Trump whines about history and babies of slaves [1]

Donald is in the UAE today, but he found time to write a long Truth Social post anyway.
Trump is once again railing about birthright citizenship. Not once does he ever mention the 14th Amendment or the language in it, which is quite clear about citizenship for people born in America.
Trump follows through with his greatest hits about the subject. Pregnant people entering the country with the specific purpose of having their baby in America, giving them citizenship. He calls the procedure taking a vacation. This time, he includes their families as well, taking a vacation to become US citizens. That, of course, doesn't happen. Only the child born here is qualified.
"... all the time laughing at the 'SUCKERS' that we are!"
I've never seen pictures or videos of people at the border laughing or even smiling. Most of them are glad to be alive and that they got there.
"The United States of America is the only Country in the World that does this, for what reason, nobody knows..."
There are 30 other countries that offer the same rights. Donald just can't help but lie because he has no valid argument.
"But the drug cartels love it!"
Right. Drug cartels are sending their pregnant women, carrying because they were raped by cartel members, over the border, never to see them again. That just makes no sense at all. By bringing up the cartels doing it, it must be illegal and gives Trump the right to circumvent the Constitution.
"We are, for the sake of being politically correct, a STUPID Country..."
You're a stupid president. He uses the term "politically correct" to invalidate the whole idea. I'm surprised he didn't add in DEI.
Then Trump tries to give us all a history lesson. The 14th Amendment was just about "babies of slaves."
"Birthright citizenship is about the babies of slaves."
No, it gave all former slaves in the country citizenship, not just their babies. Trump gets an "F" in history right there. But, then he has to compound his error with more errors.
"As conclusive proof..."
It's nothing of the sort. The Amendment was passed after the Civil War, but it's an Amendment, not a federal law that was passed and could be easily rescinded.
"It had nothing to do with illegal immigration..."
He missed his opportunity to say "illegal aliens."
"It had to do with Civil War results..."
We all know you'd be happier if the Confederates had won. Then all those uppity Black people would know their place.
"... and the babies of slaves who our politicians felt, correctly, needed protection."
One more time. It wasn't just babies.
"Please explain this to the Supreme Court of the United States."
I don't think there is a single one of the Justices that need your history lesson. Then Trump explains that people coming from all over the world was a reason to negate the 14th. Hmm. What about those 59 white Afrikaners you rolled out the red carpet to? Way back, you said we needed more immigrants like from Norway. Gee, they're white, too. Seeing a pattern?
"It wasn't even a subject."
As king, all you're looking for is more subjects. In fact, there was a lot of immigration to the United States after the Civil War, but pretty much nobody cared about it at the time.
"What we had were the BABIES OF SLAVES."
I don't even know how to respond to Trump's idiocy. He keeps saying "babies of slaves" as a justification for ignoring what has worked for 160 years, and is right there in the Constitution. The more times he says it, the more valid it becomes. SCOTUS would look at this post and go, "Say what?!?"
"Thank you for your attention to this matter. Good luck with this very important case."
It's a third person grand finale. The "good luck" he hopes is in his direction. He's going to find differently. SCOTUS could make up stuff out of thin air with the presidential immunity because it wasn't described in the Constitution, because no one thought it needed to be. This time, it is directly written into the Constitution.
There should be a bunch of memes created after this "babies of slaves" post. It should get coverage like the pope picture and the gold 747.
He whines and whines about history. The real baby is Trump.
Then he did one short post to reassure himself that he must be right. Doesn't work this time, either.
Huffpost has an excellent article on the SCOTUS oral arguments in the case. Apparently it really Isn't about the 14th Amendment itself, this time, but about whether a federal judge can issue an injunction or order nationwide. At least that's what I read into it. Trump former lawyer, Solicitor General of the US, Dean John Sauer argued the government's case.
