I also like writing Poetry. Enjoy!
Butterfly
I actually don't remember writing this one lol. Also from my
AlphaSmart. It's very short but I thought it was nice.
Connection
Wrote this one morning testing out my new-to-me AlphaSmart Neo.
In memory of my friend whose time together I will always hold
dear to my heart.
Kill the Bit (Personified)
We're supposed to be working on plays in my current creative
writing class, but I'm not quite getting the "play" feel. Still,
this is a sort of "play," wherein an Intel 8080 CPU is being
personified through the code for the Altair 8800's "Kill the Bit".
Blessing for this Body
It sucks to get old. It sucks even more to be old when you are so
young.
Ode to Computers
Written as part of an exercise in my CRWT-2400 class in about 15
minutes (with about 10 minutes to revise it). I think there's
still more I could do to it to organize it and make the rhythm
even better, but my classmate liked it so I figured I'd share.
Tomorrow (Italian Sonnet)
Written as part of an exercise in my CRWT-2400 class. We were
supposed to write an Italian sonnet (although I broke the rhyme
scheme twice because I felt it better that way).
Tired Ground
A poem that I wrote for myself and revised for a workshop. It is,
essence, a prayer for healing and strength.
Mother's Kitchen
Another warm-up exercise. I actually didn't like this one that muc
Needed to be about my mother's kitchen, with something green and
something dead - and no self-insert. Did a bad job with meter.
Fools in the Rain
Written on the spot as part of a warm-up exercise. Had to use a pr
and at least five words from a given list.
Wandering for Love
Mood
Bubbles
Written in memory of my grandfather. We used to sit outside
together on the swing talking and blowing bubbles. I miss it.
