. But yeah, fun ride and hope y'all
had at least an okay experience; one last warning to turn away from spoilers.
The party charges in for one final, coordinated attack on Typhon, seeing as
their job isn't done yet. The goal is to overkill Typhon, which the team does
on autopilot. Upon doing so, Typhon explodes into ether and a large boom
emanates from the Isle of Sleeping Evil, a wave sweeping across the globe,
returning everything to light.
Then a bunch of scenes happen all at once: Back in Athens, Piazza walks the
streets with Nestor by her side; cut to Laconia and see Flora reuniting into
her mother's arms; Cassandra is rebuilding Troy with kids surrounding her; the
Nymphs dance in the Doubtwood; life in Trantia starts to look normal; Athens'
port shows the kid we met with Arnos now running his own ship; the tour with
the Head Priestess, back in Cnossus, is now exploring Sparta's Temple of Hera.
Now for the main party. We cut to Heracles looking at the wreckage of his and
Iphicles' home in the Caucasus, with Eris in her true form coming up to meet
Heracles. Together, they go to visit Prometheus where Heracles uses a sword
to cut Prometheus free from the rock. Axios, in his new form, is staying at
the Temple of Oceanus. Then we finally cut to Leucos, looking at the remains
of the theatre in Neapolis. A young woman comes up to Leucos, saying she's
looking for someone, and names the hero. She relates that she used to live
on a small island together with the hero but he flew away by strapping wings
to his back and leaping off the tallest cliff, going into the sunset. This
person she's looking for had a scholarly father who excelled at inventing
things but, when his mother passed, he started to miss his father and tried
to meet him. But the thing she misses most about this person was his flute
playing, terrible as it may be. The scene then cuts to the hero standing atop
a cliff and attempting to play the flute. A bird flies by in the sky and the
hero's playing ability improves. Zeus, watching from above, says that the
hero has done pretty well for being a marionette, letting him live to further
improve his flute playing skills.
Then cue credits, afterwards gaining an "Extras" menu at the title screen.
Selecting it gives you access to "New Game+," "Survival," "Records," and
"Collection." Congrats again on beating Glory of Heracles!

IV. Weapons / Armor / Polisher List [kahlan]
==============================================================================
An explanation for the following weapon and armor lists:
Weapon/Armor Name: Just as it says; what the weapon/armor is called.
User: C stands for the hero, L for Leucos, A for Axios, H for Heracles
and E for Eris. If their letter appears, they can equip the item.
STR / DEF / INT / AGI: The modification that the weapon/armor has on the
Strength, Defense, Intelligence or Agility stat when
the item is equipped by the character.
Ability / Skill / Magic: The other attributes that the item grants. Abilities
are always active, Skills are attacks that can be
used while the item is equipped and Magic is the
spell that can be used when equipped. They instantly
learn the Ability/Skill/Magic (ASM) but will lose it
if unequipped. If the ASM starts with an asterisk *,
that ASM is unlocked after the use of an Alchemist.
If a caret ^ is listed before the ASM, then an
Alchemist must unlock it after having unlocked an
asterisk * ASM first. The rare greater than sign >
is reserved for needing a third ASM Alchemist unlock.

V. History [bunnys]
==============================================================================
January 19, 2010 - Bought game and started writing FAQ. Beat the first boss,
same one from the trailers. Just typing everything up, but the
walkthrough itself is only up to Cnossus.
Random statistics: Pages(4) Characters(8945)
Words(1715) Bytes:(13650)
January 20, 2010 - Picking up after midnight. Still typing up all the notes
I've made today, but made it up through Orthos. Still need to get
up to saving Heracles in the next town.
Random statistics: Pages(12) Characters(17777)
Words(3683) Bytes:(26697)
January 21, 2010 - More midnight typing. Lots of formating changes, but it's
meant to streamline things for later. New weapon/armor section.
Wondering if Hypnos' HP data is supposed to be like that.
Random statistics: Pages(18) Characters(25944)
Words(5551) Bytes:(41386)
January 22, 2010 - Hey look, it's midnight again. At least now it feels like
I've caught up, somewhat. Consolidated Polisher data. Getting to
writing up the Tower stuff, with the princess. Fun line there.
Random statistics: Pages(26) Characters(38670)
Words(8532) Bytes:(63665)
January 23, 2010 - You guessed it. But my notes and what's typed up is almost
in-line with one another. I don't know why I don't want to deal w/
the Tower of Eld stuff, it being sandwiched between completed areas.
But that's done, and my playthrough today to take notes, holy. That
was a super long segment that felt like it wouldn't end. Almost
thought it was endgame gauntlet long.
Random statistics: Pages(32) Characters(50890)
Words(11267) Bytes:(83120)
January 24, 2010 - Eh, I did this with the other FAQs. In the middle of the
super long, no save-ability area. Still writing it up, but I have
written notes up to the "horse."
Random statistics: Pages(37) Characters(57412)
Words(12670) Bytes:(93834)
January 25, 2010 - Whoops, forgot to update weapon/armor data. About to enter
Troy... and entered, getting the shop data that's open. And wow, I'm
caught up on all my notes. Writing intro and soon, some anchors.
Random statistics: Pages(44) Characters(72327)
Words(16085) Bytes:(114139)
January 26, 2010 - Anchors added. Reading through for typo corrections.
Almost have a boat (coincidence with adding FAQ anchors), but my DS
battery got low, so I had to stop in an area without saves.
Submitting FAQ for first time tonight, and no typing past midnight!
Random statistics: Pages(51) Characters(84805)
Words(18695) Bytes:(133126)
January 27, 2010 - More progress. Focused mainly on Alchemist upgrades and
the Athens shops, but mostly the former since there weren't any in
all of Troy. Typo'd a main character often and fixed. Not enough
to warrant an uploaded update just yet.
Random statistics: Pages(57) Characters(94541)
Words(21076) Bytes:(151921)
January 28, 2010 - Replayed Troy to Athens with new haul for Alchemist data.
Annoying double boss on the boat and more Alchemist data in Byblos.
Random statistics: Pages(63) Characters(105161)
Words(23438) Bytes:(168126)
January 29, 2010 - Updated weapon/armor lists as best I can. Put placeholders
for all the stuff in between towns, typing up lists through Egypt.
Random statistics: Pages(68) Characters(110467)
Words(24654) Bytes:(180977)
January 30, 2010 - Two towns are set, with placeholders through Neapolis.
Random statistics: Pages(76) Characters(124232)
Words(27751) Bytes:(202939)
January 31, 2010 - Catching up on yesterday's notes and continuing today's
progress. Lots and lots of story progression.
Random statistics: Pages(82) Characters(138030)
Words(30866) Bytes:(221886)
February 1, 2010 - Filling in lists, both for towns and weapon/armor. Place-
holders between towns. Not uploading just yet.
Random statistics: Pages(89) Characters(148113)
Words(33104) Bytes:(241542)
February 2, 2010 - Up through the Di-Taphus, minus the boss strategy. Notes
extend beyond to another boss fight, but sending in this update
since it's a significant jump from the last version.
Random statistics: Pages(95) Characters(160076)
Words(35831) Bytes:(258060)
February 3, 2010 - Huh, I underestimated how far the ending was. Picked up
where I left off yesterday... and then the credits soon after.
Submitting as complete. Wow, over 100 pages.
Random statistics: Pages(101) Characters(173714)
Words(38833) Bytes:(277108)
March 14, 2010 - Didn't forget about this. Filled in most missing items after
starting the collection, through Benghazi; noted in Walkthrough.
Rewrote Prophasis since it was unclear; still no pattern...
