lol that's true.* I mean storage space has gotten cheaper and
cheaper but as that happens, our capabilities and needs get
bigger and bigger. Five years from now, what you consider a big
disk drive will seem pathetically small.* The computer you think
of as fast will seem like a dinosaur. That's been happening less
and less but it's still happening.* Still, it blows my mind that
a computer that's 5 years old can run a good amount of anything
out there.* The evolution of computers was UNBELIEVABLY fast in
the* 90s and you were out of date so fast, they didn't even
bother making computers fashionable things really.* It was all
about RAW SPEED AND POWER and storage. I have a 2TB external
hard drive I bought maybe two years ago.* The mere idea of a
terabyte was unbelievable just a few years before that.* Now 2TB
is nothing. I'm looking forward to 100TB drives being as cheap
as my 2TB drive was, or SSD becoming the norm.* Or system
memories of 256GB being boring and everyday.* It wont' be long.*
Meanwhile, I keep trying to stretch the limits of what I have
each time I get something. I think our graphics capabilities is
where a lot of big changes have been happening.* But the stuff
they've been able to do with smartphones will hopefully
translate to the desktop... video editing on the PC is a chore
but on my little iPhone 5s is amazing, even though my computer
is technically more powerful. Oh well I'm babbling :P
