The Polson Flathead Lake Museum in Polson, Montana, has a 1929 Ford Model A Briggs Sedan. This car is not exhibited because it is an old car but because it has a local history. Its owner, Mary Scheu, bought the car new and drove it until she was 96 years old. The mileage on the car’s odometer is original, much of it from driving the 3.5 miles to town for groceries or to visit her friends.
According to the Museum:
“One of her friends, seeing Mary behind the wheel, dubbed the car ‘The Green Hornet.’”
This car is exhibited for it local history and has not been restored and so the wear on the seats is shown.
Notice the use of the blanket to cover the worn seat upholstery.
The Model A’s trunk looks like an actual trunk.
