Mathematics: Useful but I can't give it a god-like status and I
believe programming will eventually overthrow mathematics. My
view of things is more linguistic in nature. I tend to believe
in synonyms; and structures can be created that exceed the
original synonyms but nonetheless, are formed on the basis of
our biological numerosity and that ideal forms do not exist
anywhere but in and for ourselves. The map is not the territory,
although the map may do a fantastic job at describing the
territory, as it were. There are places where mathematics falls
flat, but linguistics takes over. Lying for example.
Half-truths. Uncertainty. There are things that mathematics
cannot describe nor predict. Useful but not ultimate. I can
agree that a more pragmatic and practical language has not yet
been devised that can create ideal forms that exist in our
cognitive systems to assist in describing and manipulating
reality - although programming is coming close to overthrowing
  mathematics, I believe, as a viable alternative - but I can't
  give it god-like status.
