Level of incomprehensibility. As a goal for a species, it's a
good one. Reminds me of the Peter Principle from the workplace:
A man is promoted to his level of incompetence. [he can't
advance anymore because at the final level, he's over his head,
but can't go back down either]
[and the moral is: "That's why the world is run by incompetent
