+[1]Flemming Hansen Oh I had to look up the quote; the singular
reference linked it to Thelema which links it to Crowley
ultimately.* While every ideology has a mystery behind it,
either "ancient" or "handed down through the ages and sages", or
what you often see in online debating, "self-evident" or
"rational" - or what I hear from mathematicians, "mathematics is
pure" -* it doesn't really matter where.* Every ideology has a
history behind it from my viewpoint: nothing fell from the sky
or has a "history from the misty ages at the dawn of mankind". I
mean - it may - I'm not saying that it doesn't - but I grew up
surrounded by teenage Wiccans (yeah, 80s - it was big then) -
and EVERYBODY had some mysterious grandmother who taught them
the ancient ways of xxxxxxx etc. And once you hear the same
story enough times from different people, rather than confirming
it, it get me skeptical and I go, "Ok now, how can all of these
different people have the same story?"* and then I dig a little.
that's not to say I found "the truth" as it were; I just like
getting a well-rounded overview of subcultures; I find it all
  quite interesting.
