# Forgotten Film Cameras - alfred's Gemini capsule
I recently found some 35mm prints from late 2005. They, and the negatives, had deteriorated badly [1], but it surprised me to learn I still had a film camera then, having used a digital extensively since early 2004.
After some sleuthing, I found I had bought a Kodak Cameo in 2002, which replaced an Olympus SuperZoom 3000 that had died after 9 years. The Cameo was a pocketable, clamshell/flip-up flash design with fixed focus.
[1] Likely a too-cheap processor, maybe cheap film too. I regret it now, but I didn't know deterioration was a risk until many years had passed.
